[Voice]
Action [Any forest, beaches, or drinking at the bar]
Wherever he goes, he walks silently like a shadow. Unnoticed, invisible, throughout the cities, the forest, wherever he feels like going. One blink of an eye you might see him. The next blink, you don’t. For he’s the Night Walker, one of his many names, and he wanders at night, exploring the cities.
Late at night, he would drink in any seedy bar and keep things to himself. It was hard to see his expression beneath his red hat and the surrounding dark aura around him, drinking his wine and spirits in the corner all alone by himself.
Wherever he goes, he's a tall figure, wearing a red coat, and a red wide-brimmed hat, and a pair of sunset orange sunglasses. The wind whipped at his tailcoat. His shadow overcast darkness itself, blending with the night. Wandering, aimless in his nightly strolls.
Audio
[Here's a voice that Genessia never heard before. It was a deep baritone, dark..and tired. And sad. And lethargic. That voice would have been proud once, even menacing, but the owner of the voice is trying.]
"How do you handle the heat wave? It's hot. Still, for a summer night, it's a good night to drink some blood chilled with ice. I preferred to drink blood, then wine afterward to make it sweet. I feel so hot, exhausted, and thirsty.
I haven't drunk anything decent in 30 years. I think I would pick the path of asceticism by now, but that path is unappealing as most religions go. But I won't lie. I am starving.
Whatever is in those blood bags? Beyond salvation. It's enough that I might want to give prayer a try, but I have a problem with putting my hands together and kneel. "
[Uh-oh somone is a harsh critic tonight.]

[She glares a few seconds before letting up and then sighing. When it becomes apparent he's not responding right away, Rip goes off to do her own thing. A hour later she pauses in what she was doing to consider his offer.
Instead of responding, Rip just heads out the door. The headaches were still bothering her but, the memories were at least starting to settle down some as she made her way to the park and just quietly sit across from him at the chess set.]
I know how to play, I'm just not good at it.
[Video -> Action]
[As he sets up the pieces, putting the pieces in their right place, he finally thought of it.]
By the way, did you still have your gun with you? After all of this time?
[ Action]
No, I don't. I lost it a long time ago und haf had two ozhers since. zhe last one vas destroyed in zhe vorld I vas in before I arrived here.
[Though she was curious as to why he asked about her dear musket.]
Vhy? I thought it vas lost on zhe ship.
no subject
[He leans back, casual and relaxed, waiting for Rip to make her first move. As to why he asked, he was only curious. He might have it, the original musket, within his abyss of a belly. But...well, he was certainly not surprised it was destroyed in either case. So he doesn't see the need to mentioned it.]
How did you get it destroyed?
no subject
..Vell, zhe one I had in Ceres vas zhe von I brought zhere from Ruby City. I had it custom made for me by a blacksmith zhere vhen I arrived...und a fire deity I pissed off melted it.
Zhe one I had vhen you last saw me I lost vhen zhe vorld collapsed around us. Not zhat it vas useful anymore. I lost zhe gunpowder I had stockpiled vhen zhe vorld reorganized itself.
[She paused for a moment, frowning as her memories of that time were really chaotic and heavily jumbled. Honestly, her last months in that place didn't make sense in the slightest to her. Rip closed her eyes and slid a hand up to pinch the bridge of her nose under her glasses for a few moments.]
...Really don't vish to think about zhat time. All I remember iz zhe insanity.

[The chess game is really for Alucard to see if she can concentrate. If she can't...]
Very well. Back to the game.
[For the next half an hour, Alucard tried to teach her the rules of the game, and the movements of each pieces role and where they should go, waiting patiently to see if Rip's headaches subsided or are still getting worst.]

[She came to terms with making this world count long before she even thought of going to the Dream Docks. Rip had no illusions that going from world to world was what was keeping her alive and intended on staying in this place for as long as she was capable.
Rip didn't want to loose people again. Especially those people that were precious to her.
She made her moves and over the next half an hour she listened and learned. Her strategies definitely would need work but then again, that had never been her strongest point. Rip had been a soldier, used to taking orders until she finally decided enough was enough and decided to start making her own choices..
Admittedly, the headaches weren't as bad now that she was focusing on something. It was a dull easy to ignore ache in the back of her head at the moment.. a welcome relief from earlier. ]

Alucard defeated her easily enough. He took most of her pieces. He sees through her strategy.]
Checkmate, my dear Huntress. Maybe next time, if you try putting in more effort, you will defeat me someday.
[There's a hint of sadness in his statement, but since she has a headache, she probably won't catch it. A pause, a beat.]
How is your headache now?
no subject
That stubborn determination that always had her either moving forward.. or trapped her. ]
It's.. better. I guess I just need something to focus on vhile I vait for zhem to fade.
[Pause]
Perhaps, but, if I keep putting my effort into beating you zhen I vill miss everyzhing und everyone around me. So, maybe I don't need to beat you, I just need to get to know you better.

[This is...going to take a while. After all, he didn't tell her a whole lot about himself when they're together in Adstringendum. In fact, he didn't mentioned anything about himself it at all.
But after what she has been going through for the past years. He figured she's ready. He reached inside his coat pocket to take out a cigar, light it up, and huffed.
A pause, a beat, and then...]
You know that pitiful fool who lives in the castle? The one who you called your father?
He and I shared the same name...or it was my name in my past at one point a long time ago.
no subject
So, she felt the best way to figure it out.. was to talk to him. Get to know the Dark Hunter across from her and see where it leads. Which meant she was listening as he spoke and didn't make a comment about the cigar or how much she didn't like them. They reminded her too much of a certain blonde woman she hoped never to see again.]
Zhat much I've been able to figure out on my own. Different version of zhe same person...It's not as uncommon az you think. Zhough, that does bring up a good question. Vat name do you prefer? You haf several.
no subject
If I want to be Count Dracula, I can willed myself to that form. If I'm in the mood to be Vlad Tepes, I can be that. Form doesn't really matter. It's all the same. It's just one for now. It's simply Alucard since it's a name I'm used to.
But for you, mein fraulin, Zamiel ist ein Name, der mein totes Herz erwärmt.
[My lady, Zamiel is a name that warms my dead heart.]
no subject
Dann ist Zamiel mein liebster dunkler Jäger.
[Then Zamiel it is my dearest dark hunter.]
It is definitely a name zhat suits you.
no subject
He reached out to give her raven black hair a playful ruffle.]
That is all for today. I think your beloved is waiting for you at home. Go home now.
[Hopefully, she gets some disclosure from him, and she is now sure she can sleep easily, having nothing to fear from him.]
Don't keep him waiting.
no subject
Instead, she rolled her eyes at the hair ruffle despite smiling and reluctantly pulled away from the board.]
Fine Zhen. Zhough, ve both vork nights in Everglade. I'm just.. on temporary leave until I feel like going back to vork.
[Sometimes it pays to be the one that does all the scheduling.]
But, if you insist, Zhen I suppose I shall haf to head home for zhe night.
no subject
Everglade, hm? Well, I'm everywhere and nowhere, so I'll see you around.
At least, you already have my number now whenever the mood strikes you to call me. The phone is much better here, I must say.
no subject
It really iz more convenient.
[She moved to stand up and then paused for a moment as a flash of something darted through her memory and made her pause. After a moments hesitation, Rip spoke again.]
Just.. don't disappear completely on me again Zamiel. At least, not vithout a good bye zhis time. I'm finding zhat I am really hating it vhen people do zhat to me.
no subject
And what he fears is that it will grow deeper over time and yet...]
...No promises, Kasper. I have a Master and a Fledging to come back home and return to. That's why I said to use your phone. It has a save feature, after all.
[It's a hint.]
no subject
And that included her insecurities and fears. As strange as it was, Zamiel was important to her and only time would tell just where that path lead her.
But, his hint was one she picked up on as she nodded once more with a slight smile. Even if he did disappear, she'd still have their conversations on her phone. ]
I am avare...and I'll make sure to make more use of my phone in zhe future.
