So many people seem to think it is hot outside today. I don't know why I am so cold.

I heard there was a beach party. I don't know if I should go, I don't have a proper outfit and I am not sure if Darling is desiring to go. But it could be fun, to enjoy the beach.

If you had asked Nephenee if it'd be too hard to find a cute swimsuit for Leanne, she'd have chuckled and said it shouldn't be too hard. After all, Leanne was a very pretty young lady, and had a nice figure and good coloring. Surely it couldn't be too bad...

What she'd forgotten was Leanne was somehow more modest than her. So they'd gone around shops, trying to find something that was modest enough to not freak Leanne too badly, but also was pretty and that Ikki would like. And failed for the most part...but as they had found some slightly nicer ones at the first store, she'd insisted on going back to try some on..with some modifications, she could make something wearable! She was sure of it!

Course, she'd also bribed the heron princess with ice cream; that helped.

"Ya know," Nephenee said after a lick of her cone, "that ruffley sit would look real cute with your wings. Ah think Ah can make the straps larger..."

This was a task that was supposed to be easy. Find just one bathing suit. Just one for her to wear. But all the ones they found, they were practically underwear! So far, each and every one of them, Leanne refused to even try on. Even to just humor the other woman, but then comes the bribe of ice cream.

Bribing the birb with food is the best way to make her agreeable.

"You think so? But my legs and ankles are showing on that one...."

Anything worth doing was worth doing well, and sometimes that meant having a harder time of something.

"But ya have nice legs. Ya should embrace 'em," Nephenee said helpfully. For her part, she was wearing shorts, partially because it was entirely too hot, and also because Morgan might pop up at any moment. It was a long shot, but she really did hope. "An' it looks so good with your wings...Ah think Ikki will really like it..."

Being a big sister, Nephenee had no trouble using things to coerce her siblings, as long as they weren't actually bad things.

"But I dont want anyone to see my nakedness besides Darling." So much blushing as she licks her ice cream. Her blush deepens when she had to mention Ikki liking that one swimsuit.

"I dont know... He's not here so he won't know about it."

She is countering that coercing with her own. She has noticed Nephenee's choice of clothing and is quite shocked about it. But... It was the other woman's choice to wear it.

[He's sure, that if Saori or Tatsumi would saw him, they would have a heart attack. Or at least be frozen in shock so much that they may remain like that for a few days. Phoenix Ikki, the rebel, the one that refused to do anything when asked... Bothering to take care of a mansion as big as Saori's as if he was some servant. But he isn't and he knows that if one day he stops doing it or doesn't do "everything" no one will demand him to do it. But the place is big and there are many people there, more and more it seemed, and he still feels as if they are taking advantage of Grell's and Marco's kindness so he keeps making sure that there's enough food, that even if someone gets up in the middle of the night they will find something to eat, delicious and ready so they don't have to bother preparing something or going back to bed while hungry.

And after he's made sure of that, he makes sure that everything is in order, doors locked, windows secured, nothing on the halls that would make someone trip if they walked around half asleep. He's sure that it's not even half the work of what someone like Tatsumi would do, but it's still a lot more than what Ikki would ever do in the Kido mansion. Even now. Still it takes time to do it all and be satisfied, even if he tries to do it quickly so his wife isn't left waiting for him for too long in their room.

Either way there's a smile on his face as he comes into their room.]

Still feeling cold? You may be the only person to complain about that during what seems to be a heat wave for this place.

[She was quite proud of herself. There is now a new family member living with them. Leanne couldn't help but to keep her chest puffed up with pride and chuckles at his words, when he enters. She was wearing a see through nightgown as it was only hi to see her like this.]

[He raises an eyebrow slightly at the glow of pride she has, he has a good idea why, he could sense the new Cosmo in the house and he knew who had been the one that brought it. He has yet to bother to talk personally even with the first of Leanne's friends to come, but he's still happy to see Leanne finding more people from her world. Though it worries him a little how she's bringing people there, he doesn't mind sharing the living space with them, even if it was a smaller house, but this isn't their house after all. Hopefully Grell won't get angry with them, though if she does then he will go and find another place for all of them.

It hardly feels like heat to me, Japan used to get temperatures like those and Death Queen Island and Kanon Island... Well, in the first one metals melted in the summer, so you can take a guess of how much hotter that was.

[And he lived in a volcano in Kanon Island which is even hotter. As he speaks he moves around to undress himself to prepare for bed.]

Maybe your problem is that you need some help to be hot.

[She always has the coldest hands but it is true that those days that she has complained about feeling cold she was cold to even his touch. Her hands were still the coldest, though, so he wasn't too worried about her being sick. Maybe it was a side effect from not having mated during Spring, or something.]

[She smiles at the sight of his raised eyebrow. She couldn't leave Michiah alone with no place to call home here. It was nice to have friends and adopted family members come here. She can introduce them to Ikki with pride and they can see her happiness that he has given her.]

[He always seem to find new was to amaze her. She watches him from her place on the bed, idly scooting over to for him to get his spot on the bed.]

[It pains him a bit to leave the bed specially early, even more so after everything that happened that night. But even if they have yet to have a proper talk he already knows Nephenee enough to know that she's an early riser like he is, and that she likes to help. So he has to get up extra early to have an advantage over her.

So by the time she wakes up, there will already be a delicious smell coming from the kitchen. And if she goes there she will find a grand breakfast prepared just for her, there's fruit, pie, sausages, eggs, boiled eggs, pancakes, honey, syrup, bread, toasts... Anything one can imagine and everything freshly made.]

[For Micaiah:]

[He allows the recently kidnapped girl to sleep a few more hours, no point in waking her up at five in the morning. Making sure to keep an eye on her energy just in case she is the type to wake up early. When she does, there'll be a knock on her door as Ikki stands there with a tray with a big and delicious breakfast.]

[It probably says something that Nephenee's first thought upon waking up and smelling the food is 'who's been in my kitchen?' even if it isn't her proper kitchen. But she ignores the immediate urge to go in there and at least washes up and throws on her workout clothes before trotting into the place. Oh, that's...quite a spread.]

...Whoa. That's a buncha food. You got early to make all this? We expectin' folks to get up before usual? It smells so good...

[She's too busy scanning over all the food to notice anything different about him yet. Or to put two and two together.]

[Ikki smiles easily from his spot, working on the second service already, it's a small smile, typical of him but somehow easier to see as a whole. He can't help to be extra happy and grateful somehow.]

Not at all, what you see on the table is your breakfast so help yourself and take whatever you want. I'm now preparing breakfast for everyone else. Don't move the tray, please, that's where I'm placing Micaiah's breakfast.

[That gets her to look up at him from the spread and...yeah something's different. She blinks for a moment, taking it all in.]

[ Micaiah is... not quite an early riser, but surely not a later one either. When she stirs from her much needed rest, she found herself staring at a rather tall and imposing man. Surprise laces her features for a moment, before she remembers what actually happened last night. ]

[ She feels like she doesn't deserve this nice hospitality, but she'd feel even more rude refusing it, so she nods. ]

It's a very welcomed change after not having a place to sleep in, isn't it? Some days I still need a moment to remember that I now have a bed.

[He's glad that she doesn't take wrongly that he invited himself in, he could have waited outside and simply awake her from there, but then chances are she would have wanted to dress up or something. Which ruins the idea of breakfast in bed. He helps her set the tray ready for her to start digging in.]

I'm not familiar with your diet, if there's anything you don't eat or can't eat, so I tried to make it varied. If there's anything you don't like just tell me. I can also prepare more if you find it lacking.

[Which would require her to probably have a bottomless stomach but he wouldn't judge.]

[ Well, she's a little intimidated, but given that he's focused entirely on serving breakfast in bed, she won't bother bringing things up. After all, she hasn't seen a man this courteous since... Sothe, to be honest.

The thought of him makes her heart ache, but it's brief, and the only thing that shows is a momentary far away look in her eyes.
