Graverobber hasn't been to Jack's Bar before, so he stands outside the front of it feeling mildly out of place and idly just scrolling through his device while he waits. He's dressed somewhat nicer than usual -- his hair's been brushed and he's wearing non-ratty versions of his normal clothes -- but he's still identifiable himself. Which in this case means a black shirt, long coat, and jeans that haven't been ripped anywhere.

He'd heard of Faye before the personal ad, but only in passing and really just in the context of her working at Fortuna Palace. Apart from that, he doesn't know much, including why she has a friend (?) scouting dates for her. But, hey, a night out can't hurt. Besides, only way to know more about someone was to talk, so some drinks and chatter didn't seem like a bad way to spend time.

Graverobber takes a sip off of his own drink, rolling it over his tongue for a bit before swallowing. "It's not bad," he says. "Kinda sweet. But it's definitely got alcohol in it and they ain't skimping on it, and that's what matters, ain't it?"

"And what makes it even more delicious is that you're paying." Faye grins at him with a wink - after two large glasses of wine she is feeling far more relaxed than she did earlier in the evening. It helps that he has made this less formal and terrifying than it might have been. She takes the tiny umbrella out, twirling it in her fingers as she takes another drink. "So, when you're not taking pretty women out drinking, what else do you do for fun?"

He huffs another laugh. "That would add to the flavor, wouldn't it," he jokes, before taking another swig.

Graverobber thinks on that and shrugs. "Kind of still figuring that out," he says, "The city is not, exactly, the type of circumstances I had back home. So I'm still sorting it out a bit. I watch movies sometimes and listen to rock music and chat with people on my device. I spend a lot of time trying out mixing drinks for the bar at work, so I have new stuff for people. Things like that. How 'bout you?"

"The usual - a drink here and there. The shooting range. And I haven't been to the casino since I quit so I should swing by and win some poker some time, maybe check out your new drinks..." Note that she says 'win', not 'play'. Faye lifts her glass and swirls the remainder of her cocktail around, "I like to look after myself too. Much easier to relax when you're not a wanted woman." She smirks over the top of her glass then nearly finishes her drink.

"If you stop by, I'll fix you something nice," he says, definitely catching that mention of 'win'. Though her last sentence catches his attention even more, and he quirks an eyebrow while he sips his drink. "Ah, a lady on the run from the law. What'd you do that got you put up on wanted posters, then?" he asks with a grin.

On the run from the law was putting it mildly she felt. Faye bites her lip as she considers for a second how to answer, then shrugs and waves a hand, "Lying, cheating..." As a start. "And I owed a lot of money. I have debt back home I'll never pay off. Ah - but it's not mine. Some dirtbag asshole tricked it on me." She frowns and shakes her head, then drains her glass.

He frowns at that, listening attentively. "That blows," he says sympathetically. "How'd he trick it onto you, if you don't mind me asking?"

Since her drink was finished, Faye's fingers just gently played with the stem of her glass. "I guess I actually thought he loved me. Somehow... But he didn't give a damn. Died and left millions in debt to me. Turns out he faked his death too - I'd just been his scapegoat plan all along." She shrugs, but given the way she stares at the glass and the table in front of her it seems that maybe she hasn't forgiven herself entirely for her weakness.

"Sorry to hear," he says sympathetically. Because, yeah, that's one fucking hell of an emotional roller coaster. He's not exactly foreign to the idea of playing loose with debts and money, but that sounded like an entirely different level of cruelty. "Did you ever get back at him at all?"

"Damn straight I did!" Faye looks back up at him, holding his gaze with a fire in her eyes. "Got the bastard for some other shit he was doing. Took the bounty money too! He's been put away for a long time. Besides..." Faye plays coyly with her hair, "He got fat and ugly..." She grins as she gestures to herself. Clearly she doesn't think she's gone the wrong way.

He grins a little at that. "So by that point, you were way out of his league," he says. "Good that you got the dick. He can rot away being pissed off and oh so lonely. Did you get the debts taken off of ya, too?"

"Sweetie..." Faye pauses to give her hair a little toss, "I was always out of his league." But she grins all the same, appreciating the comment. "The money...didn't quite work out like that. He was worth next to nothing." Faye doesn't seem quite so pleased about this, and she leans back a little as she shrugs, "By that point I had my own bounty for all the other shit I'd pulled..."

"Fair enough," he says, grinning in agreement at her assessment of herself. Though his expression does shift to something a little more curious at that second part. "Did you now? What was the bounty on you for?"

"For the lying, cheating, scamming, and thieving..." She is caught between being pretty pleased with herself for all these skills, but also aware that maybe she shouldn't be so boastful about it. She picks up her purse and looks through it before pulling out a small packet of cigarettes, "You smoke?"

"Nah, but go right ahead," he says. Graverobber seems pleased in turn at her list of feats, and almost more at ease at the fact that she's admitting to them so casually. "That's a nice laundry list of sins they got you for. But I'm guessing they never caught someone so skilled at mischief, right?"

Maybe it was rude, but he said he didn't mind, so she sparks up her cigarette and takes a small inhale. "Yeah. Sure is." She turns her head away to breathe out a small line of smoke. "Me?" Faye laughs and shakes her head, "Not even close. But they tried. That's for sure. I has six million on my head."

He lets out a low, impressed whistle at that. "Six million? Jesus," he says, eyebrows up. "That's a nice amount of coin. Must've got a lot of people after you with that amount of dollars."

Which makes it all the more impressive that she's stayed out of their hands.

Faye can't help but grin at that whistle he gives. She is kind of proud of her track record. "I like to cause a little bit of chaos, from time to time." She winks again as she takes another drag from her cigarette. "But I guess I've been quite a good girl since I got here."

"Really now? Not even a little bit of the old mischief while you've been here? Shame," he says, grinning and clearly teasing as he takes another sip off his drink.

"Hmm...Could be. Or could just be that I haven't got caught." She grins right back at him as she finishes her cigarette, crushing it into a small tin ashtray. "A good girl can't be good all the time, hmm...?"

"Wouldn't know. I don't seem to spend a whole lotta time around good girls," he says with a teasing grin. "Seems like I always wind up around the baddest girls around."

"Oh, really? Then it must be so refreshing to be spending time with such a sweet, innocent girl like me." The way she tilts and smiles could make someone really believe that she is such a good girl after all.

"Oh, of course," he teases. "I could hardly imagine a sweet girl like you getting into any trouble. All you could ever do is help the poor, where long-sleeved clothing, and read a prayer book."

Faye kept up her sweet smile and fluttered her long dark eyelashes at him. "Of course." Then she waved a hand at herself, inviting a look at her cleavage and her legs long beneath the short dress. "I just ooze sweetness and innocence. Don't I?"

He huffs out a small laugh. "Oh, absolutely," he says, still grinning, and maybe eyeing her boobs and legs as she indicates them. (Hey, she pointed them out, it'd be wrong to ignore them.) "Just as virtuous as a nun at chapel, you are."
