So! I had this random question I kinda have been thinking about asking some of us visitors from other realm type people for a little bit, and thought I'd ask. Sorry if this has already come up like a million times, but...

... Well, what are some of the legends on your world like? Like, mythology and heroes and stuff? I wish I could read about some of these things, but I probably can't, so I gotta ask you guys instead!

Also, uh, does anyone know how to, er, un-fry an electrical socket?

Considering one of the weaker demons I've faced was a giant spider scorpion thing made of molten lava with an obsidian exoskeleton... yeah, demons are kinda scary. But really the scariest demons are the ones that can pass as human.

... And I thought the Deathstalker was bad... You must be really good at hunting them down if you can handle that and live.

Being half demon gives me a bit of an edge on that. The collection of toys I've gathered over the years helps too.

Whoa. That must give you a pretty seriously large Aura...

...Not quite sure what kind of aura you're talking about. In my world, Aura's are just made up feelings self-proclaimed 'psychics' use to con you out of your money.

Oh. Right. That makes sense that'd be different too. Where I'm from, Auras exist in all living beings, but when they're big enough to be really measurable, that's when you have a potential Huntress. It helps protect the wearer from blows and powers our unique Semblances. You can see how I'd make that mistake. Kinda?

S'all good, things work differently in all worlds and considering our collection, something like that's bound to happen. Though I can pretty definitively say I don't have any aura, at least by that definition. I've been impaled more times than I care to count.

Eh, you learn to block it out after the fourth time. ...But I don't recommend you try it.

Yeah, but... I'll. Definitely keep to my way of doing things, I think. High Caliber Sniper-Scythe and all.

Sniper-scythe? That's not something I've seen before. How's that work?

Well, it requires a lot of mechanics and is powered using special Dust bullets, thankfully I can get those here even though they're a resource that not a lot of worlds have. The core mechanism is six distinct pieces, which- [Dante, please stop Ruby before she gets to the ten-minute mark at an uncontrolled speed of talking of rambling about Crescent Rose and all its components. The important thing is, she is very into this weapon, and she's kind of hyperspecialized in using it which is about the only reason it works.]

[Dante makes no move to try and stop her, and in fact tilts his head and leans in as he listens, hanging on every word. It's almost as if Ruby's found a kindred spirit.]

...Fascinating. I've never heard of anything like that without it being demon made. I'd love to see it in action sometime.

I'd love to see what your weapon is like as well, actually! You have to have something pretty crazy to handle the kinds of stuff you've described, right?

My toys aren't nearly as impressive at first glance. Your stuff sounds very mechanical in nature while my stuff is very much not. Even the manufactured stuff is sorta... alive.

... Like, possessed by the spirits of your fallen allies or something awesomely melodramatic like that?

I mean... demons are a dramatic sort. They're not possessed by spirits of fallen allies... they're more physical manifestations of the souls of powerful demons.

[He shifts in his chair to give a good view of the fleshy demon blade mounted on the wall behind him.]

... Welp, that is exactly as awesome as it is terrifying, which is very difficult for high levels of either.

That's demons for ya. Though my old man is the most dramatic of 'em. Appearance wise, the rest look fairly tame really.

Not any more. They're dead dead. I've got 'em under lock and key so htey're not going to fall into the wrong hands or anything.

I take this stuff very seriously, despite all indication to the opposite. That said, if I didn't keep 'em around, I'd probably not have survived some encounters. The stuff I deal with plays for keeps.

Eh, comes with the territory. Besides, it's good exercise and if I weren't doing what I do, I'd go nuts from boredom.
