[The normally poised and controlled Lydia is very much not what anyone is getting in this video. In fact it seems to be turning on after having been thrown across the room and being returned by someone that isn't Lydia given she's currently snarling something in some foreign tongue while throwing a vase at a wall off screen. That's... not... great. Probably.]
Eddie. [The word is strained, attempted to be something other than rage filled as she's taking the device to perch it on a nearby table which finally shows the Zoroark who's darting off to the side almost immediately. But the vision of her is clear enough, her normal clothing but there's bits of skin seeming to disappear with crackling black electricity almost with the briefest moments of what seems to be bones. Mostly in her balled fists and various other parts of her body that are exposed. Odd.
She's sucking in a deep breath that sounds more like a hiss, teeth almost bared in an attempt at a smile that is far more vicious than it has any right to be.]
Whoever took my brother, I demand you return him right this moment or I will find you and you will not like the consequences of your actions.
This whole place has done nothing but prove to me time and time again that there's no reason to trust anyone here. There never was, but many of you have shown me just how horrible of people you are and how selfish you can be. Asking for things that are only for yourselves when you could literally do anything to help the others here or help anyone other than yourself. To improve lives, but no, nothing but filth to be found.
[Her rage has slowly subsided to a sneer, though nothing else about her has changed.]
Disgusting creatures. But the worst are always like cockroaches, aren't they?
[With that she's scooping the device up again to focus on just her face and that's just her whole face shifting from smooth pale skin to nothing but bone and red eyes.]
You took away the only damn thing I gave a shit about here and expect me to just roll over and accept it? You clearly don't know who I am. [And off that device goes. She... might have lost her composure a little.]

I hope you find your brother.
Thank... you?
[He shrugs, looking a little uncomfortable.]
This is the second time I've lost him. And I lost a brother before him back home. Needless to say it's a... touchy subject.
[His voice is quiet but sounds sincere.]
At least he can't die a third time here, I guess. [Though it's upsetting to think that going home means they are very much dead and gone.]
[He begins but suddenly shudders and clutches his head, uttering a small sob. Nope. Nope. Blocking those thoughts out... It takes him a moment to compose himself again, breathing hard.]
I take it something bad's happened to you back home?
[There's a clear wince; his eyes look dead for a moment as if he's shutting something out.]
I mean, yes, but... it seems like some sort of nightmare. Maybe I'm still dreaming.
A nightmare? I hate to tell you, darling, but none of this is a dream. If you'd rather talk about this in person, I do have a private residence out in Everglade. I specialize in... mitigating suffering, as it were.

I've only been here a couple of days. I guess I have to get used to things being ... not like home.
But like I said, if you want to take me up on that offer, I'm fairly easy to find in Everglade. Or if you just want a cup of tea or some such, it does get lonely sometimes. Or, well, it had and will become that way once more.
I'm fine.
[It's clear by his flat voice and expression that this is very far from the truth.]
Either way, the offer still stands if you change your mind, darling~

"Took?" Yeah right. If I had to look at your bitchy face all the time I'd leave too!
[Sorry Lyds angry is not a great look for you.]

Re: [AnonText]
Then I'd have to look at it. Not tempted. Nice of you to leave it out though.
Go bother someone else little ant~

That sure is... something. Something deeply alarming, in fact, and Cassian watches the meltdown with growing unease, which soon enough turns to alarm. He knows what Lydia is capable of, he knows who he is - and he knows what other citizens of Everglade have deemed acceptable temper tantrums upon losing loved ones.
He isn't wholly without empathy when he responds, certainly too concerned to be gloating as he feels it would be within his right to do. After all the harm she has caused others, she is due to have some inflicted on her in his book, but pointing that out wouldn't be deescalating. ]
I take it you are speaking of your brother.
video
In fact she's fully baring her teeth at him and there's the glow of red of those eyes instead of the normal mortal facade she tends to put on.]
No fucking shit, you absolute fucking moron.
Re: video
So he just gives her a pointedly bored look. ]
I just wanted to voice my concern.
video
You and I both know that's a lie.
Re: video
Would you prefer I were gloating, Lydia? I think not.
That's an interesting ability, miss.
Deep breaths, Lydia, calm down. You already slipped past that you weren't what you said you had been in the past, no need to let this get further to you.
She's pointing the screen away from her and towards a wall for now as she's settling her appearance again, though her voice is easily heard.]
That's what you got out of all this?
[Sorry, Lydia. TL;DL. He tuned out the ranting in favour of watching something that was more interesting to him.]
What kind of magic is that?
Which part? The bones existing like that or the skin disappearing? There's two different answers.
[He can guess what general branch of magic caused it, but he's never seen someone do that with magic before. It's genuinely fascinating for him.]
