[ Even though she is fidgeting a little when the feed comes on, the pretty brunette offers a charming little smile as soon as she knows the video is going. She is sitting in the room she had been given upon arrival but she doesn't feel like staying there for long. She feels restless and she wants to check things out but maybe getting a little bit of direction isn't a bad thing. Nor is meeting new people. ]

So this is...fun. Have to admit that I kind of thought maybe this was some kind of afterlife or something but I've been reassured by a big grumpy man that it's not. [ Pressing her lips together a bit, she falls silent for a second before continuing on. ]

Anyways, my name is Courtney and I'm kind of new to this place. I guess I'll have to find a place to live and somewhere to work too but I do have a question for everyone. Is there a good place to go when you just want to go dancing and cut loose?

I'm sure there are a million other important questions I could be asking but those will come in time. Once I have more time to process, I guess. I mean, there is a part of me that still wonders if I'm dreaming or if this is some kind of other place people go when they die but....

[ She frowns. ]

[He trails off with a shrug, reaching up to rake his shock of dark hair back from his face.]

That's okay, saying something is nice. It's also nice to know that I'm not the only new person here.

But how can you be sure? Are you a Death God too?

[He snorts at that, shaking his head with a smile.] A god? Oh, hell no. I'm, uh--I'm a mage, actually. Dragon mage, least that's what they call it where I come from.

Name's Neil.

You're a mage too? [ She perks a little bit at that because it's a term that she is familiar with. Not that it's a mysterious term since it's pretty standard all over the place it seems but still. It's nice to hear someone else call themselves a mage. ]

I'm Courtney and it's nice to meet you. Now what exactly is a Dragon Mage?

Sure am. [That's a hell of a look, one he's not used to. Like she's a kid that just got a lollipop. It's...cute.]

Dragon mage is basically a fire mage--thing is, elemental fire's not what I'm good at. I, uh...I control dragon fire.

[Demonstration? Neil lifts his palm, then curls his fingers in like claws--and abruptly, a flame comes to live hovering just above his hand. Unlike real fire, it has a heavier look, tangible like heavy fog or fabric at its core of white edged in burnt orange, with scarlet sparks flying off at its edges.]

[ Martha still watches the networks daily for people who might be hurt or in trouble. This girl isn't either, but the question's one that she might have asked...but somehow never got around to asking. Which is why she answers. ]

It's not. It's a pocket universe of a sort, which probably doesn't mean a lot unless you're a time or space traveler. But either way, yeah, you're not dead.

The dancing's a good question and I don't have a proper answer. If you're in the mood for it and don't mind make a friend of a few strangers, I bet I can find out.

[ Okay, so that isn't the strangest thing that Courtney has ever heard in her life but she still takes a second to just blink and wrap her mind around it. ]

I wasn't before but I guess I could call myself one now kind of? [ She is only half kidding as she tucks some hair back from her face. ] Can we get back at all?

And I don't mind making a friend of a few strangers. I wouldn't even mind having company if people like to dance.

[ She's quick, this one is. Martha gives her a smile of encouragement. ]

Dead clever, you. [ She presses her lips together after, then shrugs ] Can't exactly go back, no. But you can visit in a way.

[ She can call Jack and Rose, they'd know about dancing or people who might want to go. ] What say I call a few of my friends and see if anyone wants to go out?

I guess I have my moments. [ Courtney chuckles, ducking her head slightly before nodding. ] Maybe it's for the best that I can't go back. I guess I'll just look at it that way.

[ Then she nods. There isn't really anyone for her to call at the moment but hopefully, that will change after she meets more people. ] I say that sounds great, thank you. And you will be coming along too, right?

[Seth is sitting on his couch, shirtless and feeling rather accomplished because he's finally chosen a name for the spa he wants to open. He'll probably change that name within the hour but for the moment he's feeling pretty good about it and ignoring everything else in his life that sucks.

White messy hair falls over pale golden eyes and its very hard to tell if it's always messy or if its styled that way.]

I know a few places to dance.

What kind of dancing are you looking for?

[He likes dancing and she's cute which is two very decent distractions.]

[ Speaking of distracting, Courtney finds her eyes widening ever so slightly for a second at the sight of the newcomer on her screen and the fact that he is shirtless...as well as cute.

But she gives herself a quick mental shake because it's not like she hasn't seen a lot of shirtless guys before. It happens a lot at the dance studio. ]

Usually, I just go dancing at a club but I can do a couple other styles too. I have gone line dancing once or twice.

The most popular one is in Nova City though. Owned by a guy named Gale I think. I've been there a few times and it's entertaining. Club music mostly. He has smaller similar places in other cities with slightly different vibes.

[ Courtney nods her head in consideration. ]

Well, I'll probably want to check out that one first and the other ones later on. There's no reason to limit myself, right?

No reason at all. In fact, I'd make a tour of it.

[He runs his fingers through his messy white hair.]

[Yeah, Sayaka had the same thought of this place being the afterlife..but some things are just too real and cruel for it to be an afterlife, but not as cruel as something like hell. So she put on her confident face, saddened though]

No..you're not dreaming, and you're not dead either. This is all very real. But it's also a good real in that it is a new start somewhat.

Regardless, Nova City has a lot of dance places if you're interested. That's the life of all the towns, I believe. Are you a professional dancer?

[ It seems like a very reasonable line of thinking but she doesn't really seriously think it either. She just wants to be sure considering the fact that she is or was supposed to die back home.

She offers a relieved smile at the reassurance though she does feel a bit bad about making someone sad. ]

Okay, well, that's good to know. [ She chuckles a little though there isn't a lot of humor behind it. ] I guess you're probably right about that too. The new start, I mean.

I'm starting to pick up on that and, no, uh, not professional. I've taken classes but I mostly just do it for fun.

You should take some more classes, because from what I hear, being a dancer or a musician is very popular here. You'd make friends like crazy..and money~

[ She took a moment to look around for something she can write on since she would have to start making a list soon. Then she chuckled. ]

Maybe just a little, yeah. It's a fun way to get rid of some energy and to lose yourself for awhile.

I took some ballroom lessons when I was younger but I didn't get too far into it, to be honest. Still, it's very pretty to watch.

Well, that's good to know. About the 'After Life' and the other clubs. I might have heard about the one in Nova City already as a couple people have suggested that I go check it out.
