Dust devils, bug devils, all the devils!
Betelgeuse was bored and he really didn't feel like working. Ironically, he decided to perch himself on top of the employment building, while dreaming up some fun to inflict on, well, everyone else. He was in the mood for some chaos. A small breeze blew a scrap of paper down the street past Betelgeuse and he began to grin.
Holding out his hands, Betelgeuse let a wave of his juice roll out into the sky, stirring up the atmosphere. The wind picked up, forming miniature dust devils. Some of the dust devils picked up enough debris to be visible, but some didn't. The devils were about one to two feet across and anywhere from two to six feet in height. Grinning in delight, Betelgeuse sent out a second wave of magic, filling most of the dust devils with various nuisances, such as beetles, spells, water, and/or dirt. Some of the devils were strong enough to knock a person over, if they got hit, but none were strong enough to damage buildings or cause serious injury.
Betelgeuse was determined to have a good laugh. So, the dust devils bounced around, some on the ground, some in the air, bouncing into people. Those unfortunate enough to get bounced by a visible dust devil would find themselves covered in the debris or otherwise annoyed by whatever the devil was carrying.
ooc: Feel free to make up something obnoxious for the dust devils to do to your character! Anything that doesn't cause serious injury/damage is fine. :D Or, just come by to cheer Betelgeuse on/tell him off!>

Her third eye swayed from side to side, Koishi reaching forward to catch it, cradling it to her chest. "I read the subconscious mind. Not the conscious mind. All I see are colors. Swirling oranges and yellows making hooks and cracking like whips. It's very fast and doesn't mesh well with the pulsing greens and purples you have." What was she talking about? "My sister can read the conscious mind though. She could see how important it was and why. But I don't know if she can help unbind you. Her magic isn't that strong either. I'm sure someone can though. We can explore Fayren together, okay? I bet someone can help you out."

He didn't want to think of his name for a bit. He just hoped no one who figured out his name said it three times. Betelgeuse wasn't frightened by much, but being trapped in a strange afterlife, at the mercy of anyone who knew his name? Well, he was definitely concerned.

"This is [Symbol 'All Ancestors Standing Beside Your Bed'] and its a lot of fun. It's got a very set pattern. You can hold onto the card while I do it, okay? Now watch!"
She flew up into the air, a bit higher this time, holding her hands out, the strange nothingness that manifested with her powers again growing intense. She conducted the lasers like an orchestra, occasionally twirling as she projected the zig zagging lines of smaller red shots... Though the pattern was indeed very fixed, dodging something like that would not be easy. It would take some strategy and care to avoid.
It continued for another thirty seconds or so, Koishi clapping her hands and the magic dissipating into the air, the little youkai lowering herself back down onto the building.

She nodded sagely. "And there are plenty of non-magical danmaku fighters. You can use anything to make your shots, so long as its non lethal if you get hit by them. The devil maid uses knives and the lady with the puffball uses a katana. The shrine maidens use paper seals... There are so many things you can use. Don't be afraid to be creative. That's what danmaku is all about!"

"Well, you can do any or all of that with your share, kid. Me, I'm gonna spend some and save some and..." he stopped, shrugging. Honestly, he had no idea what idea what he would do with his money. To him, it was a marker, a sign of success. Hell, maybe he would give some away!
"Uh, what shrine lady? Is she someone here?"

A pause, Koishi's third eye growing still as she concentrated. "Oh... I don't... Hmm..." A frown. "I guess the nice shrine maiden isn't here after all..." She shook her head. "Aww... She was so fun..."

The last part was added in a bit hastily. Even if someone was silly enough to care, someone other than him, of course, that did mean you had to flaunt it. Right?

"I'm not always there though. I'm usually wandering around and sometimes I'm at Miss White's house. Sis might like you, I think. I dunno. She can still read minds though, okay? She's really easy to spot. She's as tall as me and her third eye is red and open and she's always frowning. But if you're polite she wont get mad at all or anything."

He wasn't sure about Miss White, but the kid's sister seemed like someone he should meet.
"What's your sister's name?"
no subject
"My Sister's name is Satori. Like our species. But our species is spelled with kanji and her name is spelled out, so its okay."
no subject
"Um, okay, cool. I'll keep an eye for her, then."
no subject
Koishi couldn't hold back a laugh. "Keep an eye out! That's funny." She reached up and touched her third eye for emphasis. "She doesn't go out much so she's not so easy to find. But you're welcomed to come over whenever you want. We can have tea. Okay Mister?"
"Sis knows how to danmaku really well too so if I'm not around you can ask her if you want to practice and learn more."
She paused for a moment, taking out her communication device and fiddling with it until she managed to get the clock to come up. "Ah! I better go mister. Sis wanted to cook a meal and I'm going to be late. It was nice talking to you though. You're really nice."
no subject
"Good, good, never hurts to get another perspective and some practice."
"Well, I guess if you gotta, you gotta. Wouldn't want you to miss a meal. It's been good meeting ya. Thanks, not a lot of people notice that."
no subject
"You're welcome Mister!" She turned a bit, waving to him. "Come visit sometime. I'll show you my little fish. They're really cute and really friendly. They like to nibble your fingers."
She dropped her arms and spiraled up into the air and flew off quickly toward the Fayren archway, her powers making her vanish after a moment.

Fish? He chuckled, watching her spiral away. Cute kid...a bit strange, but he liked that in a person.
