Catchall for October 15th-26th [Action]
(ooc: 1 open prompt & the rest are closed - let me know if you want a closed prompt!)
[Action] Open to all - October 19th-26th
[Phibrizzo managed to dodge all of the changes many others seem to be afflicted by, which means it’s time to walk around and enjoy feeding off of the misery and distress others are feeling as a result of the changes.
At the same time, as a Jolly Eddy’s employee, Namur has effectively volunteered the staff’s services in protecting others. In some cases, this may be protection from those who might hunt monsters. So while Phibrizzo will be enjoying people’s misery, he’s also here to provide some protection. And hopefully annoy a few hunters along the way.
When not on duty, he can be found near others playing a game on a battery operated handheld video game console. He’s not very good at it. You can tell by the way that he moves as he’s trying to play the game. While his thumbs would be enough to direct the little character on the screen, he’s leaning into it. Behold the sounds of the little character on the screen dying with a little sad chime of music.]
Again?! Oh come on.

Everglade, October 15th - Closed to Lust
Oh hi miss! You were the lady who posted about souls a while back, right?
[He might as well be direct. There’s potential for an interesting conversation here, so there’s no need to play completely innocent.]
The locals don’t have them. Not in the same way that pendant wearers do.
[He offers her a cheerful smile.]
I checked using my magic.
Genessia, October 17th - Closed to Tomura Shigaraki
His past two attempts had caused the appropriate amount of distress and gave him the snack he wanted, but he’d had no luck locating the man.
This time, he’s pretty sure he’s spotted him a little further ahead. So he goes ahead and tries that one trick they’d talked about before. This time, he goes for a scruffy man with a burly build, and he’s not terribly careful about avoiding getting caught. When the man seizes his arm, Phibrizzo lets out an earsplitting shriek sure to be heard by anyone within the vicinity - even if they’re wearing headphones and have their music up loud.]
HELP! HE’S NOT MY FATHER! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!
[It takes no time at all for some well meaning civilian to tackle the sturdily built man with messy facial hair. Phibrizzo slips into the crowd during all the commotion, weaving his way quietly through until he finds the thin, wiry thief he met before.]
You were right. That was fun.
[Action]
[Action] I couldn't resist the parody/expy.
[He gestures to the screen.]
Lorenzo's a stupid guy. I keep trying to make him jump up, but every time he runs off the cliff instead.
no subject
Leave my little brother alone!
[Of course in as he did, he made sure to swipe the watch off the man's watch before the dogpile. Once they met up, Tomura tosses the watch to Phibrizzo.]
It's amazing, isn't it? The smallest push is all it takes and they tear each other apart.
no subject
Thanks, big brother~
[He giggles at the chaos, taking in all the emotion. The crowd's anger at the man trying to kidnap an innocent child is delicious, as is the man's confusion, pain and fear at suddenly being attacked. His shouts that the boy is a thief are drowned out by the people who want nothing more than to bring this man who attacked a little boy to justice.]
It's like playing a game of chess, only with people.
no subject
And just like chess, every move can be accounted for. People are so stupid and predictable.
[He turns away, motioning for Phibrizzo to follow.]
C'mon. We need to get that watch pawned off. The longer we stick around here, the more likely someone's going to catch on.
no subject
Do you want to walk, or go the faster way?
[It could be easily interpreted as taking the bus, but he's mentioned his ability to teleport with magic before. He's holding up his hand to grab Shigaraki's arm, but doesn't take it just yet. Not until he's had confirmation. ]
no subject
If yer doin' it by jus' pressin' up then yeah, he ain't gonna do shit. Gotta use them ones with the letters on 'em. Jus' stand there a sec an' push 'em all an' see what they does.
no subject
Yeah, the faster we put distance between us and this place the better.
no subject
It looks like he's working out or doing some sort of weird dance...
[He adds in the directional keys with this and, yup. Weird dance is what it looks like. But maybe this means he can get the character into enclosed spaces.]
Do you like video games?
no subject
He looks over the watch now that they're far enough away from the incident that no one will question them. With a smile, he looks up.]
I don't even need the money to survive anymore. I've got a job now. This was just for fun.
no subject
[Namur got into it momentarily, but he leans back a bit before answering.]
Ehh, shit like this's a'ight. Been in other places where the video games was a hell of a lot more intense an' that weren't... Mean. It was depressin' as hell. An' nothin' ever went right, no matter how hard y' tried...
no subject
[Despite how much he's toyed with people over his long life, there's always been some sort of desperate move they could make in his games to win. It's more fun that way.]
I guess people could make a lot of money when it first launched if they said it was the hardest game ever or something.
no subject
Weren't little shit like this y' could hold in yer hands neither. The whole world changed 'round us. Like we'd be sittin' here havin' a chat then suddenly a fighter jet'd fly up over us an' drop a load a bombs. Get a text with instructions t' go somewhere an' jump in a plane an' go fight 'em. Never mind if y' didn't know what in the hell y's doin' in a cockpit. Jus' part a the challenge, or whatever. Thing is, if y' did manage t' do a good job, y' still got mentally jacked with. Cuz that plane y' jus' shot down? Made sure y' got a real good look at who was inside, an' it was usually someone y' cared 'bout down deep.
[Namur laughs, a little manically. It sounds so contrived and stupid telling it like this.]
Aw shit I hated that place. Full stop, glad Time Compression or whatever whisked me outta there. Zoom. Gone. See y' never, suckas. CERES an' the shitty flamines can bite my ass.
no subject
I don't think I'd like playing that very much at all.
[He tries his game again and this time, he manages to make Lorenzo jump properly.]
Look, I did it!
no subject
[Namur leans his head over, watching the newest attempt.]
Hell yeah! Knew y' could do it!
Does he do a double jump? Gotta get that'n down too sometimes. Push the button 'gain 'fore he hits the ground so y' go higher or farther. Call it skywalkin' in my world.
no subject
[He says this quite casually as he presses the buttons and tries the double jump that Namur suggested.]
no subject
Hmmm.... well there was two others 'sides my home which'd make it three, when I first got here. Then I took them Dream Docks for a spin an' found out there's 'nother me that was I guess actually me that went t' a differnt world in a totally differnt timeline. So that's... four? Genessia's my fifth world?
[He seemed a bit like he was holding his breath, then right at the end he gasps and groans a little, rubbing his fingers along his temples.]
Augh, there it is. Thinkin' too hard on this shit gives me a splittin' headache every damn time. Think 's cuz we ain't really s'posed t' know 'bout the other us's or take back our memories, but some a us does it, an' so we getta suffer the rest a our shitty lives. Sheheh!
[He laughs but he winces, and cusses under his breath.]
So was there someone pullin' the strings a them darkness monsters where y' come from? Or was it jus' some random shit that kinda lashed out at random an' nabbed folk?
