ACTION
Is this a fucking joke?! [ Sounds like someone just woke up and they’re not happy to be here. Not far from the Hologram of Weiss (which, by the way, it’s a good thing it can’t be punched because it would have been by now ), a white-haired elven woman shouts seemingly at no one in particular. Her cheeks are red with anger, but her expression is less angry and more panicked.
That probably has to do with the other elf, a man, half crumpled on the ground beside her. She’s got a hold of his hand, but holding him up seems to be a chore given their drastic difference in height. ]
Come on, we can’t just stay here. [ She tugs on his hand, struggles to really accomplish anything and sighs, frustrated. ]
Sunny...I don’t….I don’t feel so good. [He sounds breathless as his body leans over, forehead in the dirt.]
Crow! [ She half stumbles, just barely catching herself on whatever happens to be nearby with her free hand. To be honest, she doesn’t look so great herself - what with the blood caked on her neck and chest and the paleness of her skin. By comparison of Crow, however, she looks amazing.
After a few seconds she reaches out to whomever happens to be passing by. ]
Hey! Don’t just stand there, we need a fucking doctor!
VIDEO
[ Assuming Sun Spear’s charm didn’t get her the help needed, she eventually has to resort to plan B. Plan B being to actually listen to the hologram and learn the basics of this stupid phone they’ve been given.
Somehow, through nothing short of a miracle, she manages to get a video going. The camera is awkwardly angled at first as she tries to keep Crow from vomiting all over her while he has his head in her lap.
A low, pained groan is heard as she pans up to her face. It’s not coming from her. ]
If anyone can hear this: my friend is in dire need of medical attention. [ Again, please ignore any problems she’s having currently. She opens her mouth to say something else, but is immediately interrupted by the other elf. Her ‘friend’. ]
“My Friend”? [The man paused in his groans to give her a crooked smile.] Is that what….we’re going with?
[ She stops, looks down. Then back up, deadpan: ] Nevermind, let him die.
( ooc: expect replies mostly from sun spear, but crow (
sireneyes ) will def hop in too. )

Where are we?
no subject
[ There's a long pause. Like really long, before she asks, quietly. ] You're not going to die, are you?
no subject
It's not on my 'to do list'. [Another cough followed by a dry heave...He really wishes this was over with.] That thing you were talking too...it's not still on right?
no subject
A glance down at the phone seems to indicate that it's not on anymore, but Sun Spear is far from an expert in such matters. ]
Wouldn't we want it to be on, in case someone contacts us?
no subject
[Is he joking? Maybe. He gives her a weak smile.]
Not a grand first impression.
no subject
[ She rolls her eyes, reaching down after another long pause to gently brush some of his hair back behind his ear. ]
From what I gathered, it doesn't matter anyway. It's not like we have the company name to keep here.
no subject
[Another weak smile and a weaker laugh before he falls silent. His eyes close as he feels her fingers against his hair. He reaches for her hand. He tries to give it a squeeze, but honestly he is lucky he can even hold it right now.]
Are you alright?

I'm on my way! Can you tell me what's wrong with him?
[Orihime can heal a lot, but there are some things she's not sure her powers can help. Like motion sickness.]
no subject
[ Or, he unknowingly poisoned himself. but details. ]
Horkweed, a substance deadly to everyone but dwarves. It's been making him weak for days.
no subject
[She's never undone poison before, but she can't imagine it would be outside the realm of possibility.]
I'm on foot, so I'll be there in about...ten minutes. Fewer if I don't get hit by a car on the way!
[She's joking, right? She's probably joking.]
no subject
[ Hi we're from fantasy verse what the hell is happening. ]
no subject
[They must be new, she reasons.]
--Oh, there's one!
[The viewpoint swings away from Orihime, jarred by her running steps, but pointed at a hatchback that rolls down the street.]
I'm Orihime, by the way. You did a good job figuring out the communicator!
no subject
Sun Spear. And thanks, I guess. I still don't really understand it, but I either learned fast or Crow died on the street without any help.

This gonna be a disaster
First, they're deposited into one of those triage type rooms, and left to their own devices for what might seem like ages. It's got to do with hospitals somehow that makes waiting feel like it takes 5 times longer. Eventually however, Solas walks in through the door and stops, brows raising.
They look like absolute shit.]
Well, I believe I can pass the pleasantries, so what can the two of you tell me about your injuries?
It's gonna be great
[Crow tenses up as soon as he comes in. He totally hadn't been looking through the supplies or anything. He visible relaxes when he sees Solas. His first thought is: another sylvan? Here? He certainly looks the part.]
I'm fine.
[He feels like a whole new man thanks to Orihime. He turns his attention to Sun Spear.]
We were attacked by vampires. She's lost a lot of blood.
how to make friends ft sun spear and crow
That would be cool, and elves suck, so probably not.
When Solas comes in she looks up, eyes half-lidded. She's paler than usual, and now that the adrenaline of trying to get Crow help has vanished, she just looks tired. Being angry all the time is exhausting, too. ]
You're not a mender, are you?
no subject
Vampires? [it's a skeptical question but at least he's been in Genessia long enough to know those exist.] It's a particularly nasty wound—
I'm not a mender. I am, however a mage. I trust that won't be a problem? [or is it? It is. God.]
no subject
[Or else he would have tried again. Actually, he isn't sure he would have even if asked. He messed up, he knows that.]
Are you a physician by chance?
[Please. Please.]
no subject
[ To put it lightly. Sun Spears in a pissy mood but she probably shouldn't be completely annoying the person trying to help her. So she only sounds 30% annoyed right now. She also obliges in letting him see her wound by moving her hand. There's dried blood caked over her neck and chest, and two prominent bite marks along the pulse point. ]
If there's no other choice, then just do it.

Crow says something like "I'm in room xxx and Sun Spear doesn't even look to see where her key goes; opting instead to blindly follow him into his living space and promptly fall onto the bed. The Impaler is dropped to the floor, and for a moment she just stares stupidly at it, as all of the events of the day come rushing in all at once. All the emotions she so carefully hid behind a mask of anger an annoyance.
And they hit hard. Like a wave that makes her nauseous. Phoenix Company is still back home — that hologram said something about things being the same, or something, but she hadn't really processed it until now. — while her and Crow are here, fresh from a fight with vampires and that wasn't even a thing she had been able to process either before all of this. Then there was the fay creatures that Orihime woman had used on Crow, the healing that Solas had done in the hospital, the fucking cars and street lights and Sun Spear is hyperventilating now as she tries to steady herself and fails miserably in doing so. ]

Hey.
[His voice is quiet as he moves to her. His hand out to gently touch her shoulder before he crawls on the bed next to her. His arms hug her behind and he pulls her closer to his chest.]
It's okay. [he doesn't know that for sure, but it could be worse. He whispers in her ear as his face buries itself into her neck. He can still smell the blood caked on her skin and clothes.]
We're gonna be okay.
no subject
At first, she doesn't know what to do. She just stiffens a little, her breath still too fast; catching in her throat. But somehow — and maybe it's the siren in him, or simply the feelings shared between them that have lingered for so long — the whispering in her ear connects more than the touch, and though she's still breathing hard and definitely not where she wants to be... it's something.
She turns her head toward him, nose against his temple. Her hand moves to rest over one of his. ]
How do you know?
no subject
[Not....exactly the pep talk she probably wanted to hear.]
But it's us, Sunny.
[He murmurs lowly as he pressed his lips to her skin. After everything they have been through; the vampires, the dominion, the fucking north. He knows that they can get through this. Besides it's not like they don't already have money, they have their weapons, hell this place even gave them a free place to live. This is easy mode.]
This isn't the hardest thing we've done. [It could be so much worse...Blood Song could be here.]
no subject
Sun Spear wonders briefly if it's the simplicity that's getting to her. Her life, since she was so so young, has been nothing but strife and hardship and action. She never stops, never relaxes, never just... lives. It's weird and almost unsettling. Eventually, she turns to face him, kicking her boots off as she does so so she can curl herself up onto the bed and into Crow's lap. ]
I'm not good at this.
