Video:

[ Regan is using her device today to introduce herself to the town at large and she looks a lot better than she did before. For starters, her clothing is new and her hair is tied back in two semi messy French braids. And she’s in a bedroom that’s starting to show signs of a young girl living in it. To her left on the desk she’s propped her device on, a white board and colorful erasable markers. To the right? A pile of cochlear devices. She picks up the whiteboard and scribbles out a message for all to read. ]

Hi! My name is Regan. I’ve only been in town for a couple weeks and I have a question.

[ Erasing that message, she writes a newer and slightly longer second one. ]

I was born deaf, so I use American Sign Language to communicate. Back home, I had a lot of people in my life who understood it and could communicate back. But here? I don’t have as many. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in learning so that I had more people I could talk to?

[ Its really not a bad idea, honestly. She gives people time to read that one and then writes again. ]

I also need a job. I have no idea what I could do or anything done I haven’t had a job before. So if anyone has anything a deaf thirteen year old might enjoy, please let me know. Thanks.

Video + Text!!! XDDD Yay!

I'm counting on you!

Nah, that's the point. We have Matt in there sometimes too, and he's blind. One sense isn't enough for everything, and you're probably pretty tuned into vibrations, right? Or is that the problem? But we've had people with completely different senses too, not just vampires, but like demons, and skeletons, and fishmen, or ghosts! So I want to make it versatile but not... damaging. Which I kind of did. A bit. At first. That's why we had to suggest vampires not do it anymore. I went a little overboard. I'm bad like that.

You definitely can! I run Torchwood alongside Jack, but I also work as Teacher's Assistant for the Doctor, Professor, and Trunks helps us a lot, but he also works for Capsule Corp which is his Mum's company. And Matt has another client than just us, I think. Although I put him through a LOT! [Laughs!] He's a lawyer, so between patents, and making sure everything is on the up and up, and doing civil rights stuff, we keep him busy.

Yup! And possibly a ninja. Even with your cochlear in, you wouldn't hear him coming. We also have um, Cheshire who is a teleporting cat -- he's the Haunted House tour guide! [Troll guide.] And Koishi is our youkai tester for meats and stuff. They're all really good at being accidentally sneaky!

And no worries! You're hired! Jack does security, I do hirings. And since you can basically be my assistant on top of testing things, you'll only have me as your boss, okay?

But if the Doctor says to do something, it's for your own safety usually. Or at least someone else's. So if he says to duck or hold things, it's best to do it, and then figure out what he's up to. And it's more fun that way.

[As Rose explains, she'd love to pay more, but for now, it'll probably only be 2 stars until Regan has more experience -- but if she supplements it with ASL, she should be golden.]

Not as old either. In time, who knows? Flora may be just your thing. Worth trying, isn't it?

Though that will do just as well. I've a few other lessons, but plenty of time to fit in yours. Let me know what days off Rose and The Doctor give you.

Hello. My name is Neito Monoma, and I would be willing to learn. I tend to learn things quickly.

[His powers involve copying the abilities of others for a short time, after all. He has to learn how to control them.]

Of course. If you would like to sit in on classes, even just to see if it's right for you, you'd be more than welcome to sit in on mine.

Hi Regan. I'm Eli.

[ He wishes he could write for her but writing is as much of a problem as reading. So he does his best between texting and speaking. ]

I don't know how to sign but I'd love to learn.

[ He thinks it might help, since reading faces and bodies is easier for him than words. ]

You might be able to teach a small ASL class at the Red House. It's a home for kids. And we have the space for it.

There are quite a lot of friendly and helpful people here. Some people who didn't offer to learn sign language would still have conversations with you over the network and answer questions you might have.

[ Neo watches the girl place in her cochlear device before she nods and does so again, before adding more.

"How's that work?" There's a nudge of her head to the hearing device.

Cat cafe, maybe? Or the library?

We should look around and see if we can find an arcade. That'd be a fun job.

7,106. Not including coding.

[ A nice round normal number to provide there. ]

I think that's very smart.

...You're right.

[ The average human being knows 2 languages, with most multilingual people in Europe averaging 3. Thinking it over, "being prepped for everything" is an excuse to be a show-off and have the bold claim that they can put that many in his head. Thanks CyberLife.

At least it wasn't totally useless. ]

The opportunity to use more than one of them hasn't arisen until just now.
