( Hey Dante, you'll hear a firm knock on the door of the shop. She'd gone to Chiedren as he instructed, bottle of Oni Sake in hand, waiting patiently for Dante to arrive at the door.
It was a little strange to her, she had to admit. She'd never actually met this man in person, but there was something pleasantly familiar about him through their conversations. It was something to ponder on. )

( In the time since she'd arrived in Genessia, Integra had taken the liberty of acquiring various kitchenware and utensils.
She lacked any real experience in the kitchen, typically leaving such tasks up to her butler or the maid staff. But here, she was on her own, and she was far too proud to be dependant on someone else for her meals in this world. Hence why she is, now, waiting in the living room of her apartment for Shirou to arrive. When she hears a knock, she'll come to open the door. )

I don't see a point in worrying over it. Everglade is for those on the fringes of society. Laws might interfere in their way of life.
What steps could the law enforcement in Everglade take to improve?

Must you be as dumb as you look, Namur? We both know every non-"Gater" can't leave unless they're under constant supervision from another "Gater"; the moment that ends, back they go! I know Grell lies an awful lot, but...come to think, how do you fall for that, anyway? Thought you could sniff those out.

When I receive multiple complaints that non-magics feel unsafe in the city, there is clearly something fundamentally broken. You may either send me helpful and constructive criticism, or you need not respond at all.
Re: text; anonymous
As far as I'm concerned, I am> giving you constructive criticism you stuck up bitch. I think Everglade is fine just the way it is. If the humans don't like it, they can leave. They're choosing to live here just like we fucking are.

Could you fill out the form yourself? I'm Detective Satou Kuroneko, and if you have concerns then I'd like to hear them.

Hello, Detective Satou. How do you do? I've actually been here a short time myself, but have been assigned to work as a detective with Everglade's law enforcement. As you can understand, I'm very curious to learn about Everglade's problems and perhaps work to fix them, so any information you can provide me would be most appreciated.

Everglade is a city with a native population of "supernaturals." Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and associated hauntings or curses are very common here. As such, it's the ideal place for pendent bearers who are non-human. Our native human population is kept safe by laws that prohibit preying upon them, but we have an emphasis on solving the human-meal problem: We have a set-up with the inmates of death row to be taken here, as well as bloodbanks and similar establishments.
Our role here is to maintain enough peace that people may live their lives, but maintain the mystery and fear as much as possible. Have you been informed about the barrier?

Sorry 'bout that. It's been forever since someone didn't just let themselves in and didn't try to impale me when the door opened.
[He gestures for her to come in after taking the bottle of Oni Sake.]
I've got some compensation for ya. I do appreciate you running the errand. Paperwork has been driving me nuts...
[He walks back to his desk and pulls a large bottle of expensive looking Scotch and offering it to Integra.]

It's quite alright. ( Why does she seem used to this?? ) It's hardly a thing compared to some of my exploits in London.
( Let her tell you about how London was completely razed to the ground and infiltrated by Nazi vampires when she left it, Dante.
She clasps her hands, eying the Scotch. )
As I told you, it was no favour at all. ( Her face shows that of genuine shock, as if she hadn't even considered compensation as a reward for her help. ) But I'm happy to have helped.
( She accepts the bottle of Scotch, admittedly, still a little befuddled. )
I wouldn't suppose you've attempted adding this to hot tea before?
( Another laugh. Something should tell Dante that she's not quite as straight-laced as she'd have one believe. )

This is going to sound blasphemous as a fellow Brit, but I'm not really a tea person.
[He comes back out, with a pair of tumblers and passes one to Integra before opening the bottle of sake.]
Also, good thing you didn't try to sample this stuff, its deadly to humans, but gets me buzzed at the very least.

What sort of challenges do non-humans face in Everglade? I would like to hear your honest opinion.
Re: private text; anonymous
Stereotyping, misinformation... The fact that not every non-human that has been relocated here is violent.
I know a few non-humans that are pretty harmless despite their status as a 'monster'. But, from what I have seen...sometimes just being a certain creature will get one branded as a threat even when they haven't done anything. Yes, fear is needed for the barrier... but, not all of us need to be feared for that.

Laws aren't about how you feel. And law enforcement can't fix that. Nor should it try to.
[Oh hey, at least Integra got warned by Satou that Carver is a dick.]
People need to be on their guard, not acting entitled to be protected from life.
[He's from California. Not that that it means anything. Except when it does.]
Are you even familiar with Everglade's laws' history here? Because they're highly relevant and I suggest reading up first.
