[ It would seem as if not even the son of Dracula himself is immune to the effects of this world and the dhampir has now become fully human and lost all his vampire abilities inherited from his father. Thankfully? This is for a short time, so he's heard through various mumblings. But in the meantime, he feels completely vulnerable for the first time in his entire life and he is not so sure what to make of it.

Despite the fact that his father has returned to this world and he would be utterly powerless against him should tempers clash with one another, he still weaves his way through the supernatural city, though keeps more to the well-lit areas and not so much within the dense fog as before. His demeanor remains the same despite his lack of vampiric abilities and much as before, he can be found within Periodicals and Paperbacks, searching for more books that perhaps might pertain to this current state various individuals seem to be in. Should he be within the city during the evening and those with new and uncontrollable hungers happen to be lurking about, do not think that he won't retaliate with sword at his side should the need arise. While he may be human, that is not to say that he is still not a master swordsman. ]

[ At some point during his days of being human, he will be found at Bright Sky Diner, finding himself starved and looking over the menu which has been handed to him at the counter, looking rather confused at it and the burgers, fries, and milkshakes that it seems to offer. Genessia General Hospital will also be a spot where he is though not for reasons a vampire/dhampir might ordinarily be there for and, rather, to inquire about what sort of medicines exist within this world. Moonbucks, admittedly, might have caught his eye at some point, though he will not be so adept in knowing much of the various drinks they offer aside from the basic teas which is what he very well may order and when prompted to add anything to eat with that, he might seem a bit confused, for none of these treats are anything which he is familiar with... in more than a couple ways. Other than that, Memoria Park is one other place that he can be found, coming to look over this large granite wall which rests beneath a large tree within the park. There are names here of those who have passed, in a sense, from this world and while he has only just arrived himself and not had much time to make proper acquaintances, there is perhaps one name in particular he is curiously looking for. ]

[ It's been no more than a day since the dhampir has become a full-blooded human and while he's made strides in adjusting to the lack of strength, speed, senses, and even ability to heal, it would seem there is one area in which he has failed to take into consideration...

The ability to fall ill.

The cooler temperatures and lack of vibrant nutrition for his human body now have taken advantage of this confusing situation and claimed ~~the dhampir~~ him for what is probably a common cold. As harmless as it may be, for him, it is not anything in which he's dealt much with and the fact that it can render ones body weak and tired is both confusing and frustrating and it's written all over his paled face (at least that seems to have remained?) as he pushes open the door to the hotel in which he has taken residence in with the hunter for the time being...

...and is thrown into a sneezing fit the second he steps in and without a tissue to boot.

As if things could get any more strange and unsettling. ]

[He wasn't the only vampire turned human during the current issues that swept over the populace. Rip was enjoying herself, taking in the sun and of course, sampling foods she hasn't had in a long time or too new for her to try before now.

Which may just be why he might just spot her at Moonbucks, looking over the beverage menu and contemplating a scone or something out of the case. Of course, once she spots him, Rip waves and heads over.]

Isn't zhis place delightful? Zo many different types of drinks to try, I just can't make up my mind.

[ Coming from the 1400's, the great majority of the offerings that are presented to him in the form of treats and pastries is somewhat lost on him and it's only when he recognizes the voice of the one approaching him (how strange to think he can no longer sense another's presence well in advance), he glances over to Rip when she joins him. Is she, too, different? ]

Then you are also dealing with a certain change in yourself, I take it?

[At least some of the pastries were known to her. Rip was last alive in the 1940s and been a vampire for the last...seventy or so years.So, she's a little more up to date than he was.]

Most of zhe residents are from vat I can tell.

[She smiled as she glanced to him before looking back at the menu.]

But, yes. I'm affected az vell. It's been a very long time since I've been human und I intend to enjoy zhis for however long it lasts.

[ Curiously, he looks to Rip, though doesn't seem to display much in the way of emotions on his face. Regardless of being human now, he it still rather... himself in terms of personality. ]

Are you not comfortable with what you are normally?

[ A vampire, he means. ]

[She knew what he meant and it takes her a few moments to reflect on it.]

I embrace every aspect of zhe monster I vas created to be. Every impulse, every craving, every hunt. I just vish a few zhings vere different, zhats all.

[ Words he says back as if to confirm that he had heard her correctly before he allows his gaze to fall on her. ]

I'm sorry.

Don't be. I villingly accepted zhe experiment.

[Which means, she wasn't even created traditionally.]

Besides, it's not all bad. I'm just az much a vampire as all zhe ozhers, just a little different.

I'm familiar with the feeling.

[ Being only half himself and not a full-blooded vampire like his father or the many who reside within his world. Speaking about that somewhat, ]

My father has returned, hasn't he?

[She nodded slightly.]

I find zhat despite being a vampire, I haf a little more in common vith dhampires zhan I do ozher full blooded vampires.

[Just a slight observation on her part considering there was a lot of things she could not do that other vampires could do.]

Yes, he did a few days ago. I vas in his demon parade az he made his vay from zhe bay back to zhe castle.

[She fell quiet for a moment.]

I'm sure by now he probably knows you're here. I didn't mention anyzhing but.. vell, keeping zhings from father is never easy.

If he has not sensed my presence, then I am sure there are those who have relayed the information to him.

[ And obviously about the Belmont as well. ]

For what it's worth, I appreciate your not saying anything to him.

[ She had no reason to not tell his father of such a thing considering they hardly know one another but, still, he feels the need to convey his appreciation for her words being kept to herself regarding his arrival. ]

[And considering she's hardly the only member of Dracula's adopted family and she doesn't know who Adrian's spoken to.. Chances are someone's told their father. Rip just didn't feel like it was her place to mention him.]

[She shrugged a little. If anything it might have bought him a little time to settle in before dealing with Dracula.]

I'd suggest settling in for a bit und really getting a feel for zhe cities before talking vith him if you can help it. Or, at least until you're not human again. I'm not sure how he'd react to eizher of us being human right now.

[ An assumption that he would agree with.

However, given his current state and assuming that his father has somehow not been affected by any of the strange magic, if you will, of this world, he cannot disagree with her suggestion to perhaps not seek out his father just yet and to wait until this has all worn off... which will hopefully be sooner rather than later. For if his father were to seek him out... there isn't much he could do in the way of avoiding him. ]

His opinion of humans is not the kindest.

[ How would he react to seeing his son as a human and no longer a dhampir? ]

Though if he searches me out himself, I am afraid there is little I can do while like this.

[At least she doesn't have a problem admitting it. But with how her world was and her past, the opinion also shouldn't shock anyone. ]

However, I've learned to value individuals zhat haf risen above zhe rabble masses of violent idiots zhat make up zhe populace. Ozhervise, I vouldn't haf nearly az many people in my life az I haf right now.

[Surprisingly, a good portion of them were mortal. And Rip really didn't want to find out what Dracula's reaction would be to any of his children being human, even for a short while.]

True. If he's looking for you zhen your best bet iz to zimply stay as far avay from Everglade und zhe castle as possible. Fazher never leaves the castle unless he haz to.

[ His own opinion on humans is... conflicting, to say the least. For as much as his father's blood runs through his veins, so does his mother's and with that, a gentle kindness and understanding that perhaps his father severely lacks for most. ]

I would assume as much.

[ Especially after everything that had happened back within their own world. ]

Humans are not without their flaws and they have done acts of cruelty to even their own kind. But they still suffer in ways which we do not... there are still those who are good.

[ Like his mother. ]

I've seen zhe very depths of zheir cruelty on my vorld.. und zheir kindness in ozhers.

[ He allows himself to fall silent for a long moment before he looks back to her. ]

Have you any idea how long this change might last for?

[She considers how to answer his question while she finally makes up her mind on what drink she wants along with what pastry and places her order. Once she finishes that and pays, she turns her attention back to Adrian.]

In my experience vith ozher vorlds, zhings like zhis usually last from a few days to a veek, sometime two veeks at most. But.. I'd say usually, zhey last a veek.

However, I am not sure just vat zhe typical period for zhis vorld iz.

[ While he doesn't particularly like the thought of that, it could always be worse. It could be months, even permanent, so he figures he will just have to make do in the meantime. ]

I suppose we shall find out one way or another with time, won't we?

[Rip had gotten used to things like this happening ages ago. It doesn't mean she likes it either, just that she knows how to just wait it out. ]

In zhe mean time, I haf plenty of zhings to keep me occupied. Especially vhen it comes to foods I can't normally consume.

Yes, I imagine taking care of ones diet is something to be occupied with for the moment.

[She grinned as she got her drink and pastry.]

Zhe zame goes for you to, Adrian. You should relax und enjoy zome of zhe local foods. Zhey're good und I admit, I might haf gained a bit of a sweet tooth vith everyzhing going on.

Even though she had quit Sakuya still returned to the Bright Sky Diner from time to time to relax. She liked the atmosphere and, even if the food wasn't what she was used to most of the time, it was still quaint. In it's own unusual way.

She would be surprised to see Adrian sitting there with his nose buried in a menu. She had sort of met the dhampir the last time he was here but hadn't really taken the time to interact with him...

Also, what was he doing ordering human food?

She approached, having to bite back the reflex to ask for his order and cleared her throat.

"You are Adrian Tepes, correct?" She's not good at starting conversations.

She would not be the only one surprised in the moment but, given his current predicament, if you will, nourishment must be given to the body lest he wind up ill or some other such nonsense. ~~unfortunately he will at some point anyway.~~

However, it's when his name is said that he allowed his gaze to flick up from the menu and over to the one speaking to him. He does not recognize the one addressing to him nor has he seen her in the days that he has been here thus far. A servant of his father's? Perhaps, as he has not made it quite known to most what his real name is.

"That depends on how well I know you."

"Apologies." She bowed. Clearly well-mannered. "People show up time and again in this world. Sometimes with or without memory or previous visits. It was then that we met. Albeit briefly."

She straightened up. "My name is Sakuya Izayoi, bound servant to the vampire Remilia Scarlet who is currently residing in Castle Dracula." She straightened up. "I take it you arrived recently?"

"So it would seem..."

He has encountered a couple who have, supposedly, met him when he had last been here, brief as it had been, but he has no recollection of such a time nor place such as this and that includes any sort of introductions he might have had with others.

Of course, when that name, Remilia Scarlet is mentioned, he recognizes it... and of course the name of his father, or in this case, his castle.

"You would be correct. Though for how long this time, I'm sure only time will tell."

[ It's the Genessia hospital that Adrian stops by that he encounters someone a bit more unusual there. A short brunette seems to have the same idea he had, at least vaguely speaking, and was asking about a few medical supplies. Of note, it seemed that she had matching fox ears and a tail, the tail was wagging behind her.

Upon seeing him, said brunette had to do a double-take. ]

Oh! You look kinda familiar, but I'm not sure if we actually met. You briefly passed me some advice.

[ Coming to look to the young girl with the fox ears and matching tail, he tilts his head some, wondering if perhaps she has mistaken him for someone else she knows, if even in passing. ]

I'm afraid you may have me mistaken for someone else.

Ah, sorry sorry. Chances are I just met someone who looked like you.

Anyway, you seem more like you're window shopping in the hospital than needing a visit. What for?

[ Konoka asks this despite doing her own shopping. But as if aware of what he might ask from her, she then added her own answer. ]

As for me, I'm currently without my main healing ability thanks to these... foxy additions, but a healer's job is never done... and never out of options either. Fortunately this will only be around for a week or two.

[ Fortunately, he is not in dire need of any sort of medical attention or supplies with this new change he's been given, but to be aware of what sort of supplies are available within this world is something of importance and might be needed with however long his mortality lasts. ]

You're capable of healing yourself or others as well?

Yeah. Well, normally I would anyway.

My current form is currently interfering with my magic though, so I gotta wait until this wears off. Until then I'm pretty much limited to what a single worker under this hospital can do.

There are a few protective magics I use charms for that I can still use since they're not a part of me, though.

To be able to heal others is a gift one should never take lightly or for granted.

[ Perhaps he says that more to himself than to her. ]

Charms and magics which you purchase within this world you mean?

Yeah, I agree. That’s why I need back up plans.

[ She’s had no shortage of people telling her what she already knew back at home. The best thing to do was smile along with it. ]

Yep! I run a charm shop that has one-time-use spells like that. Anyone with any sort of magic can use them.

[ How curious. ]

I used to be in Everglade, but a lot of stuff happened.

I've heard of it. I was intending to stop by at some point to be honest.

[ It's just... a whirlwind of things have happened as of late and so he's been unable to. Although, with the mention of Everglade and "stuff" having happened, he looks to her a little more curiously. ]

What sort of stuff do you mean?

[ Konoka knows this is, on some level, not the same man who advised her on Dracula so long ago. But she can't help but figure out where things will go as soon as she says them. She says just two words flatly. ]

Castlevania happened.

[ Those words or any variation of his father are ones which he is coming to hear much of within this world and, for a moment, it almost feels as though he's back home and not off in another world so far from his own. Funny how a so-called legacy can extend to even other worlds. ]

I'm sorry.

[ Is what he offers to her with a solemn look on his face. ]

[ That apology says it all. But that story was a beginning, not an end. ]

On the bright side, it was that very store that let me escape that place, and I got noticed enough to become a deputy of Fayren!

[ There might be only the softest of tugs at his lips to allow a smile to touch them at her bright side. ]

So I'm to come to you should I ever need some help in Fayren?

[ Konoka looked pretty proud of herself. She was never one to let things keep her down. ]

I've got a long way to go before I can truly become a strong mage, but I've come a long way!

[ A good outlook to have, if even difficult to sometimes maintain. ]
