After hearing a bit about Torchwood from the kelpie and having been there - Newt liked the idea of the restaurant giving creatures like a kelpie an alternate choice to eating others like Newt. Taking Albus and Tina with him, and the briefcase and Bowtruckle sticking out of his shirt coat pocket.

"Excuse me. Who's in charge here?"

Doc, Ten, and open

Doctor Brown was something of a social coordinator around the offices. He worked on his own projects and the projects of others, of course, but kept a close eye on what the others were up to. This led to some strangeness sometimes, but he was quickly growing used to it.

There were some noises coming from his supervisor's office, but that was nothing unusual. The extended silence was unusual, though, so he knocked---smiling apologetically at the poor visitor who'd just been caught up in all this.

"Hello! I'm Doctor Emmett Brown. I'm something of a social coordinator around Torchwood, and I'll see to it that you meet everyone. I'm trying to get the Doctor for you---Doctor?" he called, slightly louder.

Meanwhile; Ten is in the process of carefully pouring a chemical into another chemical - in other words; exactly one drop and stops when he hears being pinged; thankfully his very skilled hands are able to stop the chemical from dropping and remarks with a rude tone;

"Whut?"

Likewise, Uai looked quite apologetic: He had come to investigate Torchwood, with no intention of being a nuisance. He knew very well that his cocky and confident front contrasted what a shy person he really was. A social coordinator seemed almost like Uai was being called out for his true personality, but he bit his lip.

“If it’s a bad time, I can just come back later?” He offered quietly, then silencing himself when he heard Ten’s voice. This was the person he had met back when Sakuya ripped up timespace... Well. At least this “Doctor” would already know why Rose had invited Uai here.

To Doctor Brown; "Blimey! Hallo!" Someone just did a switch flip: "Do you want to come up? Doc could you show Uai up to my office?"

"Of course, of course!" Doc added, shaking his head. He'd forgotten himself in all the excitement. "Right this way."

He very diligently shut the communication device off before beginning their ascent, murmuring some further advice to Uai. "He can be a little overbearing, but don't worry---you're completely safe here. There are enough of us to keep each other in line, and he's quite friendly."

He wouldn't pry about any further business unless invited, of course.

"I'm not worried about danger." Uai lied. He was quite worried about saying too much about himself and ending up on a bounty board somewhere. Equally so, he didn't want for Rose's friend circle to exile him before he learned from them.

He followed along regardless, glancing briefly at Doc before focusing ahead. "Ms Rose said I fit in because of my timespace expertise. Is it the same for you?"

"Yes," he admitted easily. It was strange to be in an organization where these things were normal, but not unwelcome.

"My methods worked, and I'm proud of them, but they're less sophisticated on the whole. What have you been told about their work with timespace?"

"I'm the one that is the reason Rose knows about time travel."

Oh Doctor Brown, too hard on yourself; "And yet - you're the only human I know of that has successfully accomplished time travel.

"Not much about their work specifically. But I'm okay with a magician keeping their secrets." At least for now. Uai didn't want to overstep his boundaries, especially since timespace was a privileged topic in general.

Hearing the remark about Doctor Brown earned a more curious look from Uai. "Hm? You're human?"

"Yes. It's...strange, I admit, that we don't look so different, yet your natural capabilities are far stronger."

He gave them a lopsided grin. "But I'm sure other humans could achieve the same result with the right nudge. The path to achieve time travel fell into place in my mind after I'd given myself a concussion from a bathroom fixture. I would not recommend that, by the way."

Ten just didn't like talking about his people, The Time Lords. However, if both of them press Ten to talk they may get something. "Ohhh.. Emmett. Emmett. Don't downplay your cleverness. I'd call you a genius except I'm in the room but the point still stands. Yes, humans are capable of the most remarkable things, for instance, candy floss, however, there are still those such as yourself Doctor Brown that sets you apart from the rest."

"Yes, it's as he says. There's no reason to downplay human cleverness." Uai agreed, amused by what Ten found most clever. Candy floss was one of those things that only human minds could come up with, though. "It's fascinating to think we've all found different ways to cross time and space. If there are three separate ways, I'm sure there are many, many more waiting to be discovered."

Which was his strongest reason for visiting Torchwood. Everyone seemed to have reached the conclusion that they couldn't escape Genessia with their original abilities, but that didn't mean there wasn't a new method to learn.

"If you don't mind my asking, Emmett, how did you manage it yourself?"
