After hearing a bit about Torchwood from the kelpie and having been there - Newt liked the idea of the restaurant giving creatures like a kelpie an alternate choice to eating others like Newt. Taking Albus and Tina with him, and the briefcase and Bowtruckle sticking out of his shirt coat pocket.

"Excuse me. Who's in charge here?"

[Newt turns and looks for a moment at the person who answered him but doesn't say anything about the fresh traces of blood. Though Pickett looks a bit concerned and goes further into Newt's pocket to only peek out]

Thank you... And what is you do here, exactly?

[Considering Nikola had only put a small amount of blood in his coffee, he would be surprised if the human picked up on it. However, he does give the thing in his pocket another glance, more out of curiosity than anything else.]

I'm the resident wine master.

[He smiled pleasantly before holding out his hand.]

Nikola Giovanni, at your service. My talents have been employed to create palatable wines for all the various diets represented within our current world. It's rather interesting research.

It's a pleasure to meet you Newt Scamander.

[He found the name strange, but, interesting. Nikola's own grip was firm, almost carefully so. He was attempting to play human after all.]

Please, call me Nikola. Mr. Giovanni was my father and I have yet to take his place as head of my family.

As for my work, I enjoy it. I was in charge of my own vineyard and winery under my father's business back home. So this is merely my attempt at continuing the work I hold so dear.

I'm glad that Torchwood has given you the opportunity to do so. But do you think different creatures will enjoy wine?

I'm sure there are out there that will. Wine is something that I have found tends to bring people together for conversation and promote civility when consumed responsibly.

At least, that has been the observations within my own world. I do hope that observation is universal on some level here.
