[Oh look, Mami’s usual serene smile is gone.]
I’m thinking I should start going to school here. I just….Working at the Bunny Poof Cafe is fine for now, but...I don’t think I want to be a waitress forever? But a lot of other jobs require some sort of qualifications.
The only problem is I don’t know what I do want to do. While I do have time to think about it, I’d rather have more of a plan to act on…
So my question to you all I guess is, what brought you to doing what you do? Or otherwise, do you have any suggestions for me moving forward?

[He was also going back to school, or at least planning to when schools start up again, at least the ones that were originally in Genessia.]
But for me, if I had to pick something... I would be brought by doing something connected to what I am passionate about.
Re: video;
[What was she passionate about? Helping people of course, but what else? She already realized she can't make a career out of being a magical girl...]

We all have that one thing we are passionate about. It's just figuring out what can work with it and also to actually have the skills to do it.
[Video]
Suggestions, eh? Well, mind the difference between vocation and avocation.
Re: [Video]
Your profession looked fun? What is it you do, if you don't mind me asking?
Re: [Video]
[A euphemism for bounty hunting; not the prettiest profession, and one he'd rather not put in anyone's head to attempt.]
Re: [Video]
[Because while she's powerful and can go awhile before her gem taints too much, she needs to be careful until she can find an alternative for grief seeds.
Re: [Video]
Ah. Well, there's other things like the...MBTI test, I suppose. Have you heard of it?
Re: [Video]
Re: [Video]
[And hopefully take the idea of bounty hunting out for a bonus.]
Re: [Video]
[Miss Defender-of-Justice won't let go of the idea of bounty hunting just because she gets another job.]

{There's not much work to do, but it passes the time. Besides, he enjoys the peace and quiet. That, and he's just... not guild material, least of all Fairy Tail, and they've always wanted a chance to work together on something. A bookstore is a perfect, if somewhat ironic, choice. }
I apologize if that isn't helpful. Which type of school were you thinking about? { He does have one recommendation... if she can use magic. }
Re: [ video ]
I've been looking at schools, but I haven't decided on anything yet. You wouldn't happen to have any recommendations would you?
[ video ]
In my world, less than ten percent of the human population can use magic. In other worlds, anyone with the desire and perseverance can learn, and in others, it doesn't exist at all. But if your world isn't one of them, and you're capable, there may still be time to enroll.
Re: [ video ]
[On one hand, she needed to be careful about using her magic until she figured out a solution to her problem...On the other hand, this could be an opportunity to find a way to do just that. Realizing she had been silent for a bit, she let out a soft 'oh', and continued.]
I'll definitely add it to the list of places to consider. Learning more about magic could be helpful. Thank you.

{ Offering advice with no obvious gain to himself... Mavis really has been a good influence on him over these past two years in this world. }
Unfortunately, I don't know anything about tuition or whether or not they would require you to live in Fayren. I'm not a student there.

{ She doesn't seem the type to go to a magical school hoping it just... appears in her. }
Are you capable of using it, yourself? Forgive my asking, but learning about magic from other worlds has become something of a hobby of mine since I've been in this world. { Just out of curiosity. Definitely not for any sort of ulterior motive, even one that would probably be to everyone else's benefit and not just his own. }
Re: [ video ]
Considering my magic isn't so much spell or potion based, I'll need to look into it further before I commit to going to Silverleaf. Instead, people with magic in my world have 'common' weaker abilities, and then one main magical skill.
Even if I wouldn't be able to study at a magic school like that, I do believe I may learn something important by looking into it and possibly speaking to an instructor.

Re: video.
What kind of things did you try?
Re: video.
Think that's it, for now. I also work at a flower shop, so I'm learning more about plants and their meanings, and how to take care of them.

[He did go to school in the last world he wound up in... he dropped after a time and just decided to be a workaholic instead.]
I just went with what skills I learned from travelling. Having different experiences is a benefit that way.

[Because it means more money and it's all he likes to do really.]
Though the system here is somewhat confusing, but I guess I can understand why jobs that require skills get more pay.

Re: video
But more than that I'd rather not go through school and find out I'm ill prepared for the future.

Besides, I have to set a good example for my kohai.
Do you watch a lot of TV then?
no subject
... Not that I would know. [Last time Ai said he had kouhai, he got assigned Kaoru as his new mentee.
NEVER AGAIN.]

If I don't put pressure on them, they may just continue as if it's a permanent vacation.
Well~ If you don't know what it's like to have kohai, then perhaps you shouldn't judge. [She said in a teasing tone.]

He moves on briskly.]
It is a valid concern. I have heard that school is valuable not just for academic purposes, but for the exploration of one's emotional state and boundaries. As well as providing a safe environment for the complicated process of "puberty."
[My name is Ai and I don't ever sound like an AI.]

[MAMI, WHY. WHY WOULD YOU VOLUNTEER FOR SCHOOL--- actually, Madoka's mom would probably want for her to at least finish jr high...]

[No, it was going to be summer vacation forever.
Madoka, the world's worst liar, is pretty transparent about how she hadn't thought about it much.]
I was thinking of staying... Since my wish was granted, I'm sure I've already taken care of everything back home.

We should look at schools together then, Kaname-san. While we wouldn't be in the same class, we could still be in the same school perhaps, and maybe even have lunch together!
[She probably sounds hopeful about that, even though they literally live together.]
If Miki-san stays then we can be have a magical girl trio once we figure out how to cleanse our gems!
video
... That said. Maybe you should ask yourself what subjects you liked most in school? Were you thinking of going a math and science route, or arts and literature?
Re: video
I...
I'm not sure. It would probably be easier to help people with science...But I do like the arts. And magic would be more helpful personally to learn...[With the whole lack of soul thing going on.] But they all have their downsides as well.

What did you like about the arts?

I can do just about anything with a smile on my face. [Have you seen her fight witches, Uai?]
Well, I like cooking and baking. And then music is beautiful, especially when paired with dance. Some of the choreography I've seen is amazing. [And she keeps it in mind for when she tries to choreograph a move of some kind.] It can be mesmerizing, can't it?
[video]
[pauses]
Actually. That makes sense. [she laughs but nods] I'd say look for another job! I heard there's a job in bounty hunting..I might pick that up sometime. That'll be the best!
