002 🎶 Job Seeking
🎶 [A][VIDEO] Earning Money
[The video cuts on, the phone angled up to show Azura from the waist up, like it's been set on a table. Her arms are folded in front of her, resting lightly on the aformentioned table.]
I'm not certain this is the best place to ask, but I'm looking for employment. I'm a songstress, but I have other skills I can utilize also. If you know of anything that might be suitable, I'd appreciate the help.
[She lifts a hand to tuck some hair behind one of her ears, glancing off camera for a moment.]
I don't want to be too picky, but I am not afraid to turn down inappropriate offers.
🎶 [B][ACTION] Shopping
[Grocery shopping is unfortunately something that everyone has to do. Azura though, rather finds she enjoys it. Right now she's paying particularly close attention to the selection at a vegetable stand. Unfortunately it's enough attention that a thief feels emboldened enough to cut the strap of the coin purse she's using.]
...Stop! [she shouts, not quick enough to grab at the fleeing thief. The vegetables she'd been holding tumble to the ground, her hesitation lasting only a moment before she tries to chase the thief down.]
Stop, thief!!

[ Ayame nods, continuing to walk with curious pedestrians looking down at the unconscious thief on the ground. ]
And yes, it is indeed frustrating. Only because I have built a decent life for myself in my previous awakening in this world. I started my own clothing business, built my own house...
[ Ayame shrugs, creating a cleft in space where she stashes the bottle away for safekeeping ]
But now I'm here again, I'm starting from the bottom again.

But that must be frustrating. Surely you'll be able to get to that point again, given time. [for now, it might be a bit inconvenient.] I'm sure some people would relish the chance to start over and have a second chance.

[ She scoffs, amused at how fate seems to have weird plans for her. Not that she believes in fate. Not wanting to be a downer about how lost she is in life, Ayame listens to her own and Azura's optimism instead ]
I suppose I'll just have to wait and see what the future holds. I'm open to try new things. Perhaps I could start thinking of possible things to try by asking you what your career is. Here, and before.

Ah, I'm actually looking into finding employment myself. It's not something I've had to before.
[here or... otherwise.]
My title back home wasn't a job.

[ One of them being ol' Xander ]
Were you nobility, by any chance? A good way to find ideas is to go to the Employment Building here in Genessia City. I could guide you to it afterwards. Unless you've already been.

I wouldn't mind the help, although I have managed to find a few leads.

Royalty seem to cross paths with me in every world I travel to. It's wonderful.
[ Ayame glances away with a soft grin, amused by that fact. But she doesn't treat Azura any different after knowing about her royal blood. No change in her tone or the way she carried herself. Returning her glance at Azura while they proceed to walk to the store that Azura had been previously before the theft, Ayame asks ]
What leads have you acquired so far?
[ Ayame missed the video that Azura sent out in the network earlier, so she remains unaware of Azura's job as a songstress back in her world ]

I've heard of a few places that could employ a songstress like me. Strangely, even a bakery was suggested. [she says this with a laugh, even if she really will look into the lead Ted gave her, absurd as it is.]
But, I'm curious, what do you mean you cross paths with royalty? Is it that common?

[ She asks under her breath. That is weird enough to give Ayame a pause, looking puzzled at the idea. She suppose there's sit-down restaurants that specialize in baked goods and hires live music, but that seems unlikely. But her focus drifts to Azura's next question, setting aside the bakery topic for later once she wraps her head around it ]
In hindsight, I suppose it isn't uncommon in my previous line of work. I was a soldier, and my organization had close ties with royalty and political leaders in both human and alien factions in alliance with us. I've had the privilege to meet princesses mostly.
But that is in my world, and the others I've been to where my organization had ties with. Genessia is new in that we're completely unheard of in here, apart from a subarchway that a friend of mine had sacrificed something for. In here, I'm currently friends with a princess, and even a crown prince one time. He became Guardian of Fayren briefly before he was sent home.

[It's impressive, especially considering the manner in which Ayame must have to carry herself, with responsibilities she seems to carry. It may have been sheer accident, but this meeting is one Azura sees as fortunate. Not to mention, overall, Ayame is a kind hearted woman, to boot.]
I had no idea you'd seen so much happen here. Who is it that you've met? You're telling me these stories, and I'm curious about just who I'm hearing about.

[ She chuckles, holding her head high as she wistfully sighs with a happy expression etched on her features. Memories of her time here had swam back into her mind's eye, both the good and the bad. Her eyes turn to face Azura again as she answers the woman's question ]
The princess I spoke of is Anastasia of Nivia. You might see her around in the network, she has a tendency to make videos every week it seems. Whereas the prince I told you about, his name was Xander from a kingdom he called Nohr if I remember correctly. Very reserved man, if not a little stiff.

Prince Xander!? [He'd... he'd been here before?. Azura reaches out to grab the sleeve of Ayame's shirt but stops herself. She's been a little lonely, okay.]
Xander is a good man, if he was trying as hard as he had back home then... I'm certain things were running as well as they could be.
no subject
Ah, so you know him. Small world...
[ Ayame feels the same feeling of both being happy and sad for someone. Happy that Azura heard a familiar name, but also saddened by the fact that she's likely the only one from her home right now. Ayame extends an arm to lay a hand on Azura's shoulder ]
And agreed, I voted for him during the Guardian elections. What I saw from him had reminded me of someone I knew well. And I had faith Fayren would be in good hands with him as it's Guardian.
[ Ayame motions with her other hand, inviting Azura to keep moving forward, both in a literal and emotional sense. Xander might not be here anymore, but at least Azura can make a life for herself and meet new people to help fill whatever void she has in her heart of being the only one from her world that she knows of ]
Tell me how you know him?

[Corrin was kidnapped and brought to Nohr, and Azura wound up in Hoshido as retaliation. All things considered, she'd enjoyed her time in Hoshido to the point of guilt, considering she'd received the attention and love that Corrin should have received from Queen Mikoto and the others.]
It's no surprise to me that he ran for Guardianship. It suits him well.

[ Ayame lets go and hums in mild surprise at the revelation of Xander and Azura's familial bond, acknowledging Azura's feelings behind the issue. Step-siblings, that's something Ayame has a lot of herself. She didn't want to pry about the subject of the Nohrian family though, especially when they just met. She can just ask another time. Ayame sees the front of what looks like a small produce stand, with some littered vegetables on the sidewalk. ]
Ah, here we are. The scene of the crime.
[ Ayame spoke with a little lighthearted humor, lifting the vegetables off of the ground with her mind and cleaning them off the same way, like magic they seem to get rinsed off by water that came out of nowhere and dry off instantly. It all happens as if she's reversing time to the point where the vegetables never even hit the ground. But she's really just using her telekinesis ]
They're good as new, if you still want them. I bet you can make some very good vegetable stir-fry with these, unless you already had something in mind. [ Ayame realizes she's letting her excitement about food show, shaking her head lightly ] Sorry, cooking is just a passion of mine.
