Make Way for the Lord of Spirits [Action]
[The pod could have picked a better week to open. As the strange metal contraption released its seals and the lid lifted, a cold wind swept in from the blizzard setting in during the night. Milla Maxwell was awoken. She's confused, she's hungry, and she's out of contact with The Four. How unfavourable.]
[Like the others, she finds the box, and reads over its contents carefully. How curious. Brought to a world she doesn't know for reasons undisclosed. There's no time to dwell however. Stepping out of the pod the young woman examines herself. No injuries. Strange, but that's good news. She can feel the presence of spirits, but The Four seem to be oddly vacant from whatever world she's found herself in. The presence of spirits assures her she's not on Elympios, but she's never heard of this "Genessia" in Rieze Maxia either...]
[Well, she has no choice. She must march forward and assess the situation. She trudges through the Bay's waters until she can find the shore, shielding her face from errant snow as it fell from the sky. It was cold without Efreet to warm her. Her stomach won't stop growling either, without Gnome providing her with the nutrients her body needs. How long had she been sleeping?]
[Is there an inn nearby? If she could get out of this cold and find something to eat... Then perhaps she can make sense of the device she had been given and the necklace around her neck.]
[Waking at night doesn't seem to work in her favour. One might catch her wandering the city as she attempts to find a public place where she could either eat or warm up. Preferably both.]

... Very well, you have a point. [The last person she could remember flying all the time was Muzét, so...] Then are you a spirit? Not human, of course, but humanoid.

I'm Marceline, the vampire queen. [...Ta da? It feels like a ta da moment. A little bit.]

[She subdues her surprise and goes back to get an apple of her own.] Though I suppose you don't follow the conventional image put forth by such literature. This world will never cease to amaze me. [She takes a bite of the apple and looks around Marceline's quaint little apartment.] And now you live here.
no subject
Yep, now I live here. And you do too by the looks of things.
no subject
Yes it appears I do. Hm... I suppose as long as I am here, I should get a handle on life in this place. [Things like how people live, what dangers the world poses, and just what she might be able to do to get home. But who could tell her what this place is all about? Marceline doesn't seem at all very useful in that regard.]
I thank you for your hospitality. I assure you I won't burden you very long.

Life here is pretty much what it says in the leaflet. Home, lame job to pay for home, magic amulet so you can go places. It doesn't say anything about the totally sweet hunting you can get done, but I guess that puts off people who have no sense of fun.
no subject
Hunting you say? So there are dangers about, not unlike my world... Monsters? [She's genuinely curious, but there is a glint in her eye. Battling monsters wasn't something she'd quickly get used to no longer being able to do, that's for sure.]

Hmm, but they way you talk you make it sound as if you are a guardian's assistant. Is that right? What is a guardian, exactly?
