So... it occurs to me that I need to find gainful employment in this place. I cannot simply sit on my laurels and expect my siblings to accrue the funds we require to support us. However... I have no idea how to go about that, nor do I really know what sort of work I would be qualified for. My only real skills pertain to mounted combat, and playing the violin...

In my world, I am a Malig Knight, a Wyvern rider proficient in both magic and axe usage, but I prefer axes.

I'm just saying looks can be useful, and with an axe-wielding, knight, with a pet that can claw anyone in two, you can do anything your heart wants. -And with these humans being absolute fools over that shallow fact, you'll be rolling in good ol' blood and money in no time.

Yes. The women of Nohr's nobility were expected to know multiple ways of entertaining guests, so musical distractions were very common.

I was allowed very few luxuries or hobbies that were truly my own. I suppose flying with my wyvern was one of them. That's why I chose to be a Malig Knight rather than joining the cavalry.

I have seen jobs offering money for playing instruments. I've also seen people play in the streets with instrument cases open and those who listen toss money into the case. I'm unsure how lucrative it is.

I was fortunate enough to find a job opening in Fayren, working for the royal guard. They are in need of arms instructors, and so I applied to teach recruits the art of swordplay. If you're willing to teach, I suggest giving them a look.

Hmm... I've never taught others, but Gunter tells me I'm a natural with an axe. I thank you for the suggestion Sir Bedivere. Perhaps before long we will be colleagues.

Perhaps so! If you do, I might have to watch at some point. I haven't met very many who favor axes -- most of the other knights I fought alongside favored swords, though my king was also quite adept with a lance and Sir Tristan was also skilled with a bow.

Axes are very common among the Nohrian cavalry, along with spears. However, the airborne divisions of Wyvern Riders and Malig Knights favor axes simply because of our mounts. Swooping down on enemy lines makes an axe far more practical than a lance or sword.

That is one thing I do miss... my Wyvern was so adorable... and flying with her was one of the few luxuries I was truly allowed...
