Now that I've primarily gotten shit moved into office... guess I should make a speech or something...
Well, for starters, to everyone that voted for me, thanks. To those that didn't, no hard feelings. I know I didn't give people much to go on besides taking over for Cassian and keeping his stuff going, but since actually throwing my name in the race I've been doing something thinking, and I've come up with a few ideas.
My primary objective is to address the financial situation the guardian's office is in. As you've probably noticed we've had a few fundraisers here and there. That's fine, I'm not trying to deter anyone from doing that, but at the same time I would like to be able to reliably pay my deputies without worrying about next month's income. I've got some ideas that I'll be floating to mayor Cecil and working to just make things more profitable in general.
Second, as the home to the only place in Genessia that has a place where people can fight to the death with no repercussions, I'd like to open that up more publicly and encourage people with issues with one another to settle them there, and not bother anyone else. Exceptions obviously apply.
Those are the two big things. That said, if anyone has suggestions or would like to talk to me, I've got an open door policy so please feel free to contact me.
Also, because of the imminent heat wave, I'd like to put out a call to anyone with wind, water, or ice powers. Anyone interested in helping out, contact me.

We need to celebrate. Preferably with booze.
Private to Kay and Cassian
Cassian, I've already got your first assignment, Kay you're riding shotgun on this one.
Private to Weiss
I can only assume you were the 'icicle sensei' Bakugo listed as potential deputy. I'd like to talk to you about him. During the election I just saw a kid with serious anger issues and ambition. Want to know what you saw in him.
Private to Bakugo
You want this job? Fine. Come to my shop and beat me in a fight and I'll let you have the job. No holds barred. Bring whoever you want to cheer you on or whatever, but this will be a purely one on one fight.

You'll have to ask him that yourself. My job as a teacher is to evaluate, teach, and grade. If Bakugo didn't have any chance at all being a pro, I would had dropped him out on day one.
[And he was quite serious about that.]
You have anything to drink?
action.
Then let me ask you something else. Why did you become a hero?
Re: action.
I was talked into it. [Which reminds him of Present Mic. Damn this place.] It was a better career choice given my quirk can nullify other quirks.
Keep in mind, it's not like the heroes in the comics. Our reasons to fight varies. Some do it just for the money, popularity, justice, rescues, supports, or something else. While some are in more for the glory and gloat the media, there are others who actually do their jobs right.
action.
[He sighs a bit, a tad disappointed.]
It may not be like in comics in your world, but you guys are still first responders like firemen and paramedics, right? I'd think it would be more than "just a job"...
action.
If it was 'just a job' then anyone could apply.
[Which said something.]
We are the first to responde in crisis. We have to be level headed, guide the citizens, know our role, and make no mistake. Hell, even cooperate.
[Side glare, cause he's dead serious.]
If anyone thinks it's just some job, then they better look for something else.
Re: action.
[Excuse him while he drains half that bottle of vodka all at once.]
Re: action.
[He finishes up his beer, but yes, he is watching that and its making his throat burn.]
That said, I'm interested in volunteering as Deputy or whatever you want to call it, if you have a position available. If not, don't worry about.
action.
I can't make any promises just yet. Attleton's guardian office isn't the best funded, and I've not had a chance to look at the finances and see if we could afford another Deputy. If we can, I'd be more than happy to have ya. But I don't expect you to work for nothing, either.
Re: action.
That's fine. You are still free to call me with rational reasons, and I'll do the same for you as well.
[Especially if Villains woke up here, even if they start with a clean slate.]

[He's a work-o-holic.]

[Dante is just the opposite.]
Re: action.
Something tells me that should be avoided at all cost too.

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

[He gives a wave before he's off.]
