[Here's a face you might have seen a lot more of lately, given that she's one of the New Big Things on the modelling scene. Even Ann herself is not sure what's changed, but she's determined to make the most of it.

And of course, with Halloween coming up there's been a lot of call for costumed shoots as different stores compete for the buying public's attention. And that's what leads Ann to posting here, sat in what appears to be some sort of dressing room area with a rail full of different costumes behind her.

She's currently clad in a black catsuit, a headband with cat ears perched on her head - apparently Lady Feline is still one of the most popular options around here. Which would also explain why she has a whip in her hands - and based on her grip, it's not the first time she's held one.]

So, here's a question. Does anyone have any skills that people automatically make assumptions about? Because I think I've already run out of ways today to explain that just because I know how to hold a whip properly, I must have some secret double life as a dominatrix or something.

[They're not even wrong about the double life part, to be fair.

She lifts her gaze, then, from looking pensively at the whip to facing the camera more directly.]

Oh and just to let people know, I'm not a matchmaker any more. But Minako-chan still has some great people working for her so go hit them up if you need help finding that special someone.

[She looks like she might have wanted to say something more, but then someone calls for her and she's reaching to switch off the feed with a Just a minute in response to that call.]

Well, I've already told them this is a one-off. I don't mind if it's part of a costume but I don't want them getting any ideas about what kinds of things I'm okay with.

[And really the main reason she's okay with this costume is because it's close to her Phantom Thief attire. She just doesn't want that to shape the rest of her career.

She can't help but grin a little, though.]

Then again, they didn't exactly argue with me so I guess they figure it's best not to upset me just in case.

Lay that groundwork early, [she agrees, grinning.] It makes turning down clients later a lot easier. That's a great sign that they didn't push you on it, though.

[Ann does have a really striking look; Dove can't imagine the agency would let her slip away too easily.]

You do look great though! [She's got a particular fondness for the type of outfit the other model's currently wearing. Brings back memories.]

If they'd tried, they'd be looking for someone else to fill the role.

[There's a certain edge of fierceness there that suggests she's had her share of people pushing her into things she didn't truly want. Safe to say she has learned from that time.]

But at least this outfit's tasteful. I've seen some of what other stores here offer and let's just say I wouldn't want to be on those jobs.

[Good girl. If Dove had had that much confidence in her fledgling years, she would have saved herself s lot of heartbreak. Ann isn't exactly new to the scene, but it's nice to see that spark in someone else. Far too often, it's the opposite, and Dove isn't one who enjoys watching women let themselves be walked on for the sake of attention and promotion.

I go by the nickname Graverobber, which has had people asking me if I rob, like, pyramids and shit, which -- let's just say it is not nearly that glamorous.

Huh. I mean...I guess technically pyramids could fall under that. Though I have to admit the only impression I get from the name involves you spending a lot of times in graveyards.

[Besides. Futaba's pyramid had been a tomb, which is completely different...somehow...]

[Especially given that the pendant-holders apparently don't stay dead, she figures it'd probably be seen as mockery.]

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like I can empathize with you. I don't think many people assume much about me. Though I do feel that it's rather silly to assume anything of a person just because they hold certain talents.

[ She shook her head with a small smile. ]

I find myself feeling more impressed you can handle such a weapon. I can't... even raise my fists in defense.

Really? That must be nice. For me, I can't even say I'm surprised that people are making assumptions.

[She's been dealing with it for about as long as she's been living in Japan, given that her appearance alone makes her stand out.]

Oh, but I'm sure people here could help you if that's what you wanted. I'm not sure I'd be the best person for the job but there's a lot of capable people here, seems like.

I don't know if it means much coming from a stranger, but I find your strength to be admirable and you already seem like a very pleasant person.

[Her tone is genuine, a little taken aback but her sincerity is plain all the same. She still struggles to consider herself strong at times, so to hear she's making a first good impression is worth a lot to her.]

[excuse him while he picks his jaw up from the floor, basically. he always thought she was hot in her panther outfit, and he always stole glanced at her while they were working as phantom thieves, but now he could openly state and realize just how good Ann looked in these kinds of outfits.

Is this what they make all new and upcoming celebs wear? 'Cause daaamn you rockin' that! [of course she is though, she would be pretty comfortable in such an outfit.]

I don't think so. I think it's just that time of year.

[It's spoken with a slight giggle, which catches her off-guard a little because she's still getting used to this shift in dynamic between them. But safe to say she's pretty pleased to be getting that reaction from him, for all the costume she's wearing isn't a huge departure from her Panther attire and for all he's seen her in that countless times.

But of course, she's still going to tease him just a little.]

Well, I could. They did say if there was anything I really liked, I could take it home with me. Though there's some other really cute costumes here too so I don't know, it's gonna be tough to decide.

Well, a lot of it's what you'd expect for this time of year. There's a really cute witch outfit in here that I'm tempted to keep hold of, too.

[She doesn't normally tend towards the super-girly but even she can have her moments.]

Oh but if we're doing this, you need a costume too. Have you had any ideas yet?

Technically yes. But I think I've annoyed people with my knowledge of hair and makeup more than anything.

[Kaoru has always made suggestions to what would work better than what was planned. He wasn't even a celebrity, he just wanted the whole thing to go as well as possible.]

I guess it must be pretty hard work being your hair and make-up team.

[She's mostly teasing. She tends to be pretty easy-going with the people she works with but that's not to say she hasn't let her thoughts be known where needs be.]

Oh yeah. I mean everyone makes mistakes too, so it's good to have someone point it out to learn. Some people just don't appreciate being told they are wrong sometimes.

[He pretends to sigh, but mostly he does wonder if people make assumptions because he knows so much.]

Sometimes I choose to just do my own. I could always do yours sometime. Your hair looks like it would suit a lot of styles after all.

[Everyone's motivated differently, after all. And she figures this may be an area where advice best comes from those with the same job.

At his latter comment, she does fiddle with the ends of her hair a little.]

You think so? I don't tend to do much with it a lot of the time but actually now I might find a reason to take you up on that.

[So sue her, the idea of catching Ryuji off-guard with something like that is a tempting one.]

[Sections of Ann's fanbase are probably just as disgusting as Akechi's if not more so, but then she's been dealing with that long before she showed up here. She's just got better at ignoring that particular demographic.]

I don't think we do? But we could always make some up for you, I guess. If you're missing it that badly.

[She's mostly joking, but the fact alone that she can do so is an interesting one to her, all things considered.]
