[The feed opens not onto someone's face, but onto a view of one of the typical Genessia Commonspace rooms - and while this is the sort of thing that might happen by accident, the way the feed gives such a clear view suggests that this is deliberate.

Because, of course, it is. Just as deliberate as the forced calm in the voice that speaks: male register, adult-seeming if on the younger side and cool enough to ice a whole room even in the midst of summer. Someone is not pleased, but is at least not about to throw a tantrum over it.]

Might I ask who it was who decided that such...accommodation, loathe as I am to even call it that, would be a suitable offering to those of higher standing? Is it not enough that we are torn away in the middle of something actually quite important, that we are then to be faced with this insult of a gesture? I understand a need for incentive, to ensure that we do not remain reliant on whomever it was that brought us here, but surely the notion of homelessness after a time would be enough.

Not that I plan to be here any longer than is necessary, of course. But a little hospitality goes a long way towards improving one's mood, and I hardly think this can be truly classed as hospitality.

Would either of you care to explain what, exactly, is going on here? And I don't mean regurgitation of that hologram. What are they not telling us?

And I suppose there is a reasonable explanation for my not having noticed our being down one Hitachiin for almost two months?

[He has to focus on that. Focusing on having to work for other people is...not something he wants to face until he's had a chance to plan how to maximise his gain from it.]

He just isn't here. I guess whatever the cause is picking who comes and who doesn't and decided to just bring me here and not my brother. It seems like the luck of the draw if we will find anyone else we know here beyond who you are aware of right now.

That's not what I was asking, though I do agree it is odd that just one of you is here.

What I'm asking is how you could be here for two months and yet not have been absent at all from my perspective?

Well... I can't say for the vast majority of it. But I know before I arrived here you were in France. So for some of the time, I assume that is the excuse. But for the rest of the time, I cannot actually say. But that brings about the question of does time move while I am here?

Even so, that does not account for the fact that I was not notified of your disappearance. I find it difficult to believe something like that could have been kept from me.

[He's pretty sure Tamaki would have phoned him in a hot panic if he'd realised any of the host club members were missing.]

True. I mean if anything my brother would have said something. We had finished our fight by that point after all.

[So things had gone pretty much back to being okay, but he knew if his brother had notice. He might have said something as well. It just makes it all the more confusing.]

This world is just confusing. I can't think of a logical reason behind why you wouldn't have known.

Well, I suppose there is nothing to be done for it. Not while there are more pressing concerns to contend with.

On that note...you've been here long enough to have outstayed your welcome in this hovel, yes?

Though because I had no clue how to do... anything, I had to get a roommate too.

So you live with someone else? Well, that's not ideal but I'm sure you can make a case for a day or two, until I can determine what might pass as suitable employment around here.

Yeah, Bridget. Real helpful in the learning how to be a commoner thing. At best I can just share a room with him, would not be the first time I shared a room.

Suitable. Maybe a job where you have control. Like an agent. Shouldn't be hard to actually make a list of things you'd be good at, though.

Well, quite. The issue, if there is to be one, would be in narrowing down the options.

Though I do have to wonder why it is your first thought is to share with someone you've known for mere months over someone more familiar.

Well for one, I have to work sometimes early in the morning. So that is one reason. [It was the morning thing.]

The other is simply because I've really been wanting to help the guy with his room decorating wise and it's been bothering me. [And there's the other reason.]

So returning the favour, then? In that case, you're welcome for the excuse.

Where is it you live, exactly, anyway?

In a sense, yes. Got to help people out of fashion disasters even in one's room.

As for where I live I live in Garden Park Apartments which is located on Iris Avenue and 4th Street. It was the nicest place I could find with how much I earned.

Within Genessia City itself still, then. Do you work here as well?

[He's still deliberating over the different areas himself but without any first hand experience, he's open to hearing from those who know more about the connected cities.]

I have one job in Genessia itself. At a clothing shop as a personal shopper.

[Because that was better than a cashier in his mind even if they pay the same. At least you can judge people on their clothing choices and make better suggestions.]

My other job it depends on where I am needed at the time. So it could be Genessia one day and the Nova City the next.

Personal shopper...yes, I suppose that would be a fitting position for you for the time being. But you mentioned another job?

[This better be good, Kaoru, because he's pretty sure multiple jobs are for the common folk.]

I did. It works with what I knew so I figured why not. Much like my second job also works with what I know.

[Speaking of his job he turned his head slightly. He was checking if someone had just called his name or not. Might be a moment before he turns his head to look back.]

I work for a talent agency as a model mostly, but the agency decided to get me trained in another area as an idol. I don't know why they decided that one though.

I would imagine it makes you rather more marketable if you are able to offer talent beyond mere good looks.

[Especially since Kaoru can't really sell the twincest angle without Hikaru here, but Kyoya keeps that observation to himself, at least.

Still. As someone who has spent more time than might be expected marketing Kaoru - and the other Hosts - and gaining profit from it, Kyoya can't help but get caught up in that particular point.]

What do you make of the agency so far?

I guess so.

[Kaoru had taken the time to actually sit down and lean back against the wall, for the time being, all the time he was thinking of the answer to the question. What did he think of it really?]

It has its good point. They are helpful if you need help with something or need to understand something. But it also has it's bad points like say sometimes not giving me enough notice for some work.

So somewhere that could stand to see some degree of improvement, then.

[Hey, he has to start somewhere and he figures this might as well do until he can set something up for himself.

Besides. As the Shadow King of the Host Club he's pretty adept already at dealing with egos of varying sizes and deservedness.]

Exactly. But you could say the same for a good few places. But that's why people try and improve things.

[Like he was trying to improve and see what he was capable off without his brother around.]

Well now, that won't do. You'll never get your moment of glory if you don't keep track of when they want you.

[It's only mild chastisement and not entirely meant; he knows Kaoru is more responsible than some but it still reminds him of exactly why most of the mundane aspects of managing the club fell to him.]

Actually, I'd much rather come to you. I'm not certain these places were designed with the intention that we might host visitors here.
