✞ first bite; the dhampir awakes ( action )
genessia city
[ Waking within a coffin isn't anything new to him. One might even say that to eventually one day wake to an entirely different world would not be so far a stretch for him to experience. However, to be taken so abruptly from his comrades and mission to put an end to his father's madness, that is new and potentially frustrating, let alone confusing. Add to that the fact that the coffin itself had been surrounded by water (a nightmare in itself) and, well, it had been a rather trying moment for him to get himself out of that situation, but he had, with minor injury involved. Thankfully.
The dynamics of this world are different and foreign to him, the device he has been given almost magical with the way it functions. However, as always with keeping himself calm and composed no matter the situation, it's only after he has come to learn that it is only him and that neither Trevor nor Sypha have accompanied him here, that he makes his way throughout the city.
It is both during day and twilight that he will be found around the city, wishing to learn as much as he can about his new surroundings and what this might mean for him given his mission has now been placed on hold. Pan's Grocery is one place he ends up and it's clear with the look on his face that he hasn't any idea what much of this stuff that lines the shelves are. The Library is another place he finds himself, having an affinity for the older books that are shelved and always one for obtaining more knowledge. He's already grabbed a few books that have caught his interest, having them neatly stacked beside him to the point where they reach just a touch higher than his own height. Careful not to knock them over? The Garden Park is where he can also be found (though not near the pond), keeping to himself mostly on a bench under a colouring tree, trying to figure out how to properly work this device he's been given. So long as you have no qualms about the sword which he keeps by his side or how unnaturally pale he looks, he will not shun anyone who comes near. He might even appreciate some help with this device. ]
everglade
[ It's no surprise that he would end up within this city, is it? Come dusk or midnight itself, he will be found wandering the foggy streets of the city, not at all looking perturbed by its so-called reputation it seems to have. Although, should one seek to challenge him for whatever reason that may be, it will be with a hand on the hilt of his blade at his side that he offers an "I wouldn't" as means of a warning. Otherwise, The Rabbit's Foot is one place which has piqued his interest given the so-called essentials for one living within this city it claims to have; it's a place which he will be found looking around, if even for idle curiosity. As with the library in Genessia City, Periodicals and Paperbacks is a place he can be found within, the tips of fingers gently caressing over the spine of each and every book that catches his eye, perhaps even intending to purchase a few that he holds within an arm. He will be around the Cloak and Dagger but doesn't enter the shop for whatever reason. Otherwise, it's Mystic's Alley where you might find him making his way through. ]

A devil for your enemy? Seems as though you have your hands full with such a plight.
[ The cool mists that surround them and this city gently touch at his skin, though he seems unfazed by such a thing where others might find it spooky or possibly even concerning for what might happen to lurk within the shadows so to speak. ]
You are at least well on your guard should you run into this devil or otherwise.
[ After all, he did come to call him out. ]
no subject
Enough. [Augustine commands with a raised palm.] While you and I are indeed one of the same in terms of beast, I doubt the similarities continues.
[A rather haughty assumption but Augustine subtlety admits that they're both "monsters" in their own right. Much like with D, Augustine means to test this man.]
I'm Augustine G. Vlad Tepes, a mage hailing from the Kingdom of Ranslyvania, a son of House Drăculești. [He forsakes mentioning much more than that out of humility's sake.] Much like everyone else, I was lured here to Genessia by the spirits call. This world has lured many here from various places and timelines only to have them converge here within this realm.
[While he's still quite on guard, Augustine does seem relaxed enough to lean against a nearby wall. With his arms crossed upon his chest, he continues.]
Surely you've spoken with the hologram at the Bay. Far too many forsake her.
no subject
Yes, I have.
[ Listened to "the hologram" after he had managed to get himself out of that... situation that was the Bay. ]
I am Adrian Tepes, known to those back within my world as Alucard, son of Vlad Tepes... Dracula.

[His voice pierces through the stillness of the night, an accident on his part but this revelation catches him off guard. Another Tepes here? This one the alleged son of Dracula? Judging from the shock upon Augustine's pale face, he hadn't expected that.]
...Is that true? [His shock eases some as he looks Adrian over.] Another spoken briefly about Dracula and his son but never did I think I would meet you here.
[Augustine is still slightly on edge but if what Soma told him is true, then Adrian is more friend than foe. This is good, very good.]
You are one of many hailing from the Tepes line but you are the son of the "Devil" I've mentioned.
[Yes, Alucard. Your father is here within this very city.]
no subject
He is my father and while we share the same blood, I am not him.
[ For some reason, he feels he needs to make that point early on, let that be known and made clear. ]
What is it that you mean with others from the line? There are more here?
no subject
[A sigh escapes the mage as he recall his past encounters with the Dark Lord. It hasn't been pleasant to say the least. Even with his ties to the Tepes name, Dracula has made it quite clear that anyone who opposes him will face death. Trying to speak reason with him is a fool's errand. Augustine learned that pretty quickly.]
There's at least...two others that I know about claiming to hail Tepes line. [He answers after a moment of thought.] One who is indeed the human counterpart of Dracula's fictional legacy and the other is his...reincarnated self.
[He won't mention about the "other" Alucard he met months ago. That one had since vanished.]
In my world, Dracula is my...grandfather.
no subject
Although, come to further explain who his father happens to be to him, he might raise his brows in mild surprise at that, having not expected to hear anything of the sort. ]
Your grandfather.
[ A curious way to look at his father yet one he can't quite picture. ]
The idea of that is rather difficult for me to imagine.
no subject
[Augustine admits with a slight frown. He never knew much about his family but he knows about their legacy. It's just a shame they weren't close due to petty reasons.]
Rest assured we probably aren't truly related due to our dimensional differences. Although, I find it interesting how the Tepes name seem to exist everywhere.
no subject
As am I.
[ For he hadn't even known such a thing as other worlds could even exist outside his own. To think back on it now, of course it seems possible. ]
I will not extend a hand of trouble to you lest I find there reason to be but... I do not find that there will be.
no subject
[Besides, Augustine doubts he has much to worry about in regards to Adrian here. While he's not overly fond of his presence in this realm, he's grateful the man is nothing like his cruel father. That is a great blessing within itself, one that allows him to sigh in relief. Still, what worries him is this current influx of vampires of late. It's interesting to say the least.]
Well, I won't keep you any longer. There's much of Genessia you have yet to explore.
[Out of all the cities, Everglade is his least favorite.]
You should give visit to Fayren, Alucard. It's rustic but mystical charm will tempt you to stay awhile.
no subject
Perhaps I shall. I could use some rustic charm as opposed to questionable mists.
[ It's with a nod, that he turns some. ]
Until our paths cross again then.
