For over two years, she's lived in silence. Most of her life before that had been spent hearing to a point. Her cochlears didn't give her one-hundred percent hearing. She had the knowledge that there was sound and she could differentiate. But it was a lot to get used to. She texts Emma back. ]

I know. I want to be useful. Someone said I could teach ASL at the university. What do you think?
