[Voice]
Action [Any forest, beaches, or drinking at the bar]
Wherever he goes, he walks silently like a shadow. Unnoticed, invisible, throughout the cities, the forest, wherever he feels like going. One blink of an eye you might see him. The next blink, you don’t. For he’s the Night Walker, one of his many names, and he wanders at night, exploring the cities.
Late at night, he would drink in any seedy bar and keep things to himself. It was hard to see his expression beneath his red hat and the surrounding dark aura around him, drinking his wine and spirits in the corner all alone by himself.
Wherever he goes, he's a tall figure, wearing a red coat, and a red wide-brimmed hat, and a pair of sunset orange sunglasses. The wind whipped at his tailcoat. His shadow overcast darkness itself, blending with the night. Wandering, aimless in his nightly strolls.
Audio
[Here's a voice that Genessia never heard before. It was a deep baritone, dark..and tired. And sad. And lethargic. That voice would have been proud once, even menacing, but the owner of the voice is trying.]
"How do you handle the heat wave? It's hot. Still, for a summer night, it's a good night to drink some blood chilled with ice. I preferred to drink blood, then wine afterward to make it sweet. I feel so hot, exhausted, and thirsty.
I haven't drunk anything decent in 30 years. I think I would pick the path of asceticism by now, but that path is unappealing as most religions go. But I won't lie. I am starving.
Whatever is in those blood bags? Beyond salvation. It's enough that I might want to give prayer a try, but I have a problem with putting my hands together and kneel. "
[Uh-oh somone is a harsh critic tonight.]

[Action, Everglade woods]
A frown crosses her lips as she moves from her "home" towards the location, eyes narrowed as her form shifts quickly from the illusion of a flesh and bone creature to skeletal and gaunt with red eyes and dark tattered cloak.
"What do you want?" Comes the snarl not far away, sounding anything but pleased.
no subject
Too bad she wasn't very good at convincing him that she is threatening and menacing enough, at least to him.
"Hm. I should ask the same question yourself. Is this your territory?"
no subject
So much for intimidating.
"Informally. I live out here and conduct my business and survival out here. As does my brother. We aren't particularly keen on people wandering in here." Especially not someone that puts her at ill ease from the very get-go. Not human, she's pretty sure of that at the very least.
no subject
He tipped his hat toward to her, "I shall go the other way then. You should keep on surviving. After all, Evergladians should be tough just like like yourself and protect what is rightfully yours. It's something I noticed."
Whoever this is, he is trying to be courteous.
[Action]
[Despite her fear, Liora gets curious enough to hop down the tree to look around. At least on the ground, there are fewer branches to obstruct her view.]
Hello...? Is someone here...?
[Action]
He tipped his hat toward her.]
"There is someone. Hello yourself. Who is there?"
[Action]
...I'm...Liora. Who are you...?
[Action]

[Admittedly, Rip was no better in some respects. She didn't leave the apartment during the day both because of the heat and the headaches she was still experiencing from her time in the dream docks. Those memories had yet to sort themselves completely out yet...]
Haf you tried zhe rum yet?
[Voice]
"I tried everything. Nothing can ever truly get me drunk. But no, not yet. I haven't found any."
Re: [Voice]
I'm an insomniac. I'm used to not being able to sleep so zhe heat keeping me avake hardly bozhers me.
[Fact of her life.]
So, same problem I haf. I've found vats to get drunk... but it alvays involves blood from non-humans.

So you ... drink blood?
audio
Yes. Blood. I need it as much as humans need food and air.
...you know, if you desire to be helpful, the blood banks in Everglade or the clinics at the hospitals are there for a reason.
[After a thought.]
But only when you're old enough and you felt the desire and calling to help.
audio
Humans need blood too. Do you... not need food and air? [ He doesn't get it. He doesn't get it et al. ] I do desire to be helpful! I can... help.
So. Do you want me to like.. collect my blood if I get hurt and give it to the clinics? [ What?? ] Or. You? My. Blood?

I'm a creature of darkness. I am a vampire. When you humans desire food as much as air, I desire blood for the very same reason. I'm asking for food. [And a second thought.] And to be served with wine.
Now what would you do about it?
[Audio]
Then I must stand against you. Blood belongs in veins; not in your stomach. [Unless the blood is given willingly, she supposes.] Drink your fill of wine. I will guard others if you put them in peril.

Augustine sits there and listens for awhile, his thoughts straying some as the speaker croons on about the sudden heat wave. Being that he's likened to a mage, Augustine is utterly unfazed by this sudden heat and humidity but others aren't so fortunate. He actually feels for this poor bloke, enough to sit through this odd recording with absurd attentiveness.
However, is he willing to respond? Augustine was just about to turn it off until he decided to speak.]
You're a vampire, aren't you? Either that or some bloke who thinks drinking blood for medicinal reasons is edgy.
[He chuckles some.]
Hopefully you're the real thing.
audio
[Anyway, rambling here.]
I wouldn't say edgy. Just very bland in taste. And of course. Is there any other alternative? After all, I heard killing is against the law, and that's one law I think I might be able to understand and adhere.
Re: audio
[All rambling aside, Augustine is amused.]
Killing is actually acceptable in Everglade. At least for creatures like us but we have no need to kill here.

[Action | In the forest we go~~]
..Not really. It would take a lot for her to die. REGARDLESS, the tol white and lavender dragon pranced with a bag full of valuable items and herbs found on her job in her mouth and stopped. Hana felt a weird pressence. Her fluff stuck up and she lowered herself to the ground]
Hello...?
[Hana sniffed the air and the ground, only catching an image of something..red]
...Who's there..? [the amount of Dark power within them frightened her, though]
But so late at night though? xD
He stopped in her tracks. Who is that...? Oh, it's just a girl. He tipped his hat toward to her and the tall, dark gentleman grinned.]
Good evening, my lady. What are you doing out, so late at night? It's hot out here.
Re: The latest night in the world cackles
Good e-evening~
[pauses, momentarily forgetting, then bowing feeling so flustered] Me? Oh haha, I'm just gathering some night-only items for my job, no worries~ Just part of my duties of being a human! No heat is no match for ah....me.
Uhm..how about you? Are..you lost?

Action - Forest
With all of his own energy carefully bottled up, he trails after the shadowy figure. His footfalls are quiet enough, for a child. Clearly someone accustomed to sneaking about, at least.
Or so it seems, until he steps on a twig. The sound of it snapping disrupt the otherwise relative quiet of the forest, drawing attention to the little person following after the tall red-clad being.]
---ah!

When Alucard heard the sound of a child and he realized he's being followed, he turned around and saw him.
The vampire looked at him with suspicion, but a child is a child.]
It's way past your curfew, little one. What are you doing out so late at night all by yourself?
no subject
[Curfew. Oh right. That annoying thing people sometimes concern themselves with when it comes to children. He'd been a bit spoiled in being able to roam about without people asking in the place he'd been in before now.]
