I've finished my camping trip of discovery~

[Rapunzel appeared on the feed rather excited. In the background, it was soon obvious that she appeared to be in a tavern of some kind. Lanterns were strung up along the ceiling in a pattern to make them look like they were floating across the sky, the ceiling was painted a dark colour to show a night sky along with dots of stars done with exact star constellations.

If there was one thing Rapunzel was good at it was details. But that was only in the area she was currently in. After a moment, she moved to place some hair behind her ear.]

And I've decided a... couple of things and one you might have noticed right off the bat. I'm opening a business of my own. [A pause.] Sort of. It's more a charity in helping those who are unable to achieve their dreams easily and helping them to achieve it, but in order to do that, I opened this tavern which I have dubbed The Snuggly Duckling because... who doesn't like ducklings?

[She soon stopped playing with her hair before looking over her shoulder.] I will also be getting a haircut soon and giving the hair that is cut to a place where they are going to make wigs out of it. [She looked back, giving off a soft smile. She was sad about it, but at the same time she was wanting to do it.]

I will lose my powers of healing of course, but I need to move past it and help people in other ways instead. Besides... if I don't I can never move on from my... Gothel's shadow and that feeling that if she were to come here it would start all over again.

[As she spoke she seemed a little more confident.]

But never the less I am moving forward, helping in my own way and that reminds me... I've made some really spicy cookies and other food items and I need taste testers for it. I was thinking of the cookies being a challenge of some kind where if you can eat like three of them you win a prize or something. I don't know, but never the less they are super, super spicy.

[Have a familiar face, even if it's one she hasn't seen in a while. Offering a friendly wave too.]

So first, I guarantee if you want a taste tester, you should ask for Son Goku. Or, I could get myself and my sister to come and help. Large appetites are kind of a thing for the 3 of us--although I have the least of them.

Also, I know we don't know each other well, Rapunzel--but I...understand being in a shadow. Of sorts. I have a bit of a different issue, but--I understand. At least enough to commiserate, I think, based on what you said but without details.

Or you know, if you just want help with setting up the business. I'm not my mom, but Mai and I are used to having to handle large groups of survivors, in terms of resource-management. It has to crossover some, with basic tavern-management somehow.

I will make sure to keep that in mind. I have to assume you all can handle spicy foods...

[Because she didn't want to consider it if they couldn't tolerate it. But soon the young woman was smiling slightly.]

Thank you. I know we don't know each other very well, but I really do appreciate it. I mean... It's going to take a lot of work to really do my own thing, but I like to think I'll get there evetually. Plus... I'm not used to having help much, so it will be weird.

I don't think any of us have met food we don't like, so make of that what you will. Besides, Mai and I spent the last year with whatever rations we could find that were edible and wouldn't make us sick. She doesn't have the large appetite, but I can ask if she's interested in taste-testing too.

Most of my life, help has been few and far between, not for lack of trying though. I'm well aware I can't do everything on my own, so I try to help in turn. I'm not always successful at it, but I can try anyways right? If nothing else, I can help you with construction or moving things. I've had experience with rebuilding stuff...

Okay. Maybe next time we meet I can bring some food items then. Enough for everyone to have a try anyway.

As for help... I know I do need help moving stuff that I am unable to. it's part of why things aren't ready yet because it's just too heavy for me alone.

Don't feel obligated, but I wanted you to know the offer is there. Also if you give me a location, I can stop by anytime and help you move stuff. Mom used to use me for heavy-lifting and moving things all the time growing-up. I'm used to it.

Now is a good time. I'm still at work. I have a lot of painting to do after all.

[OOC: it's in attlteon, and I put it around about near the middle of the city. But we don't have exact street names and such like we do in Genessia.]

[Works for me. He actually knows Attleton reasonably well, even though he lives in Nova.]

Just make a list, and I'll be there soon alright Rapunzel? I'm not at all afraid of hard work, and am used to helping rebuild.

[He'll keep his phone on him, but otherwise cut the feed. It won't take him long at all get there. Maybe a little more than an hour. Calling out in greeting so he won't startle her. Normal combat pants and boots, with the blue jacket open and black tank top underneath. No sword, no bandanna, but with a smile.]

[Rapunzel was currently hanging from her hair high up in the shop. She had been currently painting what seemed to be another star constellation that she knew of back home. When she hears a voice she moved to lower herself down.]

Hi. I hadn't started a list yet. Sorry. I kind of got distracted. But I do know what I needed to get done and it mostly positioning the tables and chairs.

[He'd seen her hair braided before, but...down? it was impressive, and a little worrisome. But if she was comfortable, then who was he to judge?]

It's okay, you can stay where you are!

[She didn't have to lower herself, when he could just come to her. Easy enough to float up, and it also gave him a good view of the room.]

Just point out where you want them, and I can take care of it.

[Rapunzel found herself pausing for a moment. She wasn't expecting him to float of all things.]

Um, well...The first table that is against the wall I wanted by the window.

[She gestured with her hand toward it. That was the one she remembered off by heart.]

That's a table for two.

[Reaching back, Trunks rubs his shoulder sheepishly.]

Sorry, I have a lot of skills you haven't seen. This is one of them.

[At least she was taking it in stride. Then back to business, and he's following her gesture and nodding.]

I'm guessing you have multiple tables of each type right? or is there a specific one?

It's fine. There is a lot I haven't seen in general even after Ive been here for so long.

[She nodded slightly.]

I do. I have mostly four people tables and two though. I don't have anything bigger.

Well, do you want to take a moment and figure out where you want some tables now, or should I just use my judgement and then re-arrange once you've seen how it looks?

[Because Trunks honestly didn't mind. His mother (and others) used him for hauling often both during his childhood and during rebuilding and recovery.]

I did have a design of where I wanted to put things... or a basic outline somewhere.

[She just had to lower herself down to the ground undoing her hair and letting it fall to the floor. Once she was sorted she went about looking for it.]

But you can make a judgement on what might work.

[Then he's going to take an extra moment and stay up in the air, to get an idea of how the room looks from that angle.]

[Which means it's down and to work. First, moving that two-person table where she wanted it.]

[Rapunzel went to check it over for a moment. She seemed happy about the placement but before she is able to be certain she steps back thumb up and moving it from side to side.]

I think that's perfect... Now I want to place a four-person seat...but... I'm now not sure the place I wanted it will be the best place.

[Seriously, moving furniture was easy for him. It's nice to spend time just...doing normal things.]

why is this place called the Snuggly Duckling?

Why?

[She moves to gesture to where she thought it would be a good fit before she actually carried on her reason for the name.]

Because it was a name of a place back home I went to. There were thugs there, like they looked scary, but really they all had dreams they wanted to do. Because of this places purpose in making dreams come true it just made sense to name it as such.

[No problem carrying the seat and following her gesture.]

Huh, wonder how it got its name in the first place. I'm not entirely sure how a tavern will help make dreams come true, but that might just be my lack of imagination.

The tavern itself is to raise the money for whatever is needed to be done. I mean had to make money for whatever dreams people have somehow.

[She thought there was logic behind it as she started to go grab some chairs to put with the tables.]

[Sayaka was so amused by this..a tavern named the Snuggly Duckling. This was too good, this girl was way too pure and good. She raised a brow, proud of Rapunzel]

You are such a genuinely good person. Having healing hair sounds really awesome, but it shows you have a heart of gold when it comes to caring for others. So good for you!

...And you bet I'm going to rise up to your cookie challenge, that'll be a piece of cake! Er. Cookie. Haha.

It can be...awesome. I guess. It' why I wanted to help, but then I am always reminded it's also why I... was locked away for so long.

[She decided that she wanted to help in other ways, or at least learn medical stuff to maybe do basic first aid if it was needed.]

So I know it's something I must give up in order to move past that. [She couldn't help but giggle.] Piece of cookie! Of course.

[Part of Lea wants to protest, to tell her not to give up the source of her magic so easily. But this clearly important to her an obviously not an off the cuff decision, so he holds his tongue.]

Congratulations on the new business. Though I think I'll sit out the spicy cookie challenge; kinda cheating a bit when being attuned to fire gives you a higher tolerance.

I think that would be cheating. Maybe I could do an opposite challenge for you or something.

[She will.]

Hmm... Maybe an ice cream eating challenge or something? I could probably go for that.

I could do something like that. Like, find the worlds coldest ice cream or something.

I know there's certain kinds of ice cream that are made with liquid nitrogen. Not sure whether that makes them colder than regular ice cream or not, but it does make them pretty interesting.

I've never seen ice cream made like that... How does that work?

Well, from what I know, they take all the ingredients you'd normally put in ice cream- milk, sugar, flavoring, etc.- and they put them all in a bowl. Then they spray the mixture with liquid nitrogen; it's super cold stuff, so much so that you can't actually touch it with your bare hands without hurting yourself. Then they mix it all up and it pretty much turns into ice cream in less than a minute because again, the liquid nitrogen is super cold.

Oh wow. This is something I kind of want to see in person. It sounds amazing.

There might be someplace in one of the cities that makes it. I'll look into it and let you know.

I will look forward to it then. For now I should get back to working on a few things.

[She knows what she wants to say, she's just not sure if it's what she should say. Orihime likes Rapunzel, but are they close enough where she can start dispensing advice over matters this sensitive?]

If it's okay to ask...do you truly want to give up your healing abilities? Even if this person was guaranteed to never come to Genessia?

It would, so many wigs that I am sure a lot of people would love.

[At least she would have hope that people might like it. But she found herself pausing for a moment or two. It was an interesting question and one Rapunzel had to ponder for a while.]

Well... I guess I don't have an exact answer. Like I would feel weird not having it, but at the same time, we have so many people who can do amazing things with their healing that I am sure it would be fine to give it up.

It's true that we have more healers here than I'm used to seeing, but I don't know if you can ever really have too many. Halloween is coming up too, and I know that's when things get dangerous and people will need healers the most.

[She hitches her shoulders with a little smile.]

Maybe wait until after that season is over if you're really not sure? Because if it's a power you won't be able to recover, then it's not really the kind of decision you want to make if there will be regrets later on, ne?

I think I was around when Halloween was here last time... [She was trying to remember what exactly happened. She knew things did happen but couldn't remember if people actually got hurt or not.]

[She nodded for a moment.]

I think I understand what you mean. I guess I can do that and keep using my hair for what I usually use it for the moment. Catching people, moving stuff around, lifting things.

It seems really useful! I just don't want you to get rid of something important to you because you're afraid of things that might not ever happen. Let the choice be yours, okay?

I guess it can be. But it's also just because it's what I always used it for since I've been able to use it for those purposes.

But I understand. The choice I make I have to not regret what I decide.
