Because right in the middle of the hall is a girl with brightly colored hair having herself a nice hot cup of tea. Instead of saving up her money she apparently decided that buying a teapot and a matching cup was far more important to her. Anyone who comes near her, she tips her hat off to them with a bright smile. ]

Would you like a cup of tea~?

[ After realizing that she not only "fell down" the wrong rabbit hole and ended up in this place, and realizing that getting back home wasn't going to be simple... at all, instead of getting upset about it all and causing a fuss, Maddie was all for exploring the city. To get a better look at the world and all the people who live here, what better way was there than to get a new view!

The world would look a lot different upside down, which was why Maddie decided to roam around walking on her hands.]

That's why hatters own many hats and the best tea parties have at least 9 types of tea.

I feel rather ashamed of myself. To think I've gone all these years only using a single cozy for my tea pots. It looks like I still have much to learn of hattering!

Oh it's quite alright. [Everyone has to start somewhere, right?] When I was just a kitten I only drank milk without tea.

At least I never liked coffee. Some of my coworkers can't start the day without it.

Certainly! I go almost every day after work. Their tarts are almost better than the Queen's!

[In fact they probably are better, but Ches is a terrible cat and misses watching the Queen throw a tantrum whenever they go missing.]

But her majesty has always been in a maddening space.

[Clearly Wonderland is the most maddening of spaces even without the Cheshire Cat's maddening antics.]

Oh you are so very right! And without a queen as mad as her, why Wonderland would explode! And possibly not in a fun way.

There are many hat stores here for practicing. [As well two other fully fledged hatters who have yet to make their presences known.] Someone suggested wearing hats on top of hats on top of more hats!

[He chuckles merrily and mirrors the hand action.]

Oh! What a delightful thought! But what if in between those hats you place a tea pot as well? Now that would certainly be fun.

Is it just you from home? Surly you haven't been spreading the wonder all on your own have you?

[ She actually looks a little worried. Not about the wonder part, but if he's been the only one here, then surely he must have been lonely! ]

Then the hats would double as cozies! But the teapots would also become cozies, so you would have teapots between hats and cozies on cozies.

There are plenty of wonders to discover even if they aren't from Wonderland. I met two wizards not long ago.

[What a sweet Hatter! But there's no need to worry about Ches; he has a habit of being adopted by everyone.]

One likes dark arts and tea and can also magic cats and yarn. [Is "magic" a verb? It certainly is now!] The other favours light arts but doesn't actually use it for art.

[Silly cat has no idea what Albus and Gellert are capable of.]

They both seemed a far too solid for headstands, though we could certainly invite them and ask!
