[Video] A stealthy return
[The video feed clicks on to reveal a cloaked and hooded figure speaking, doing their best to keep their face hidden. From the sound of the voice it's probably female, but it's a bit gruff and growling so it's hard to tell.]
It has been some time since I've worn this form, or last been to this place. I made some enemies and some... acquaintances the last time I was here, but I do not wish to jump to any conclusions. I know people come and go rather readily here, but since the introduction with Miss Schnee and the comm device seem to be the same, I would like to ask if Professor Ozpin is still here.
[He at least, seemed like he would make a trustworthy ally.]
I would also ask if the species name Laguz means anything to any of you. In the meantime I might be looking for work as a bodyguard, hunter, or tracker, if anyone needs such things.

I never asked this during my brief travels with them, but how did the Greil Mercenaries meet with the Laguz? I never imagined the laguz support would come easy with them, given the tension between laguz and beorc at the time.

King Ramon's brother Duke Renning, was next in line for the throne because King Ramon did not wish for a blood feud when his daughter was born. Thus Elincia was kept a secret from the public... but not the other royal families in case she ever needed to ascend the throne. Because Ashnard knew of Elincia's existence, the Crimean knights desperately tried to get Elincia to sanctuary in Gallia while Duke Renning rallied the last of their forces to halt their advance.
Sadly, Elincia's knights were intercepted en route to Gallia and were it not for the timely rescue of the Griel mercenaries, Daein likely would have extinguished Crimea's royal blood line. The Greil Mercenaries safely brought the princess to Gallia where she met with the king and informed of the fact that if Gallia were to declare war on Daein it would simply look like a Laguz nation going after a Beorc nation, and Begnion would have no choice but to side with Daein. Since Daein did not follow proper procedure in declaring this war she was advised to make her way to Begnion to seek aid from the Apostle.
Gallia therefore hired the Greil mercenaries to continue to look after princess Elincia, while also sending along what aid they could without letting their nation be dragged into war. As I understand when commander Griel was alive and much younger, he lived for a time in Gallia and was friends with the king.

I see. The more I look into things, the more I see that there was no way to end the Mad King's reign without Begnion's ruthless occupation occuring afterward...
...but really, that's in the past for me. Might be interesting to pass notes to Soren...
Ah, nevermind my chatter. What are you looking to do next?

Unfortunately, I'm inclined to agree. The only way I could have seen things going differently would be if General Zelgius were appointed the position of overseeing the occupation of Daein.
[His shady dual persona aside, he was at least honorable in most of his dealings.]
I suspect the senate would likely have blocked such actions anyways, and there were dozens of secret agendas and back handed dealings involved in Begnions corruption... such is the problem with the largest of nations, but I digress.
I will likely head to the Rose estate soon to discuss a job opportunity I was offered.
[Well, mostly she's going there to pounce an Ice fairy and explain to her friends why she's in hiding, but that's not the kind of thing you tell people on a public channel.]

[ Micaiah looks sideways, as if a bit embarrassed. ]
I'm currently living in the Rose Estate.

[That was a fairly neutral answer, but then she still wasn't entirely sure how to feel about Micaiah. The girl had been the source of a great deal of strife for her, but at the same time she wasn't entirely at fault. She seemed to care about Laguz much more than most Daeins, but she wasn't sure how she felt about Gallia as a nation.]
I will be there soon if you wish to meet and speak with me in person. Perhaps we can discuss more private matters.

I'll meet you later, Miss Scholar.
[ Micaiah resisted the urge to keep teasing her about that. She'll have plenty of time to do that in person. ]
