 Well, it was fucking nice while it lasted.

[Li's sitting somewhere on the shores of Fayren under the moonlight with nothing more than a large shirt on and looking annoyed. She liked being a Siren damn it and now several days later, she's still wishing she had it. Then again, it wasn't what she really was... She sighed and glanced to her phone while she ran a hand through her hair, noting that it was getting longer again. Unlike when she was a siren, it's back to being a sandy blonde instead of black once more.

She grumbles softly.]

So, is everyone else back to what they're supposed to be or are there still a few sirens out there? It was... nice not  being the only one again.

The..Dominance huh. That doesn't sound very pleasant so just how do you get the abilities of other creatures with something like that?

Usually by fighting them. It's... pretty much exactly what the name implies. Not pleasant for anyone involved, but I will say up front that I've never fought anything that didn't try to kill me first. Usually several at a time.

Then I'm sure as fuck not fighting you. I'd rather keep my hide and my abilities if you make it a habit of defeating monsters and dominating them some how.

As I said before, I don't fight anything or anyone that doesn't attack me first. And it's not a habit. I have no control over the ability itself.

What do you mean you have no control over that ability? You'd think that's something you'd want to control before something stupid happens with it.

You say that as if I haven't been trying for four years. You tell me, how long would it take YOU to learn how to focus energies you have never encountered before, while fighting the influence of that power on your psyche, and just for fun, being attacked by demons on a regular basis? I can use the abilities it grants me at an instinctive level, but I've only just started to understand the mechanics. Because guess what? There isn't a whole lot of information out there about this.

[She snorts faintly as she listens to him. Only four years? Really?]

First, I'm cursed and can't even be myself. Second, took me a year to be without my abilities to figure things out and I've been like this for three hundred years. Third,Fuck you. Curses aren't fucking fun and Four, try being from a world where creatures like me used to be hunted and as far as I know, I'm the last one of my kind.

[She's really good at pushing buttons. It's a gift. A very horrible gift.]

So we're both all sorts of fucked up. And your domination thing sounds like a pain in the ass.

[Four years, plus ten centuries' worth of memories. She doesn't get to know that part, though.]

There's a demon trying to subvert my will and turn me into its new host so it can go on a genocidal world tour, I have a thirst for blood I've been trying very hard not to slake, and I've been cursed for the better part of ten centuries to be incapable of moving on to the hereafter. Someone was pissed off enough to break the cycle of reincarnation to create me - and every time I get brought back, I have to learn it all again.

Oh. And the physical manifestation of Death itself has tried to kill me. Twice. And yeah. Dominance is a bitch. I really don't like it. But I can't help the way I was born, so maybe lay the fuck off.

Okay, no demon trying to make me into a genocidal idiot. But, Hell. I'm a Kelpie. I eat people anyway so what's a few humans here and there. I've been starving for three centuries and until recently my own element caused me pain and burned me.

I fucking refuse to let the curse that's slowly killing me, kill me and don't even bother talking to me about pissing off the wrong people. I lost my herd and everything else because someone pissed in the wrong mage's cheerios one evening.

[There's more to the story than that but, she's not about to tell him that.]

So tell the demon to fuck off, stop starving yourself and kick the ass of whoever was stupid enough to stack the cards against you.

Kinda hard to tell it to go away when its soul's inside my head. The person who did this to me's been dead a millennium now. And I'd rather retain what few shreds of humanity I have left, if it's all the same.

[He folds his arms, frowning - more thoughtful than wrathful, now.]

I'm going to assume you've tried everything you can to break this curse of yours. Is alchemy on that list, by chance?

Then do what the humans do.. what's it called? Exercise or something. Something that involves a priest and some stupid special water.

[Don't ask. Li's not exactly that well versed in Human... anything.]

[She hesitates and frowns a little.]

And I'm not trusting some alchemist I don't even know to mess with this and make it worse. The fucking things already trying to kill me, lets not give it a hand.

The last priest who tried to exorcise this thing got eaten.

[More frown, then a shrug.]

Then find one you do know. Or get to know one. There are several in Genessia - I'm one of them, but there are others who are probably better than me.

There are two wizards I'm trusting with it. If they can't do it, I'll eat them and find someone else.

Really. Any exorcist coming after it now better be packing serious weaponry. Crosses, silver, and holy water aren't gonna cut it.

[Well... if she's working with the one 'wizard' he knows who identifies himself as such, then she's in good hands. Gellert may have an inner darkness all his own, but he's certainly competent.]
