There is a house. One enters it blind and comes out seeing. What is it?
[This riddle is so damn historical. Whoever gives the right answer will interest him greatly. A fellow lover of history, literature and philosophy! Or you've just heard this one before.]
[Action: Everglade]
[Everglade is where he lingers, the tip of his wand lit. He is in the process of searching, pausing now and then to cut leaves from surrounding foliage. Should anyone come upon him, they will find themselves briefly frozen by a spell.
Did he even move his wand? The real question should be: does he need to? No, Gellert is too fine of a Wizard to rely on such a rudimentary implement - though you will have to pry the Elder wand from his cold, dead fist.Unless you are Albus Dumbledore.]
You should wear a bell.

[action]
The first statement someone is going to act(and very well one might add) - surprised. At least not repulsed.]
Really?! You and him? Nooooo. Really?
[Ten will step into the office fully but otherwise stand his ground. He can answer the question but - scratches the back of his neck instead]
Why not ask him yourself?
[At least now; Ten has something of a timeline point for you]
[action]
We started communicating before he graduated from Hogwarts.
[Gellert's lips twist bitterly.]
He and I cannot speak as we once did. I find that...sad.
[action]
Yes. That is.
[But really Gellert - the obvious thing is that you should be telling Albus this - but there's also the forgiveness that needs to be done on Albus's end]
Albus is rather keen on helping his fellow wizards. Whether that means - help discover the twelve uses of Dragon's blood or being Professor at Hogwarts.
[However, it's the anti-Muggle prejudice is what Albus lost and saw that Albus was wrong about but it's not in Ten's place to talk about what happened to Albus's sister and father because of Muggles]
[action]
That sounds like him. [The affection is hard to hide and he lifts his chin, swallowing it. The years will make this easier for him, but he is young still and missing his first real friend.]
He is a fool for wasting his time with kids. Geniuses like him should be running things; not playing along with the rules of others.
[action]
Professor at Hogwarts or head of the Ministry of Magic - either way. You will never make everyone like you. You can only help those who will take it.
[action]
[Schools are useless to him.]
If the outcome is positive, I don't care if everyone likes me.
Re: [action]
Yes, thar are ways to do that but is that, right?
[He sounds a bit disappointed]
Why does the natural order need to be restored, Gellert?
[action]
So Wizards and Witches can stop living in the dark; so that we can stop hiding.
Re: [action]
Power isn't the only influence thar is.
[He knows what Gellert is going to say - but wants Gellert to say it. Otherwise; questions that The Doctor does not want to answer and calmly remarks]
Where - you are right that it's not right for Wizards and Witches to live in the dark. You need to also understand that Muggles are fickle with things they don't understand.
[A short pause]
Magic scares them, Gellert. They don't understand it and they can't see that wizards and witches are also people who just have this extraordinary abilities.
I'm not saying it's right that Muggles can't understand magic. And they can't understand it because they want to logic the world and control it.
I'm sorry to say - even if it's been centuries - humans - Muggles- haven't gotten too far pass the mindset of Salem Witch Trials.
But - they are capable of learning. And that's what is wonderful about them.
[A short pause]
What about you, Gellert are you capable of learning?
[action]
[He shrugs and crosses his arms behind his back, posture impeccable.]
Fear isn't a bad thing. Fear can be their first teacher until they understand the Magical World better.
[Salem. Gellert smiles sharply, angrily.]
What's wonderful about them, Doctor? Teach me.
Re: [action]
Alright. Go ahead. Go ahead and blast your way into thar world. Go ahead and show them that the high society of Wizards are everything that Muggles write thar fairy tales about them.
To be feared
[A pause and Ten's vocal tone isn't as rough but more gentle and there's something of a twinkle in his brown eyes when he speaks of the Muggles]
Thar always changing. Always evolving. Always learning. Always creating.
[action]
He is unimpressed, Doctor.]
They will see Magic; they will know it is real. Then I will enforce laws to protect both sides, but never again will they be split in two.
Eventually, the wonder will fade. It will become natural - as it should be.
[His nose wrinkles.]
Into what? More ignorance?
[action]
[There's a hint in Ten's voice that he doesn't like the mindwiping either. It's against The Doctor's own personal morals]
Muggles need to see magic do good things. Using Wingardium LeviO-sa to save them. Reverse a collapsing building. Muggles need to see magic do good because of what they've read for centuries and passed down is that magic is evil and can't do good.
We both know the problem is the Ministry of Magic not wanting to understand that thar can be peace if they give the chance to show that magic can be good and used for good.
Believe me when I say this Gellert - humans can and will believe in oddities and accept them and merge with them. They are capable of it in the end.
[Even if Ten is more talking about how humans eventually accept the existence of aliens and end up mingling a lot of them and what a person is a very huge grey area. Gellert may also notice how Ten talks about humans being accepting like this (and something in those eyes) that someone seems to maybe - just maybe - The Doctor's magic is - time.]
[action]
If that's to happen, the gates need to be opened. With the connection comes good and bad. The Muggles will see that the bad is punished and the good rewarded.
[Is the Doctor speaking from experience? Gellert is curious, gaze assessing the other man's features.]
What do you know?
[action]
Nothing. I just have faith in them.
[Even if humans do have their moments where The Doctor wonders about them but they learn and in the end - that's what matters]
[action]
A faith placed with no logical reason.
[He can't accept faith in general because it doesn't need logical roots.]
Isn't that how it always is?
Re: [action]
[A pause]
Do you need a light, Gellert?
[action]
[action]
You know where to find me.
[action]
Re: [action]
I know.
In this universe. No. Lucky I have my wand.
[The room is fairly interesting but no books]
[action]
[action]
Tell you what - why don't I double check my apartment and I'll get back to you tomorrow morning.
[He's just a touch tired right now]
[action]
...I will be waiting for your call. [And if he doesn't receive it, guess who is going to go Doctor hunting?]
[action] Slightly TMI
Ten gives Gellert a head nod and goes to lock up his chemistry table and only when he can't see Gellert in the room. Steps into the Tardis and dematerializes.
Gellert might be around close enough to at least hear that odd sound.
Tomorrow; as Ten gets into his jim jams he needes to seek out Albus. To be honest he's giddy because some alien would love to read a book one doesn't have access too in their universe.
Shame that The Doctor can't foresee his own future even if he doesn't have his time sight here because then he would have foreseen Rose coming to Ten in the morning asking why the sex? And that she's just happy looking at him. Which will divulge into a serious discussion and screw Rose for having put together what makes someone's button go on - psychicness. More specifically on the spine and then saying she wants him psychically.
Which will lead to epic love shagging and Gellert won't hear from The Doctor the next day as promised - nor will anyone else see him or Rose that entire day.
Gellert can try to look for The Doctor on this day The Doctor was suppose to call Gellert; but Gellert will come to realize that someone has a good hidey hole- namely The Tardis.
Ten will venture out the next day; however looking for Albus to get that book made for Gellert and himself.
