3: Looking for Challengers!! Who is the Strongest?

[A lot has happened since Goku last addressed the community at large, mostly because he tends to forget where his device is. His arch-enemy showed up (and left), his birth father showed up (and left), his rival showed up, he got a job, he moved to another city...

He didn't put anything on the network for any of that, so whatever he's here to talk about must be important, right?]

Hey, everyone! Who's the strongest person you've ever fought? It could be here or back home; I just wanna hear about 'em!

[...Of course not; it's Goku. Training against the same people in the Holodeck again and again can get old, especially since Goku can't quite figure out how to get the holograms of Beerus, Whis, Monaka, Arale, and the other powerhouses to fight at full power. Either he gets a wider variety of opponents to face in there or he gets to fight an actual person - either way, he gets what he wants!]

[Zen-chan. That was...Goku's name for Zen-Oh-sama. King of the universe...or, she supposed, multiverse. The one who had literally erased her and Trunks' entire timeline like it was nothing.]

[And he...chose to hold a tournament.]

[Why did she have this strong feeling Goku was somehow responsible for that?]

Then all these universes are...similar? If 6 has Saiyans as well.

[She figured that out quickly, though it's likely obvious to anyone who knew Goku for more than an hour.]

Kind of! There's robots an' Namekians in some other universes, but there's also all kinds of aliens that we haven't seen before! There's even a few people who could beat me up without breakin' a sweat! [Of course, he sounds excited about that.]

[He would.]

Friendly people, I hope.

Yeah, mostly. A lot of 'em think I'm a bad guy, but other than that, most of 'em are fine. [Ironically, one of the most evil people in the tournament is on Goku's team.]

Why would they think you were bad?

[Not that she couldn't come up with theories of her own. With Black's face immediately coming to mind. Goku's face. His body. His strength and power. Even if there was someone else inside.]

I dunno - I don't really get it, but some of the Gods of Destruction think so, and so does Toppo, one of the really strong guys from Universe 11.

[Mostly because he really likes fighting, and they can't blame Zen-Oh for the stakes of the tournament without possibly being erased on the spot. Still, Goku's doesn't have the self-awareness (or the understanding of how dangerous Zen-Oh is) to realize that.]

[Mai frowned a bit deeper at that, eyes lowering for a moment as she thought it over. One person mistaking Goku for a bad person was one thing...but, the way he made it sound, there were several. Including a God of Destruction.]

Are you sure they didn't just really, really want to beat you?

I mean, you must be the strongest person in our Universe. Or close to it-- [She actually didn't know if Goku or Vegeta was stronger, Zamusa's opinion on the matter aside, and didn't want to open that can of worms.] --so if these people are strong too, then they might see you as a true challenge.

There's a girl Saiyan - Cauliflower, I think? She wants to surpass me, so she definitely sees me as a challenge. But Toppo keeps callin' me evil.

[Goku shrugs, not sure why. Sure, he's the one who brought up the tournament originally, but that's just because he wanted a fun competition.]

I don't get it, but if it means he'll go all-out, I don't mind!

[The first part made sense, at least. If the girl was a Saiyan, then of course she would aim to defeat the strongest person she could find. But to think of Goku as evil?]

[Even Mai never thought of him that way. ~~Then again, the Pilaf gang were more likely to have been the 'evil' ones in those days.~~]

That's one way of looking to the bright side of things, Goku.

Though, just a word of advice...it might not be the best idea to 'go all out' here. I don't think the city would be able to handle you at full strength.

Yeah, I know that! Too bad it's not like back home, where I could go to an abandoned island or something - it doesn't seem like we can go far enough from the cities.

Still, Cell's been quiet, and I dunno if there's anything else to worry about, so everything should be fine!
