[Video/Action] Final Fitting
Who: Koishi and YOU
What: Combat!
Where: Arena
Warnings: Blood 'n violence. Possible character death. (Consequence free revive because of the arena)
[Video]
Koishi appeared on screen, her face too close to the camera. She tapped it twice. "Hello? Is this working...?" A pause "Oh... Oh! There we go." Stepping back she was wearing something not seen for some time. A pseudo military uniform. It was clean and in order. Even the somewhat shabby scarf had been pressed nicely and was laying flat. A... Kamui?
"Miss Satsuki and I have been working really hard on getting Noushuketsu here into fighting shape!" She patted the outfit's lapel gently. "So we're gonna be down at the Attleton arena for some scuffles. No holding back!" She was absolutely beaming into the camera. "Anyone is invited to come! I need to see how Noushuketsu works in any situation. And since its the arena no one will stay hurt from the fight. Isn't that great?" Which probably meant that there was a good chance lethal force was going to be used.
She stepped back, pointing the device at Satsuki in the background. "Miss Satsuki is already here so we're going to get started right away. So just go to the prep room to get ready if there's a fight going on. Or just walk out if there isn't! Okay? I'll see you there!"
And click!

When she wasn't on break to recharge her strength Koishi would be waiting in the arena, clad in her battle Kamui and stretching her arms. It vaguely resembled an air-force dress uniform with a blazer and skirt. The scarf holding the collar had a single eye on the left which was whitened and static, the one on the right present but sewn shut.
She would wait for her next opponent to approach before placing her fingers on her left arm and sliding the decorative stripes downward.
Post transformation the kamui looked remarkably different than it had during the incident. besides the usual expected gaps several drapes of fabric hung from it, wrapping around her sides and connected in the back resembling a broken straightjacket. The buckles that would have held it in place sprouted from her back and shoulders, each ending in a blade of hardened life fibers. The shoulders were asymmetrical, the right sporting visible stitch lines and damage, the left set a little further in. Open but still blind. In fact, Koishi herself had been blinded also, the Kamui covering the upper half of her face in life fibers though the apparel lacked the muzzle it had originally put her in.
Additionally there was a lot of metallic hardened life fibers both decorative and functional covering the combat suit. She had the metal collar and heart shaped lock to the manacles and decorative chains wrapped around her forearms. Bolted to the back of each hand was a massive two pronged metal claw which appeared to fold up and back along the forearm at command.
Rather than act like some sort of caged animal, she kept her composure this time, standing at the ready and inclining her head toward her opponent's movements despite her apparent blindness.
"You can make the first move, so you can leave if you want to, okay? Because I wont go easy on you! Not even a little bit!

[Locked to Satsuki]
"We'll keep going until someone surrenders or dies, okay? And since its the arena it will be fine. So make sure you don't hold back Miss Satsuki!"
She grabbed the armband and gave it a firm twist, the uniform transforming before the little youkai slid into a combat stance. This was so exciting. She could barely contain herself!
"Attack when you're ready. It's been too long since I fought a ronin at their peak!"
no subject
As for the terms of defeat, "Very well."
Satsuki had no intention of taking Koishi's life though. She was confident, however misplaced it may be, that she could defeat the youkai without a killing blow. Her fingers piano along her upper arm, uniform transformed, and bakuzan in hand.
'You feel different, Junketsu. I wonder what you are trying to say.' she thought to herself as she dashed toward Koishi at a speed abrupt enough to kick up a massive cloud of dust as she closed the distance. And once close enough, would assault her smaller opponent with a flurry of single arm slashes.
no subject
She held her ground as Sastuki dashed, moving to dodge the strikes as they came. She did have to block eventually, the shock wave from Bakuzan hitting the armored back of one of Koishi's gloves almost deafening.
She hopped back and out of the flurry, ducking low and dashing back forward again, trying to slash at Satsuki's legs. It was more a hit and run tactic than an all out attack as she would back off again once it was completed and fire off a lance of jagged, red psychic energy.
no subject
Each strike that came too close instead came in contact with the back of flat of her blade in a parrying manner, with her eagle-eyed focus barely shifting. She was already starting to get cocky, even if her frown suggested otherwise, "Taking me apart limb by limb is a rather morbid strategy."
She may as well enjoy it while she can, Satsuki knew this was merely the first stage of battle. The energy that followed was contested by her then-glowing blade, powered by the magic it had been blessed with long ago. It was mistaken for magic, so she wasn't aware if her attempt to cleave through it with a brute force swing would fail or not. "But that would grant me three chances to strike you down in one blow."
no subject
But unlike the berserk form Satsuki couldn't rely on koishi just attacking. The little youkai was very tactical at times. And underestimating her would be a terrible idea.
"Morbid but effective! Prey can't struggle without limbs." Unlike her opponent, Koishi was taking this fight very seriously.
She moved to get in close again, blades up to deflect any counters that Satsuki might inflict. She swung, though it wasn't just the hand blade this time. Several of the buckle blades struck too, either trying to inflict damage past Satsuki's defenses or wrap around an arm or leg for a grapple.
no subject
"Is that right?" she replied as she felt her body break into a cold sweat. She was able to shake the sensation off and become more alert and decides for the moment the best strategy is to keep some distance- make things a mid-range battle to take advantage of her reach. "From what I have seen you are perfectly capable of remaining dangerous without lim-"
Though maybe Koishi has the reach advantage after all as the moment the blades clashed, she dashed backward, only to find the buckles making up for it. She found her unarmed arm captured.
no subject
The ones aimed at Satsuki bounced harmlessly off- fortunately it didn't seem the buckle blades could pierce Junketsu. Though it would be foolish to assume the claws could not. But instead Koishi turned, digging her heels in as she pulled hard on the straps, letting the force of the swing keep Satsuki in place as she was brought around once... twice... and then into the ground. Hard.
She didn't give Satsuki a chance to recover, leaping up as the straps released her wrist and sending another psychic lance down through the dust. This one had more force behind it, intending to crack and pierce even the ground as opposed to Satsuki's mind.
no subject
With a grunt, Satsuki found herself hitting the ground with enough force to form a circular indention upon it. It isn't clear with the dust in the way, but even the quick execution of the lance didn't seem to be fast enough to meet its mark, as she had already darted from the even larger cloud that formed from behind.
Satsuki twisted herself to slam her heels against the wall of the arena then propelled herself through the settling dust and directly back in the path of her opponent. With her blade gripped tightly in both hands, she thrust it forward attempting a piercing strike.
no subject
She made a sound somewhere between a roar and a hiss. She didn't retreat though. Pushing forward and lashing out with the straps again, grabbing, cutting, bombarding Satsuki with psychic pressure and striking with her left claw at whatever she could reach.
Satsuki could probably dodge the the unbalanced attack fairly easily, but trying to escape and free her sword from the bone and Kamui might lower her chances considering the weapon's length and the current range.
Those icons tho
A plan B quickly formulated, as her goal at that point was to find the opportunity to use the imbedded blade to pin Koishi into something- Getting toward an arena wall could be a start. Or maybe into the ground. Satsuki swept low and abandoned Bakuzan to avoid the straps, the clawing of course would be easiest from the position but the psychic pressure- She'll just have to deal with it as she tried to keep herself behind the satori.
Of course it may not be as simple as baiting Koishi into the 'just right' position, but this was an opportunity to see how well Koishi could attack from behind.
Late reply is late
She had retracted her left claws, freeing her wrist enough to try and remove the sword from her shoulder. It was embedded quite firmly, though it was giving inch by inch.
This split focus was certainly to Satsuki's advantage though. Koishi was certainly on the defensive, the straps more focused on warding her away than striking precisely. Certainly they would do a lot of damage if they connected but the little youkai was unbalanced causing her flight to be less steady and the psychic pressure to fluctuate.
[Open for Fights]
Re: [Open for Fights] - Action
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[He had seen the video and...a fight? It did spark his interest a bit, but would he really have time to do so?
...Yes. Ryoma had to wrap his mind around the fact that his world is frozen while he's here. A fact that's still so alien to him. Besides, as a Prince, he needed to keep his skills up and prepared for anything.
Appearing in the ring at last, Ryoma gazed at the person. The transformation was impressive. Getting into place, he positioned himself, hand on his Raijinto's hilt]
Then you are the young warrior Koishi. I am honored to be able to fight with you. Are there any rules to this?
no subject
She stepped forward, raising her metal claws to ready. Facing him head on. "The rules are simple. Fight until one of us is dead or surrenders. This is the arena. Death is not permanent. And you wont have to sacrifice a part of yourself to return if you do die."
She held her ground, not moving to attack. This was Ryoma's chance to walk away if he didn't agree with the terms.
no subject
What got him, though as he felt the pulse of his Raijinto's lightning was-]
..Death is not permanent...what do you mean? This arena won't let either one of us die?
[In his head, this was a sparring battle oops]
no subject
She remained in place, flexing her hands and rolling her shoulders like a warrior still adjusting to new armor. She was still giving him the courtesy of first strike and the opportunity to reconsider should he choose to.
"I wouldn't blame you if you walked away though. Facing death with only someone's word that it isn't permanent is frightening. So I won't stop you if you change your mind."
no subject
...Then again, if Ryoma wasn't going to fight in the face of this fear, he would not have known, nor have gotten stronger. Not even stronger, but smarter about any unknown opponent in his near future. The warlord stepped forward, rotating his Raijinto in place. He just needed to be ready to spout a surrender before things get too deep.
Taking mental note, the Prince was ready and replied]
Thank you for your explanation. I won't hold back, however, I didn't catch your name? I..am Prince Ryoma of Hoshido. And I do not give up easily!
[With that, the warlord sprung forward his movements as nimble as possible, first knowing that he wanted to go for the Kamui's hands..or whatever those were. They looked powerful]
no subject
She slid into a fighting stance, the dull blades held at the ready as he sprung forward. They were indeed hands with wicked blades bolted to the back to them. More broad than a light slashing weapon. Perhaps they were designed for punching through armor?
Koishi sprang back as he struck. She was fast! She didn't go too far though, a toe touching the ground to move her quickly to one side, countering his rush by slashing forward, trying to strike the plates between his armor, her free hand held up and to the side to try and defend against any counters he might make.
video.
[Seventeen knew better age and appearances has nothing against fighting. The kid asked to fight, and he was very curious about this. Maybe he could learn her fighting style or something. Plus, he had time to spare so why not. He calmly walked up to the stage, hands tucked in his pockets, jumped onto the stage.]
Any rules? It's just to test out the threads, right?
[He wanted to be sure first before he did anything.]
Video
She had a strange smile when saying this.
"But, you see, I don't want to have to hold back. That's why I picked this place."
...why did i put video! x.x /hits self!/ ACTION!
Yeah, that would be a pain if that were to happen.
[No surprise there when he answered dryly. Where Seventeen came from, blowing areas up was a thing.]
Okay, fine. Let's do this.
[Already Seventeen threw one hand out and released a ki beam from the palm of his hand to the little monster.]
Its fine. Also, apologies. She's a bullet hell boss.
Seventeen would soon be finding out just how good Koishi was at dodging. She was no stranger to avoiding laser beams. The eye on the costume's left shoulder twitched.
This one was very strong. "Marvelous...!"
And she tore forward. With the same impossible speed but Seventeen would still be able to track her. She lashed forward with her claw blades, aimed for his throat.
She fits in well with the DBZ universe, all the OP
Even without the Kamui the fight would be pretty interesting. For different reasons.
Two more slashes and she suddenly leapt back and up, cracking the ground and kicking up a cloud of dust. She wasted no time. A faint red line in the dusty air was Seventeen's only warning before a jagged lance of thought cut through it.
The beam could crack stone and dent cars but it would do very little to the android physically. Paranoia. Fear. Despair. The darkest corners of the human psyche. Such attacks would be debilitating. And even if the beam didn't hit directly the effects could be felt radiating off of it.
Re: Even without the Kamui the fight would be pretty interesting. For different reasons.
When Koishi leaped up, Seventeen launched himself up as well trying to match her speed, darting towards her, until there was a beam heading his way. Quickly Seventeen threw one arm forward bubbled himself, a green barrier surrounded the android. The beam slammed on the barrier, and it withstand.
When the barrier disintegrated, Seventeen's eyes widen for a moment, dark thoughts suddenly washed over him, which slowed his movements for a moment. Without a second thought, Seventeen barraged Koishi with energy blasts non-stop for a good moment before he flew away from where he was.
...Did he just retreated from the odd girl? He had to pause and think for a moment to himself, leaving him wide open.
no subject
Still smiling she drifted forward in the air, masking her perception and seeming to vanish.
It wouldn't be until Seventeen felt one of the claws pierce his side that he would realize Koishi was able to blink! Moments later searing thoughts began crashing down on him in waves. Despair. Hopelessness. He was fighting himself as much as he was fighting Koishi.
no subject
Which proven futile, Koishi already made her way near him. Her claws swept Seventeen's side, tore his shirt and flesh. Seventeen's next initiate thought was to grab the girl's arm while her claw was on him. Once again, thoughts of despair flooded his mind again. Seventeen's hand was trembling, he had to get out.
Instead of holding her hand as planned, he lifted his leg up instead, delivering a hard kick to kick her far enough and himself, hopefully that gave him some distance.
Late reply is quite late
She certainly wasn't as quick as he was but her movement and utility seemed to make up for it. Not to mention her psychic abilities...
Speaking of which Koishi stopped short, bowing her head slightly as she fired a red hot lance of psychic energy at him. It certainly wouldn't be strong enough to hurt Seventeen physically but the mental effects were horrible.
That wasn't the only one either, the youkai conjuring a number of them, letting them slowly rotate around her body like spokes on a wheel. Getting in close was going to be hard.
no subject
However, Ten is watching completely turned off or cold rather.
no subject
Though she seemed capable of using her psychic abilities she seemed to be using them more sparingly. Either because she was trying to test the kamui or because the kamui limited them. It wasn't clear.
What was clear, however, is how she fought hand to hand. She was quick, efficient, and ruthless. And the kamui she was serving to enhance what was already a formidable foe. The round after Satsuki's being particularly brutal as she tore three non-amulet wearing combatants apart with ease. She even had the time to rip one's heart out for a mid-round snack before the bodies were taken to be healed and restored to life.
She had always called herself a 'monster' with good reason.
Noushuketsu?
[The kitsune arches his brow some.]
You're entering the fray wearing...that?
no subject
It didn't look like much without the transformation...
"Combined with my skill and magic I bet I could win any fight!"
no subject
A combat suit that's named "Brain Hemorrhaging"? Quite...creative but tactless.
[He smirks a little.]
Looks a tad silly if you ask me. Though, I'm curious to see what it can do.
[His smile fades some.]
Shall I test it capability? My sword could pierce it.
no subject
How pleasant.
"You should come to the arena. I'll fight you here if you have the courage. And we'll see if your sword can pierce it!" A grin, letting her human guise slip a little. "I have no capacity to judge you or be offended if you don't want to come though. After all, satori youkai are feared for good reason. So I'll preemptively promise not to crawl inside your head. Okay?"
video โป action
[There's a hint of alarm in Tsukihito's tone when the fairy explains just how this abomination nearly killed her. He stares at the girl for a long while, obviously stunned to silence. Just why would she subject herself to such injuries? All for the sake of power?
The kitsune shakes his head.]
You could've died. [Stating the obvious as usual.] If this combat suit is as unstable as you claim it to be, then it would be wiser to get rid of it.
[His concern changes into arrogance once the fairy loosely hints at his pride. Should he fight her? Probably not. There's nothing to gain from fighting Koishi but still, he's curious about this battle suit.
Maybe he ought to humor her.]
For as long as I lived, I never lacked courage. [He explains tersely.] Youkai don't scare me and you certainly don't.
[At least not yet. This former deity sometimes overestimates himself.]
Deal. I'll meet you at the arena posthaste.
[Tsukihito bids her farewell for now with a slight nod before turning the feed off.]
โงโงโง
Attleton isn't one of the city-states Tsukihito remembers visiting during his past stay in Genessia. The kitsune resided in Fayren at the time, another city-state known for its more rustic feel. Tsukihito forsook the other cities in favor of living free and wild within the woods. He used to watch over the forests there as their unannounced guardian but much has changed since now and then. Tsukihito still resides mostly in Fayren but has begun to set his sights on the murky city of Everglade instead.
The kitsune makes his way towards the Arena with an easy stride. Despite claiming to arrive with haste, Tsukihito took his time walking from the gate. He strolled idly through the streets of this humble little town, his red gaze eyeing the simplistic architect of the houses near. Once at the Arena, Tsukihito quickly shrugs off his white jimbaori letting it fall onto the ground in an ungraceful heap revealing the red and black sword at his hip. If this is going to be a difficult match, he might as well be as comfortable as possible.
"So?" Tsukihito takes a quick pull from his pipe. "Shall we start?"
no subject
This... Was a lot less silly than it had appeared before. Even if it did appear to be blinding her. Despite this she was clearly very alert, her head pointed straight at the kitsune.
"Let's begin. Whenever you're ready." She lowered herself into a fighting stance. "I'll give you first strike. Start whenever you're ready."
no subject
"How chivalrous of you." Tsukihito states as unsheathes his sword in one swift motion. An accomplished sowrdsman in his own right, Tsukihito takes up a more traditional Chudan No Kamae stance with his black katana pointed towards the girl. Much like other eastern blades, the Ame-no-Ohabari is designed to slash rather than pierce but the Ohabari was made with the intention of being able to slash from both sides of the blade. It's the fabled sword of Takamagahara, one of the sacred treasures.
"Usually it's ladies first, isn't it?" He asks before suddenly rushing forward in hopes of landing the first strike. His speed is definitely inhuman since in just a few steps, Tsukihito managed to cover enough ground to strike at Koishi's left.
"Don't think that jest has gone unnoticed, youkai." It seems that the kitsune finally noticed that corrupt aura circling Koishi. At first, Tsukihito assumed it to be the kamui but the longer he stood before her presence, the faster he realized.
no subject
She didn't react to the charge. At least, apparently. Though the attack was a different story. She sidestepped and thrust her claw toward the sword, catching it between the hardened prongs and... it stopped. Koishi's entire arm shivered with the impact. But the sword didn't even scratch the material. Whatever it was it was harder than any stone or metal forged on earth.
What's more the movement seemed almost instinctive. Precise and frighteningly quick but without any disciplined form.
"You've just noticed? I've been very honest about my nature as a satori. Or did you think I was bluffing? I can't lie anymore. Not after I lost my mind reading." She raised her chin, twisting her wrist and hopping back, sliding into a more ready stance. "You smell like a fox. You should know that your tricks can't work on me so focus your strength on the fight."
Again she didn't attack. She was far more tense now. Caution, perhaps?
no subject
A slight growl escapes Tsukihito as he tries to force the blade forward. It's wedged in between those hard prongs, completely still. The kitsune let's out a frustrated hiss as he jerks the sword out of the kamui's grasp. "What is the meaning of this?" He mutters more to himself than to Koishi. "It's harder than any stone---" Tsukihito trails off once the girl speaks, his gaze hot with rage.
"Do you think I would dishonor this fight by pulling childish tricks upon you?" He snarls. "Fox or not, I have my honor to consider!" Tsukihito states as he rushes forth with a series of powerful strikes. He's swiping at that awful suit of hers, trying in vain to see if his sword can pierce it.
Wow that's a bad roll
"Ah-?"
There was a faint sound. Something grating. And a splash of blood. The blade had sliced clean through the tip of her right shoulder. The cut was so clean it had barely registered until it was already done. It wasn't the sword. Or the suit. Just whatever that metal was...
She rushed back, fast, taking to the air higher now while she caught her breath. The outfit was undulating. It was a living thing. And the movements seemed more than a little unpleasant for Koishi. It didn't last unfortunately. The sliced off piece was already flying back to re-join the rest of the outfit.
"That hurt. A lot. Was that sword forged by oni?"
She didn't give him much time to respond, firing a psychic lance of pain and despair before diving back down into melee range, swinging her blades.
