[ Waking within a coffin isn't anything new to him. One might even say that to eventually one day wake to an entirely different world would not be so far a stretch for him to experience. However, to be taken so abruptly from his comrades and mission to put an end to his father's madness, that is new and potentially frustrating, let alone confusing. Add to that the fact that the coffin itself had been surrounded by water (a nightmare in itself) and, well, it had been a rather trying moment for him to get himself out of that situation, but he had, with minor injury involved. Thankfully.

The dynamics of this world are different and foreign to him, the device he has been given almost magical with the way it functions. However, as always with keeping himself calm and composed no matter the situation, it's only after he has come to learn that it is only him and that neither Trevor nor Sypha have accompanied him here, that he makes his way throughout the city.

It is both during day and twilight that he will be found around the city, wishing to learn as much as he can about his new surroundings and what this might mean for him given his mission has now been placed on hold. Pan's Grocery is one place he ends up and it's clear with the look on his face that he hasn't any idea what much of this stuff that lines the shelves are. The Library is another place he finds himself, having an affinity for the older books that are shelved and always one for obtaining more knowledge. He's already grabbed a few books that have caught his interest, having them neatly stacked beside him to the point where they reach just a touch higher than his own height. Careful not to knock them over? The Garden Park is where he can also be found (though not near the pond), keeping to himself mostly on a bench under a colouring tree, trying to figure out how to properly work this device he's been given. So long as you have no qualms about the sword which he keeps by his side or how unnaturally pale he looks, he will not shun anyone who comes near. He might even appreciate some help with this device. ]

[ It's no surprise that he would end up within this city, is it? Come dusk or midnight itself, he will be found wandering the foggy streets of the city, not at all looking perturbed by its so-called reputation it seems to have. Although, should one seek to challenge him for whatever reason that may be, it will be with a hand on the hilt of his blade at his side that he offers an "I wouldn't" as means of a warning. Otherwise, The Rabbit's Foot is one place which has piqued his interest given the so-called essentials for one living within this city it claims to have; it's a place which he will be found looking around, if even for idle curiosity. As with the library in Genessia City, Periodicals and Paperbacks is a place he can be found within, the tips of fingers gently caressing over the spine of each and every book that catches his eye, perhaps even intending to purchase a few that he holds within an arm. He will be around the Cloak and Dagger but doesn't enter the shop for whatever reason. Otherwise, it's Mystic's Alley where you might find him making his way through. ]

[ Honestly, it would make sense to him with that being the reason. While not a black sheep or cast aside, so he would like to believe, it is still difficult for him to face his father, especially with the act of patricide looming on the horizon. ]

Is that where you live then? In the castle?

Actually, I don't live zhere much to his annoyance. I choose to live vith one of my lovers und vork in Everglade. Zhough I do visit zhe castle on occasion.

[Hopefully the subject of patricide doesn't come up any time soon. Rip's... fond of her father. Enough so to level her gun at his enemies if she can and if they are not people she cares about.]

[ He would just as well not resort to such a method, given he does care for his father. But to see the sort of madness that he has allowed himself to sink into with his mother's death... he can't let him plunge the world into darkness, his mother wouldn't want it. ]

This city seems suited for those who are not human.

[ The dense fog, the so-called eerie feeling that can surround one passing through... compares to the other cities, this feels like places back home. ]

I suppose I will have to find a place at some point.

[ Considering one has no power over when they leave it seems. ]

[Rip had heard stories before she arrived of Dracula's madness and considering his opposition of her having lovers to begin with, Rip... had a feeling she could sympathize with him a little, even if she didn't completely agree with his methods.]

It iz. This city provides for our dietary needs, haz zhe perfect atmosphere und laws zhat help to keep vampires und ozher creatures safe. It's.. a paradise compared to ozher places I've been.

[She grins a little.]

To get your own place you're going to need money zo, finding a job iz a good start~. Depending on vat you vish to do, zhere are plenty of options about.

Now.. Dhampire, right? You feel too much like Augustine und D to be anyzhing else. Zo! You get to haf more of a variety in your diet zhan I do. Personally I zhink you're lucky in zhat regard.

[ And if not for that, he might not possess the sort of class and kindness that he clearly inherited from her and his upbringing. ]

I am not certain what sort of job I may find within this world.

[ Because he has never had to rely on such a thing for income before. ]

[She nodded slightly.]

Father's mentioned her in passing.. zo haf zome of zhe others. I never got a chance to meet her vhen she vas here.

[She could see that. If it were for the people currently in her life, she'd probably be more of a monster like she used to be.]

[Rip's just happy this isn't a world where she's had to fend for herself.]

It's not zhat hard since zhere are so many jobs available. But, I'd start vith zomething your comfortable doing~.

I vork as a security escort for a company in town, I know some of zhe others like Lancer und Remilia vork in law enforcement.

Or if you desire, zhere's museum vork over in one of zhe ozher cities.. Zhe point iz, zhere are options.

[ Perhaps it's something that can be used as a means of distraction this... finding a job and earning income for a place to live. Strange to think that something so normal and habitual for many is entirely new to him. ]

I suppose having options means I will simply have to look into them.

[ At some point, of course. ]

[She nodded and can't help but smile. It seems like lately, Rip's been acting as the vampire welcoming party for most of the newer arrivals whether their vampires or dhampires. Either way, she'd rather keep tabs on who was around and incidentally, who was related to who through blood or adoption just to know who not to piss off or who she might be more incline to defend if it comes down to that.

Family was family, even if they argued with each other.]

[She might be speaking from experience.]

[ To be fair, he had only given his chosen name due to the strife between he and his father. A point to be made that he is not and never will be his father nor share his beliefs of humans and humanity as a whole. That and, to hear his name spoken when it shall never be said again by his mother who so dearly loved him...

But when she explains her reasoning for wanting to know, he simply allows his gaze to linger on her for no longer than but a few seconds before he flicks it away and off to the side a little. ]

[Where Rip did agree with a lot of Dracula's beliefs, she's also learned over the years that blindly following someone else often lead to her death. So, she did tend to have her own perspective on humans in general. She preferred individuals compared to the masses and when it came to things she didn't agree on, Rip didn't have any problem opening her mouth and saying so. Not doing so has gotten her killed before and she didn't want to repeat those experiences ever again.]

Adrian.. zhe name suits you.

[She smiled as she took a few steps back and then twirled a bit to have her back to him. Somehow, she doubted he would be giving that version of his name out to others if he could help it.]

Vell, Adrian, shall ve explore or do you vish to go off on your own?

[And lets face it, she's probably going to be calling him little brother once he settles in.]

[ Her assumptions regarding his name would be correct, even if he never truly explains himself for it.

As she moves to step ahead, he remains there in his spot, a glance given to the sky above. ]

There is something I must do, though there is something I am curious about.

[ And he allows his gaze to fall back onto her. ]

The cavern in which I woke... that is the only place where those who come to this world arrive within?

[ Because he is still looking for his comrades, wondering if perhaps they have also found themselves here. ]

[ Rip paused and glanced back at him when he asked about the bay.]

As far as anyone knows, yes. Ve all arrive zhe same vay in zhe bay vith zhe same package und vatever else vas on us vhen ve vere taken. Vhy? Vaiting for someone?

[ Then it's as he thought. ]

Merely curious about where one might find those should they arrive within this world.

[ Gently, he gives a nod of his head as if meaning to slightly bow. ]

[She nodded slightly, her own curiosity both settled and piqued as well. Rip will definitely be keeping an eye on him in the future just for her own interests.]

Of course, family looks out for family und I am alvays happy to help und look out for ozher vampires. Some of zhem.. could really learn from zhe experiences of ozhers. Even Fazher.

[ There is a look that comes over him which is a little difficult to read but, perhaps it is intentional, hardly one to ever display much emotion to begin with. ]

I am certain our paths shall cross again, perhaps sooner rather than later.

[She noticed that look and where she didn't quite know what it meant, she's sure she'll figure it out eventually.]

[She smiles before heading back into the fog, humming softly as she does so.]
