After hearing a bit about Torchwood from the kelpie and having been there - Newt liked the idea of the restaurant giving creatures like a kelpie an alternate choice to eating others like Newt. Taking Albus and Tina with him, and the briefcase and Bowtruckle sticking out of his shirt coat pocket.

"Excuse me. Who's in charge here?"

Rose wasn't ogling or drooling per se...

But she was definitely watching with a gleam to her eye that said she was far more focused on the muscles and sword than any sort of... form. Or skill.

She chewed her bottom lip, fidgeted, bit a knuckle and looked around for someone.

"Does Bad Dog know?"

Rose wasn't subtle, and from his work helping her learn to meditate, Trunks knew her ki signature well. Nor is she interrupting his focus right away, as he's focusing as if there is an enemy in front of him. Invisible strikes and parries, guards and slashing, but it's not pure-swordplay entirely. There are kicks, or palm strikes, and other bits of hand-to-hand mixed in.

Going over old battles and training in his mind, and when Rose speaks, he finishes a strike and holds it, before standing up again. Sword in a guard position, point down towards the floor and Trunks turning to her with a small smile. "I know he's seen me with it, but I don't think he's seen me practice. We haven't crossed paths that much yet, Rose."

"I volunteer him to fight you!!!" That should probably come from him, but Rose's enthusiasm will not be deterred.

She does pause though. "No wait. Not fight. That other word where neither of you actually get bloody or die please." At least she thought this through... Except not really.

Ten; meanwhile is sniffing out but not literally, Rose and hears them before rudely just walking in.

And doesn't protest the fighting because he doesn't know the context - and when he does simply remark; "Unguard!" Then winks at Rose; "Don't worry, I won't lose a hand."

As someone looks around the room for a sword for himself.
