A: Zamasu vs. The Hologram: Bad Lifechoices
[The look on Zamasu's face is one between surprise, annoyance and confusion when he makes his way outside of The Bay. After he has checked the items inside the box he cannot make any other conclusion that someone is expecting him to live here for a while.
As if he were a mortal's equal.
At first he thought that Gowasu wanted to test him. That the old man thought it would be a good lesson for him to stay amongst mortals so he could understand them better. But alas, even something aggravating like that is not as horrible as the truth.
Kidnapping.
So allow him to glower at the yapping mortal on that hologram because, honestly, that is downright sinful. And he is not the type of god who takes kindly to the sins of mortals. And especially not when said sins are aimed at his godly person. Gods are above mortals to begin with.
And anyone can see how his right hand starts to glow all up until the moment it has the shape of a sword. He is quite ready to destroy this mortal and the thing she calls 'Schnee Company'. Whether if it is a good idea? Probably not.]
B: Flying around, trying to get home, finds Everglade instead
[Zamasu thought he had mastered the art of teleportation. Well, if he did it sure is not working here. And flying around at high speed is not making things any better for him. There are just cities and smaller towns. All tell-tale signs of advanced mortal life.
Absolutely disgusting.
Finally he lands on the rooftop of a higher building that stands in one of the smaller towns. It is getting dark outside and the streets seem to get foggier with every second that passes. It is the most quiet town he has seen so far and finally he decides to jump down, landing on his feet with absolute ease.
Zamasu finds it difficult to sense anything and for a moment he just stands there, looking around himself…]

Zamasu. Apparentice-kai to Gowasu, Supreme-kai of Universe 9, right?
1/2
2/2
Tenth universe. [A pause.] How do you know my name? I have never met you. [In fact, he has never really truly met a mortal.
And now he has he finds them even more disgusting than they normally are...]
Re: 2/2
No, you haven't. Yet. But I know you---and whether you want to believe it or not... This place brings people from all places and times.
[Confidently voiced at least, and Trunks might let a bare hint of smirk come to his face.]
How frustrating it must be, that you've been kidnapped just like all the rest of us.
no subject
Then how do you know me? [When the other mentions places and times there might be something there. Even though Gowasu hasn't explained much about time to him, it could be that time was an issue here...] How have you met me?
[Is he smirking? Zamasu's eyes narrow further. And, yes, this is extremely frustrating but he is not going to take the bait. He merely glares at the other.]
no subject
I had hoped I wouldn't ever see you again, but here's all you need to know. In a version of your future, we'll meet--mostly when you decide to enact a genocide against all mortals.
[That smirk is gone, and it's only through sheer will that Trunks is holding back any venom.]
Gowasu feels he failed you, and in that universe--you murder him. And then murder any other Kai in your way.
[His eyes narrow.]
I'm one of those who stops you, but in the end it takes Zen-Oh erasing you and the universe.
[Okay, maybe some of the anger and hate is coming through. And a long long pause, Trunks trying hard to wrestle with his emotions. What he wants to do, and what he knows he should do.]
Think of being here as a second chance. I'm trying to...
[Well, what he should do is winning out. For now.]
Consider carefully--you're stuck here with all of us just the same. Even if you never come to view mortals with anything but disdain---leave them be. Unless one attacks you, let them be. You don't have to help them--but recognize OUR right to exist. Whether you like it or not.
[It's a warning.]
no subject
What?
[Now it is true that he hates mortals and it is even more true that he wants to see them perish. But he also knows what he is going to become and he also knows what his duties will be. Mortals will always be a part of those duties.
He takes a step closer.]
What?
no subject
I'm not entirely sure what pushes you over the edge--I've been here for about 6 months or so now, and then it was a whirlwind trying to stop you. But a version of you spent a year--A YEAR--systematically hunting down all mortals on my world. Trying to kill me especially... Claiming we have no right to exist.
[It is a visible deep-breath taken, trying to rein his temper in and halting that rising-ki.]
But if you're here, you've been kidnapped just like all of us. And this place--these 5 cities, can be a second chance. And as much as I'd love nothing more than to ensure you won't be come the threat I've seen--I respect the laws here.
So no matter how much you hate mortals--leave them be. IF--
[And Trunks can't keep the scornful disregard out of his voice here.]
--If you can bring yourself to do so, at least try and change your view.

A moment, mortal.
[That is a start. And he has never really denied the fact that he can be quite the misanthropist but it was nothing that could lead to all of that. Zamasu knew how to live with those thoughts and he knew how to be patient as well.]
I can see why a future me would want to kill you. You are an extremely careless filthy mortal. You might have learned that I do not take insults lightly.
[Even though that old man could be annoying at times and even though pushing a trolley around with tea gets aggravating after 456323 times, he would never even dream of ending his master's life. Let along the other Kais.]
I need to leave mortals be? They approach me holding knives and others are filthy demons. And there is you...
no subject
[That smirk is back.]
Have they attacked you? If not, then leave them be. Because we're all stuck in these 5 realms together. So, like it or not--we have to try and coexist. On the practical side of things, you're also outnumbered by mortals here, and mortals are also the ones who have access to whatever information we do have about these cities.
[Be smart Zamasu, and think about what that all means.]
no subject
And the only way he can reply is:]
And you are truly sure that that will be my future?
no subject
I'm assured it is, I've experienced it myself. I would hope perhaps that things could be different here. I'd hope you'd do respect to your fellow Kais if nothing else, by not becoming such a monster, even if you care nothing for mortals.
[Hope for it yes, but Trunks doubted it was likely. He'd be on guard. And he'd never forget what the other had done to him, to his world, and his loved ones.
Soon as Trunks got home he was going to hug his mother, hard. Then warn her, and Mai, and Bulla, and all of his friends.]
no subject
That is nonsense. [It is the only conclusion he can make and it pisses him off that this mortal comes at him to dump some sort of fantastic story on him.] What you say. A mortal cannot decide the future of a god. His future lies in his own hands.
And I do not think you are in a place to tell me how I should treat the other Kais.
[Gowasu trained him very well, thank you very much.]
Now leave.
no subject
I'm not trying to decide your future--you're right, I don't have that power. I can only tell you what I've seen and experienced myself. Twice. So I hope you're different, but I'm not counting on it.
Prove me wrong, Zamasu. I need some pleasant news and surprises for a change.
[Gonna walk away now. Walk, not fly, because he's unwilling to give Zamasu any more information unwillingly.]
7000 years later
[Oh, you've done it now, Trunks.]
...How you are granted with the potential for greatness, yet it is all for nothing. All I see you do is destroy, letting it go to waste because destroying all that has been created is all you can truly do.
It is not surprising that a future me might dislike you.
