[Greetings, citizens of Genessia! Your viewscreens are now full of HANDSOME. That's Captain Hammer right there, smiling beatifically in front of his shiny jet in his secret base. Where is the base? You don't know. It's secret.]

Gentlemen! Ladies! Assorted other nongendered beings! First, allow me to express my thanks for your support, and your patience. The city has accepted my offer to volunteer as Genessia's City Guardian, and I've been officially instated this afternoon. From this point onward, I will be serving as your protector, your guide, and your confidant. If any of you are troubled or harried, you have but to contact me, and I will be there. Now!

[He begins to take a stroll, and the camera moves with him as he gestures and explains.]

I understand that many of you come from different backgrounds and different cultures. Naturally there will be some clashes regarding what's acceptable citizen behavior, and what is not. First and foremost, if you have any doubts, ask me. Better to be safe and informed than punched in the face, ha!

[It's so funny, guys!]

For now, let's stick with the very basics. No wanton destruction of public or private property, no murdering, no assaulting, no kidnapping, no crocs, no stealing. Pretty easy. I know some of you are hotheaded and that arguments may come to blows, and that's fine. If you BOTH want to fight, feel free, so long as you don't hit anyone else or blow up buildings or anything like that. But know this.

[He stops and points at the camera.]

I don't tolerate outright villainy. And I don't trust those of you who say you're reformed. Prove it. Otherwise, I will be watching.

[Hammer's face is actually deadly serious, with none of that happy-go-lucky charm he was oozing just a moment ago. But after a few moments of silence to make sure he gets the point across, he goes back to his big ol' grin.]

Since I know some of you are still looking for a job, I want to make it known that I am hiring sidekicks, and possibly a secretary to take calls while I'm out fighting crime. If you're interested, give me a call, we'll set up an interview.

[Milla has found at least a place to eat. She remembers pizza from her travels with Jude and the others - though Genessia's certainly has a certain... flavour to it. It's hard to explain, and she knows that the food is bad for her figure, but it's just so... good! But she politely wipes her mouth with a napkin before she responds to Captain Hammer's message. She has at least discovered how to do that.]

I suppose first of all, congratulations are in order. A guardian's responsibility sounds like a heavy burden to bear. If I am correct, I believe a guardian acts as a protector to the people?

How very noble of you. [She doesn't sound patronizing. Her tone is courteous, polite, and well-spoken.] Had I any more inclination I would have taken such a position myself... though I admit, I am just learning where it is I am, exactly.

[She's a looker. But he can also tell that she's intelligent and respectable. In short, she's not interested in him. She might be later, though, and that's a possibility he likes.]

It seems this city could stand to have a protector on patrol more often.

[This man seems very polite himself, which is good. Though his projected respect does have a hint of... arrogance. That is fine to Milla, however... assuming he can back it up. Still, she smiles. For the moment his idea of protecting innocent people is a pleasant one.]

If the weather is any indication, I believe you may be right. I've only been caught in a blizzard like this one once in my lifetime. At least so far.

[She seems to shift her stance a little, but since she's holding the communicator, he can only really see her face and little else.] I have a question. Genessia is not a place I have ever heard of before... and it seems I'm not on Rieze Maxia or Elympios. Do the people here know of Maxwell?

[It seems a long shot, even to her. Spirits don't seem to be much of a presence here.]

[He draws his head back a little, his expression perplexed. Maxwell? What the hell is a Maxwell?]

...The coffee?

Very well, I'll consider that response to mean "no."

[Well, at least this assures her she's somewhere very, very far from home. To not know of Maxwell? Unfathomable.]

It's possible someone else might know. Other people can get dragged here from the same world. What's a Maxwell, anyway?

Maxwell, in the simplest terms, is a deity. He is the ruler of the spirit realm, who watches over both spirits and humans, ensuring they live in harmony and maintain a precise balance. Where I come from, humans admire Maxwell, and some even worship him.

To hear that you don't know of Maxwell assures me that I am far from home.

Yeah, probably. But we all are, so you know.

[He shrugs. Hammer's never been the religious sort.]

Good luck finding a synagogue, though.

Awesome that you got the position and all that... Wish I knew sooner though. I was planning already to work with Harry as a deputy guardian over in Everglade.

Not to worry. I'm pretty much invincible, so there's no need for concern.

[Not quite what Jaune was getting at, but no matter.]

Training, is it? Good for you! I can give you lessons as well if you want to speed it up.

[Jaune laughs a little. Invincible? Can anyone even be invincible? But it's endearing how Hammer makes it about him... It's just a misunderstanding of what Jaune was trying to say.]

Oh yeah, I guess if Harry doesn't need my help one day I could give you a hand. Something tells me though that guy's going to keep me pretty busy... But hey, I SO have to see that secret base sometime!

[Sure you can see it...when you're a chick that Hammer wants to impress, so probably never. Still, the kid helped get him the base in the first place.]

Well, maybe someday. I need to know if you're able to keep its location secure; it's a SECRET base, after all.

[Placing a hand over his heart, he raises his other hand as if to take an oath.] I'm the best secret-keeper in Vale!

[In other words, he's a great liar.]

Ha. We'll see about that.

[In other words, he's not convinced, but he still thinks you're an amusing potential sidekick.]

I don't have to prove anything.

[Not that he's really all that reformed, if at all, but yeah.]
