✞ first bite; the dhampir awakes ( action )
genessia city
[ Waking within a coffin isn't anything new to him. One might even say that to eventually one day wake to an entirely different world would not be so far a stretch for him to experience. However, to be taken so abruptly from his comrades and mission to put an end to his father's madness, that is new and potentially frustrating, let alone confusing. Add to that the fact that the coffin itself had been surrounded by water (a nightmare in itself) and, well, it had been a rather trying moment for him to get himself out of that situation, but he had, with minor injury involved. Thankfully.
The dynamics of this world are different and foreign to him, the device he has been given almost magical with the way it functions. However, as always with keeping himself calm and composed no matter the situation, it's only after he has come to learn that it is only him and that neither Trevor nor Sypha have accompanied him here, that he makes his way throughout the city.
It is both during day and twilight that he will be found around the city, wishing to learn as much as he can about his new surroundings and what this might mean for him given his mission has now been placed on hold. Pan's Grocery is one place he ends up and it's clear with the look on his face that he hasn't any idea what much of this stuff that lines the shelves are. The Library is another place he finds himself, having an affinity for the older books that are shelved and always one for obtaining more knowledge. He's already grabbed a few books that have caught his interest, having them neatly stacked beside him to the point where they reach just a touch higher than his own height. Careful not to knock them over? The Garden Park is where he can also be found (though not near the pond), keeping to himself mostly on a bench under a colouring tree, trying to figure out how to properly work this device he's been given. So long as you have no qualms about the sword which he keeps by his side or how unnaturally pale he looks, he will not shun anyone who comes near. He might even appreciate some help with this device. ]
everglade
[ It's no surprise that he would end up within this city, is it? Come dusk or midnight itself, he will be found wandering the foggy streets of the city, not at all looking perturbed by its so-called reputation it seems to have. Although, should one seek to challenge him for whatever reason that may be, it will be with a hand on the hilt of his blade at his side that he offers an "I wouldn't" as means of a warning. Otherwise, The Rabbit's Foot is one place which has piqued his interest given the so-called essentials for one living within this city it claims to have; it's a place which he will be found looking around, if even for idle curiosity. As with the library in Genessia City, Periodicals and Paperbacks is a place he can be found within, the tips of fingers gently caressing over the spine of each and every book that catches his eye, perhaps even intending to purchase a few that he holds within an arm. He will be around the Cloak and Dagger but doesn't enter the shop for whatever reason. Otherwise, it's Mystic's Alley where you might find him making his way through. ]

Both.
[ Having only just arrived and within a world that is not his own in more ways than he would like. Although, given the current situation back home, perhaps it's best that this world not be so closely mirrored to his own. ]
This place is not like the markets from within my world. Everything is... brighter.
[ The lights, artificial and strange, as well as everything lined in aisles as they are... and there are the decorations, of course. ]
no subject
The florescent lights? Rather than natural? Hmm. Well, okay.. that’s okay, you’ll adjust. I’m not from here either but I’ve been here for a couple of months now.. so.. okay, next question.. what is your diet like? What do you eat? What do you like?
no subject
I do not believe your shop carries what my kind feast upon when we need to be satiated.
[ And it's with that, he looks back to the various boxes of cereal lined across the shelves. ]
What is it that you like to eat?
no subject
Well, not that kind.. I like a lot of different kinds of food.. um, but .. I can pretty much eat anything, I got a strong stomach, I guess.
Nothing beats a hot meal though. Pancakes with pineapple or bananas, crepes, pastries.. we have that stuff too if you like to make your own food. Or, if you don’t like to cook, you can get some frozen food that needs heating up.. that’s on a different aisle..
So what’s your kind? What kind of food do you need?
no subject
My kind drinks blood.
[ Perhaps a little too direct? But the truth, nonetheless. ]
no subject
Well, that’s okay.. here.. [ Sora licks his lips and pulls his phone out of his pocket. He’s quick on the gadget before he turns it over to the other. ] See there, that’s a blood bank.. vampires go there to get their food, and the rest of us go there to donate.. Is it .. only blood you drink?
[ He looks over the other, a sudden weight of sorrow hinges on his shoulders as he thinks about all the delicious food the vampires miss out on. ] Hey! Is it different, like.. when you drink from different people? Like is it .. um, sweet, or stale, or .. spicy? Maybe.. like.. somehow better from one person to the next?
no subject
Blood banks...
[ Words he says with a curiosity to his tone. To think they have these establishments so readily available within this world... how many vampires are there, he has to wonder.
His question, however, is a rather surprising one and he blinks in mild confusion for but a few seconds as he has... never been asked such a thing before. ]
This topic doesn't bother you in the least?
no subject
Nah, not really. There’s a lot of diversity here, I don’t know what it’s like in your world … but there’s a lot of order and um.. fairness for all kinds here, as far as I can tell anyway. I don’t really know what’ll be like for you, that is.
no subject
I suppose I shall come to discover that for myself.
[ Pausing briefly, ]
Thank you for the information.
no subject
I have another question. You may not need food, which is okay, but .. like, I mean, we sell shampoo and toothpaste… you do shower right? Or do you vampires .. like always look as good as you do?
no subject
[ Though he is not typically one to give his birth name, the one used to defy his father and show their difference in opinions concerning beliefs and humans is the one he shall typically give lest he know you a little better or find reason to disclose that information. ]
Are you typically not around my kind very much?
no subject
[ Sora twists his mouth and gives a small shrug. ] It's um.. So one time I was a vampire boy, sort of. It was on a previous world I went to before I came to Genessia.
I didn't do any vampire things, it was really more for looks than anything else!
no subject
What do you mean by vampire boy?
[ And what did he mean by for looks? ]
no subject
Uhhh, okay.. so, heh, before I came here I had traveled to a bunch of other different worlds… worlds where I even had to change the way I looked to fit in.. for example, I even went to Atlantica which is totally underwater and full of merpeople, right? So, I turned into a merperson.. I was able to swim, breathe, and .. yeah, all of that underwater.
The other world was a place called Halloween Town, it was full of ghosts, ghouls, zombies, skeletons, all live… -ish. To fit in a world like that, I couldn’t show up like .. how I am, human, so.. I was transformed into a vampire boy, complete with fangs and bat wings.. but I couldn’t fly and I didn’t bite anyone, it was just… for show.. but something more than a costume, it was done by magic and .. yeah.
no subject
So it was a disguise then.
[ Since he didn't seem to inherit, in a sense, any of the attributes that often came with being a vampire. ]
no subject
Ah, anyway.. I still needed to use potions and stuff to keep my health up and like, here... we have that too, but you know, we also have bandaids and stuff if you need it. So, like, do you need that too?
no subject
No, I don't require medical supplies. I am capable of healing on my own.
no subject
[ He wondered what that meant, but he didn't spend too much time wondering if it took like weeks to heal from a scratch or seconds. It was relative and all he knew was Alucard said he's got this. ]
What about ... toothpaste? You do brush your teeth? [ He's staring at the mouth, scrutinizing the lips as if he could see past them and evaluate just how well those ... fangs.. were cared for! ]
no subject
[ Still curious, though he looks a little confused as he stares to the bow with a slightly arched brow. ]
Are you really so concerned with my personal hygiene?
no subject
No, sorry.. we have other stuff too, not a lot of selection but we have blankets and towels too.
no subject
I'm sorry. I must seem ungrateful for the help you're wishing to provide me with.

If a speaker dressed in blue ever makes her way into this place, if you're able to let me know, that would help a great deal.
no subject
What do you mean speaker? Like just someone who speaks wearing blue?
no subject
Well, she does do that. But she is what is often referred to as a magician within my world. One who wields and commands magic.
