01: Open to All!
[Action]
If someone had been standing in the small cave filled with the glowing water and a single silver cocoon, their first inclination that the occupant had awoken would have been the very loud BANG, followed by the muffled shout of pain that came from inside. When the Doctor woke up, at least in this body, she tended to do so immediately. Doing so while contained within a small, metal egg without first looking to make sure your head wasn't aimed directly for the lid was a quick way to give yourself one hell of a rude awakening.
She groaned, more in frustration then any actual pain, nursing her forehead for a moment before she looked up with bleary eyes, confusion worming it's way into her gaze as her surroundings became clear.
Alright, first thing; not the TARDIS. She couldn't feel the familiar vibrations, nor could she feel the telepathic connection that told her she was home. That was, obviously, her most immediate concern, but not the only one. Second thing; Ryan, Yaz, and Graham certainly couldn't fit into this tiny pod with her. Their own pods? Still on the TARDIS?
"Hullo? Guys?" She waited, listening, fifteen breaths, but no answer came. So, either not within earshot or able to hear her from outside the pod. She shifted where she lay, first noticing the soft silks that lined the thing. Meant for comfort? Or as decoration. The fact that the thing resembled some sort of coffin didn't go unnoticed, but she certainly didn't remember dying, not that her memory could be depended on 100% of the time. There had been enough times in the past when the Doctor had been caught unawares and not been able to remember it afterward.
The next thing, or things, she noticed were the items that tumbled from her chest as she moved, dropping onto the cushion beneath her. She frowned, shifting to reach for them and press against the top with her other arm, finding it easy enough to open, when one weren't bearing all of their weight and momentum into their forehead as they sat up abruptly. The lid of the thing removed, she clambered out, landing in ankle deep water, her nose curling as she felt it sinking into her boots and soaking her socks all the way through.
"Oh, lovely. The least you could have done would be to leave me a pair of wellies." She snatched the items from inside, tucking them under her arm as she turned to stare at the area around her, eyes dazzled as they adjusted to the dim light and the bright lights coming from the water itself. Huffing out indignantly at the realization that there were no other signs of her friends inside the small inlet she'd found herself in, she turned back to the pod, looking it over curiously, studying it for any markings or features that would indicate just who or what had created it. Nothing.
Not even a scan with the sonic was able to give her an inkling of its origin, and she sighed, tucking the tool back into her coat's breast pocket and wading through the water toward the nearby shore. Once she were somewhere dry, she could take a few minutes to survey the items that had been left for her in her metal, watery life-coffin.
[The Doctor smiled brightly into the camera on the phone that she'd been so graciously left by who only knew, looking much happier then she felt, her head tilted curiously to the side.]
Hullo, Genessia! [She repeated the word a few times, testing different pronunciations. Hard G's, soft G's, long and short vowels. Eventually shook her head as if to clear it of the wayward thought.] Nevermind, I'm distracting myself, not important! I seem to have found myself on your lovely, glowing beach, missing my friends and my ship! I don't suppose any of you have seen any new, out of place blue police boxes out and about, by any chance? I'd be most appreciative if you could direct me there, if so.
Also, if any of you have seen three humans going by the names Ryan, Yasmine, or Graham, I'd be happy to know that they were safe and sound. They're under my protection, and I promised to get them home, safe and sound.
[She let the unspoken warning in her tone linger for a moment before grinning widely and waving.]
Anyway! Nice to meet you all! I'm the Doctor!

[So it's with a prettyy delighted wolf grin she tries to answer first before anyone can further murk up the crazy waters.]
Hey sexy. Funny thing about the TARDIS here... but let's talk over tea and chips, and I'll catch you up to speed. Do you still have yer sonic on you?
WELP. XD
Thankfully, it stops abruptly, readjusting as she fumbles to right it up, and the fish-mouthed expression she wears when she comes back into view says everything her speechlessness means she can't. The view of the world behind her begins moving, bouncing, she's suddenly pacing as she tries to form words. For a moment, all that comes out is a sharp, high, incoherent shout.]
No! No! ROSE! TYLER! How-Why-Wha-Wh-Huh-ROSE!
[That's about all she can get out before she just stops, blinking at what was said, and Rose would probably be able to see her shifting on the screen to reach across her chest before holding up her Swiss Army Sonic. And activating it with a buzz, the focusing crystal spinning as it lit up bright orange.]
Rose loves her already oops.
Hallo!
[Waggles fingers.] We're not in your universe anymore. Or mine. Pete's I mean. Sort of more an intersection. There's gateways to lots of universes here! Some even have magic! [Shows off her right hand which has a rather conspicuous mark on it.] And dragons and pegasi and vampires and oh, Jack's here too. And so are 3 of your I think previous faces? They aren't helpful, but if you remember me, then gotta be! Fluffy with the pinstripes, Bowtie, and Guitarist.
Tea and chips?
Oh good, that way it's not at all one-sided. :P
Her mouth opened and her brow furrowed for a moment at the news of Jack, annd three other Doctors, but instead of actually replying she just nodded sharply once more, closing her mouth with a click of her teeth, her lips set in a thin line. Fluffy and pinstrips, must be the egotist with the sandshoes. Bowtie and Guitarist, well...looks like somene was pulling the Doctor out of every regeneration starting with their tenth face. But for what aim?]
Tea and chips, sounds great! [Her voice sounded more distressed then excited, but determined. You'll have to excuse her, Rose. She's very happy to see you, but she's havving a moment.] Where?
XDDD
Let me come get you. You still got your pendant right? Don't lose it. I'll take you to my friend's place. And guildmaster. She's the Guardian of Fayren. Trust me, that's important, yeah?
But Mirajane is like a sister to me, and makes the best chips.
The Doctor is SO PROUD rn!
Pendant, yes! This thing, found it in a box when I woke up here! [She held up a pendant that looked like a brilliant, dark red opal, swirling with shades of blue and green within a dark matrix, like a piece of the galaxy had been snatched out of the sky and put into stone. It looked like she had just tossed it into a ball in her pocket, the chain alreaady tangled in a knot. For all its beauty, it made her frown.] Not natural, sonic can't get a read on it, doesn't make any sense. So what is it for?
[Oh, yes, she'd read the pamphlet. It was supposed to be an identifier. Tell people who was who and grant you access into the areas around you. But the Doctor had learned to never take a random gift granted to you by your mysterious abductors at face value.
Or maybe she just had trust issues. Six of one, half dozen of the other.]
Guardian of Fayren, right, consider it 'membered.
I swear, Rose Tyler. Leave it to you to already be elbows deep in it before I even get here. [And there it was, the first hints of a smile, her lip curling just a little higher on one side in a wry little smirk.]
no subject
Well, I do my best. [Smirky smirk.]
no subject
Silence lingered for a few breaths as she just stared at the image of the young woman in front of her, refreshing her memories of her face, the sly light in her eyes, the way her hair framed her face, the way her lips curled up so playfully. Once she had rememorized every little bit of her face, she felt a soft laugh bubble up from her chest. Maybe she could let herself feel just a little happy...]
'S good to see you, again...
no subject
Hey, where's my Doctor of Hope, yeah? Never know, I might find you yet!
Which I am doing, here. Giving you a hug in a few ticks, don't go anywhere!
[But she leaves the phone on while she drives her pink motorcycle, safely she would add, not like 10 and 12 or even 11 (if she knew, she only suspects) who are virtually menaces.]
no subject
Oi, I'm not sayin' g'bye t'you yet, Rose Tyler! I just got here! I'm just sayin'! I really...am honestly very happy to see you again!
[By that time, though, she may not have even been listening anymore, already on her pink motorcycle and zooming away. Which left the Doctor to wait. And she was terrible at waiting.
She tried, she really did. Spent a couple minutes just watching the view, trying to see when she recognized landmarks that would tell her when she was near. Watching to make sure she was safe while she drove. Studying what little of the bike she could see, analyse what she suspected of it's fuel source and engine type based off of that and the sound it made in action.
And all of that lasted only about a minute more then the patience she had for looking at the scenery through the phone. Felt longer, though. She hated when time started going on around her while she had to stand still doing nothing. So she started pacing on the beach. It was then that a thought crossed her mind, and she gave a small laugh.]
I just realized. For once, Rose Tyler is havin' to give the Doctor a lift!
[The irony of it met her happiness with a fervor, and she found it funnier then it probably was. She was laughing at it for a not insignificant amount of time, marching back and forth across the sand to work the energy out of her legs. Faster and faster, even after the giggling had stopped and she'd stopped staring at the phone, until she was more jogging then pacing, a mess of manic energy brought on by anticipation and utter joy as her eyes roamed the beach around her, trying to spot he motorcycle before she heard it.]
no subject
[Parks and practically knocks her own bike over with the tackle glomp she gives 13.]
Hullo you.
no subject
The second Rose was off the bike and launching herself at the Doctor, she took off to meet her, the biggest, brightest smile on her face, uncontrollable laughter bubbling up from deep inside of her chest. She met the hug head-on, wrapping her arms tightly around her and squeezing with every ounce of her strength. And still, she couldn't seem to stop all the hopping!]
Rose Bloomin' Tyler, I swear on the moon and the stars and everything in creation!
[She hadn't realized how happy she would be to finally get to hold her again, laughing in a way that would have seemed hysterical in any other context. She never wanted to let her go! Though...]
When did you get so tall?!?
no subject
'Bout when you regenerated I expect. [Cheeky grin.] Come on. [Slams a spare pink bike helmet on 13's head.] You don't mind holdin' on, yeah? Even if you do~!
Feel free to just, spitball me questions, yeah, I'll get to answerin' as many as I can when we get to Fairy Haven. Take in the sights, don't soup up my bike. It's from Capsule Corp. Guitarist Doctor has one that's not, but Martha's is from Capsule Corp too, because I had her using it for deliveries, and it's Trunk's Mum's company. You'd like her. She's a lot like me, except her husband is like... [Meta.]
[Ehhhhh skipping over that.]
[A quick snuggle of the Doctor before Rose revs up.] I've been here a year and a half. Your youngest version here is the pinstripes and fluffy hair, yeah? He was here before me, but has a mental block about my first few months here. Better that way, I was pretty angry with him.
Jack, Martha, Gwen, 3 versions of yourself, the Ponds and River came and went, sorry, and my Torchwood supplies vampires and others with non-lethal options for food. Vegan plasma. Lab-grown meat. Koishi might startle you a bit, but she's sweet! L3 keeps either arguing with or flirting with the TARDIS, not sure which, Fluffy's jealous either way. Jack and Martha are snogging, so don't bring up Mickey -- Jack told me. Mirajane is like my sister here. She's the bartender at Fairy Haven, so mind your manners for once, yeah? Fluffy and Sunglasses keep setting her off, and she bet me a round of drinks for all my fifty friends if I told her my story and it still left me angry. It did, but that's also how she adopted me or vice versa. She's dating Erza and they're both part of Fairy Tail guild. Jack works as a bartender there too sometimes, he runs the security half of Torchwood and I do the rest. Fluffy and Bowtie do the technological end. Doc Brown's living with Fluffy and me and works as assistant to Fluffy mostly. Stuff to do with the barriers.
[Up to now everything has been the patented ROSE TYLER DOMESTIC APPROACH, but she switches gears here, which is funny since she said for 13 to ask questions but...]
Reality barriers between us, the five cities, the gates, and the... it's not the void, Fluffy's been going mad trying to figure out what it is. But it's like the void. I think there's like some mad cthulu lovecraft freaky shit out there that would unmake the fabric of all reality. And I don't mean in the dalek and Davro--
OH BELGIUM!
Davros is here! I forgot?! How could I forget? Ahhhhhh he's doing yanno. The Davros-y thing though. Pretendin' he just wants friends and to better mankind ... err people-kind. Society and science and blah blah blah.
We warned Mavis, she's the Guardian of Fayren, Cassian is ex-guardian but I--
People just... leave sometimes. It's weird. Gives me chills. Back to their proper timeline, sure, but some of them are yanno, not alive then, and others only have found family from other worlds through places like this.
[Tsks.]
Supposedly there's spirits or gods or somethin' keepin' reality stable with the gates and all. The gates connect to the multiverses, usin' the pendants, but there's also barriers 'round each city, a LOT like New Vegas. And Everglade's is powered on fear, so I made a Haunted House. And over-scared some vampires. Hopefully made it up to the community with the lollipops but now we don't let vampires through. I hate doin' that, but near as I can tell, askin' them to give fear is like askin' 'em to give blood. Weird, but-- [Shrugs, parks, and turns around and hugs 13 hard!!!] 'm glad you're here!

[She climbed onto the bike behind her, wrapping her arms around Rose's waist and finding it too hard to resist pressing as close to her back as she could, so she didn't. She rested her head on her shoulder, telling herself it was so she could hear her better over the sound of the motorcycle, and held on tight.]
Don't touch the bike, got it! Think I can do that. [Her tone took on a bit of a grumble at the mention of her sunglasses-fond self.] Yes, I got to meet him and his bike. You...just missed him, actually.
[They could forego talking about Rose's Human Doctor, if she would also let them not talk about the exchange the two Time Lords had shared just before she'd picked up her.
Even if the way the timelines flowed together was becoming a little muddly for a certain narrator...Her brow furrowed as she listened to the information she was given, cataloguing it into separate mental groups.
~Things to ask about: Vampires? L3? Erza and Doc Brown
No, has to be a mistake on that one, and so many names!~Things to fix: Rose and one of herselves had a fight? Elder Gods possibly in a maybe-Void. DavRoS
...She didn't realize until a moment later that she had quite literally shouted that in Rose's ear. Must remember to keep the inside voice on the inside and not let it out onto the outside!]
You have to be joking! [She wrapped her arms more tightly around her. Protect Rose!] Attending to that is going to be my first course of action!
[The grimace didn't leave her face, though she forced herself to hold her tongue, letting the rest of the information fall into place in her head. Disappearances, people being made to live in this new place, taking them away from their homes, and then once they've moved on and settled into their new ones, repeating the process. Unnecessary cruelty. Creatures that considered themselves above the rules of time and space, thinking themselves Gods? Playing with the multiverse as if it were a child's Lego. A little Star Wars here, some Fantasy Castle there, mix in some Batman, and voila, a hodgepodge building block set where your favorite toys could play with each other!
It would have been fascinating on so many levels if it weren't equally troubling.
Her concerns were forgotten for a moment, though, as they parked, as Rose turned on the bike to hug her again, and she moved into it gladly, burying her face in her hair.]
I'm glad, too, Rose. Ohh, how I've missed you. I-...I mean-...! [she pulled away, catching herself, but not in time before she'd muttered the words and immediately looking guilty and concerned.] I-...I'm such an idiot. I didn't even ask when you were from...

[Doctor hugs are the best hugs.]
[Rose just snuggles completely!!!]
'Bout the last time you saw me too, I expect, from your reaction. Bad Wolf Bay with Meta. Still haven't worked out what I'll do if he comes. Obviously he couldn't live and work around Fluffy. Unless they work things out. And I'm sure my shagging Eyebrows will go over really well with him. [Sarcasm. Also... Rose... Bomb drop. Sense the timing better ffs.]
But I heard a little about... the future? So you never know. Don't give up hope, you might see me again, yeah? Outside of here I mean. You're stuck with me here, because I'll not let you go that easily! My Doctor. [SNUGGLE SNUGGLE.]
OH NO She got a case of the feels again!
So. Yeah. That was the end. For me, I mean. 'Cept for...[One more time. January 1st, 2005. Watching Rose and her mother walking home before dragging himself back into the TARDIS to regenerate. It was such a personal memory, and at the same time almost a silly one. Sad, sentimental old man, wanting so badly to say good bye and see her one last time and risking messing up the timeline just to do it. She didn't finish the thought, her nose curling a little, even though she couldn't see it.]
No, I don't know that it would be that bad. It's still us. We may want your time to ourselves, but I doubt he'd be jealous. We want what's best for yah, an' we know we wouldn't do anything t'hur-what?!?
[She pulled away, looking aghast at her.]
No. You didn't! He wou-...[Browser history. 24 years on Darillium. The shock melted instantly away.] What'm I even sayin'? Of course he would. He's not...er...Bow-Tie. [And if he's already lost Clara, maybe he's at the point that he's stopped denying himself the chance to actually have love again. Good for h i m?
But then her eyes glazed over slightly, mentally counting the years between, back home, and she sighed.]
Rose, I'm over two thousand years old. Back home...[She's given up hope so long ago that she's mourned her leaving, lived long enough to know that wherever she was, she and her human Doctor were both dust, and mourned their deaths. Sure, there was always the possibility that something impossible would become possible, and they would find each other again, out of order with their timelines, but for the Doctor, Rose Tyler had long-since become a cherished memory. In the end, that's all the Doctor would ever have. Memories.
The smile she gave her before she moved back into the hug was a sad one, this time, and she sighed. Buried her head in her shoulder in case her suddenly-watery eyes gave her away. Leaving here was going to be so cruel.] Yes, your daft old Doctor. [For as long as it lasted.]
Oh no!
[Rose's expression falls a little at the idea that he wouldn't get jealous.]
[Wouldn't he?]
[Bad Dog couldn't share her with Guitarist easily. She hadn't thought it would matter, but then... she'd taken him at his word about Jack too. She doesn't even have time to explain it before the rest of her words catch up to the Doctor, and the Doctor's flailing over Rose sleeping with Guitarist, and Rose just smirks a little in spite of herself. Still not even remotely apologetic, fight her.]
[Rose gently tugs her Doctor's cheeks.] So? Guitarist upset me most when he wanted to --
Fluffy too.
Just... don't give up on me, yeah? Keep fighting. As long as you exist, keep going.
Jack does it. [HUGS HARD. All her protectiveness of the Doctor is amped to 11 with this one somehow. Maybe because of Guitarist, maybe because she's female, Rose doesn't care enough to puzzle out why, what matters is that it IS.] You can too. I know you can. I believe in you. And yeah, Jack doesn't have a choice, but sorry to say, I'm not sure you do either. You can cry and you can rage about it, and you can try to end it all, but every time you do, all your friends are gonna band together and beg you not to. Do you really want to put us through that again?
Orrrrr...
[Pulls back with a giant beam, and takes the Doctor's hand in her own tugging gently inside of Fairy Haven.] You can come get chips and tea with me and enjoy existence, instead of just enduring it, yeah? Whaddaya say?
Man. Now she's even mORE worried about Guitarman!
She flinched only a little when Rose pinched her cheek, snorting and grinning, the apples of her cheeks looking far more pinchable then she would have hoped. If she wasn't careful, she suspected that might happen more often, knowing Rose the way she did. The way Rose held her so tight just reaffirmed everything she knew, and she sighed, nodding against her shoulder.]
I know, Rose. I wouldn't ever-...wait...[Something Rose said made her stop, though, her brow creasing deeply and reminded all over again of her argument with her younger self. Reminded of the state they'd been in just before regenerating.] Rose...did he-...did the Doctor...[How long had he been here, and what had he done? The worry that Rose seemed to have that she was suicidal came into sharp focus, now, and she kicked herself for having initially missed it.
But Rose tugged her off the bike and into the cafe before she could figure out how to most delicately form the question. She shook her head, following after her, plastering a smile on her face that didn't reach her eyes in the least.]
Alright, Rose Tyler. Chips and tea and havin' fun, sounds nice.
Ironically....
[As it was, however, Rose was more than happy to brush it all aside like always, in favor of momentary joys, throwing herself in whole-heartedly.]
So ask me anything you wanna know! Torchwood run by me and Jack does no weapons, o' course, but the Haunted House generates fear for people that need to eat it to survive and it fuels the barrier. Five cities, all with archways or hates that connect to people's home universes. Magic is a totally real thing here, how mad is that? And you just missed Halloween where everyone got turned into different species. I was an angel and Guitarist was a ghost and said I wasn't any different. [Such a mild comment, but she will treasure it forever!]
THREADJACK! YOU'RE ON HER TURF NOW, IT COUNTS!
Welcome back Rose! I'll bring you some chips for you and your friend in just a minute.
[Of course... she had no way of knowing who Rose's new friend was, but she knew Rose well enough to know she wouldn't turn down chips, so they wouldn't go to waste and it saved time for Rose asking.]
Do you want anything besides chips and tea?
I'm always up for a good threadjack! :V I've even jacked my OWN threads from time to time!
[Also RIP Mirajane I'm so sorry! XD][She listened dutifully as Rose led her inside, her mouth hanging open in something like awe, though her expression shifted in small ways with each new piece of information. Oh, yay! Jack's sworn off weapons?! That's lovely! Wait, there are creatures that feed off of fear? But Rose has it handled, wonderful Rose, she's so proud!] Magic! Like 'Leviosa' or like crooked noses and worts? [Ok, that was definitely something that caught her interest enough to interject excitedly. She may have been a thousands-years-old Time Lord, someone who'd seen all of space and time and held multiple doctorates in multiple multiple fields of science and engineering and history and cheese. But she was also an unabashed Harry Potter nerd. Read all the books, saw all the movies - all 48 of them - and owned a very small collection of toy wands because who could pass those up when they saw them???
Her nose wrinkled in amused disbelief, her head cocked back until her chin almost disappeared into her neck as she snorted]
Different species? I'm sad I missed that! Though is a Ghost a different species or simply a difference in phase state? A new type of energy? [And she smirked knowingly, leaning in just a little closer to put her free hand on Rose's arm.] My, my, if you've gotten him to give compliments, I'd have to say you're good for him. Not that I'm surprised, it's you.
[The sound of the other voice as they made their way through the bar finally distracted her from the information that was being thrown at her, and she looked up and around them from underneath the helmet she'd completely forgotten to remove, taking in the atmosphere of the place before she finally looked at the owner of the establishment.]
Oh, hullo! [She pulled away from Rose now, and her brain instantly began rapidfire checking everything she was doing as she approached the woman at an energetic clip. Be nice, she's Rose's friend, make a good impression, don't be awkward, people like small talk!] You must be Mirajane! Rose says you're like a sister to her! I'm the Doctor! [Does Mirajane like hugs? Because she's getting one whether she does or not. Bright smiles and wide eyes and arms wrapping around her in greeting before she's pulling away and looking at the bar again, her hands resting on her hips.]
Nice bar you have here, very shabby! Not many people like shabby, but I s'pose you do. Shabby bars. That's great! Tea and chips sounds lovely, do you have any biscuits? I love biscuits!
[And she just stands there, grinning as if she doesn't realize what just came out of her own mouth, or how most people would have taken it.]
PFFT ILU
[Did she just say the Doctor? She can't be the Doctor! She must be Rose's sister pulling her leg, or maybe a cousin? Probably a little too young to be her mum she's talked so much about, and she's pretty sure Rose's mum wouldn't pull that particular practical joke after everything they'd been through. She's so shocked she doesn't even register the hug until it's already over and she's sort of opening and closing her mouth, trying to get words out like, how?
...
Shabby? Did she just call her bar shabby?
...
Okay never mind, it was definitely the Doctor.]
Hello Doctor... Past or Future? Compared to the other three or four we have here already.
[She's just... not even phased anymore. It was if insulting her bar was the Doctor's way of snapping her back to cold hard reality, and that yes... they were all terrible at making good introductions.]
Also I'll have you know, this bar was built by hand. So try to use a different adjective than shabby? Maybe rough around the edges, or quaint if you're looking for a one word description?
[She's just gonna... sigh and continue working on getting their tea and chips.]
Mind you, you're still more polite than old and grumpy or sad eyes. At least you seem to think it being 'shabby' as you might call it, as some great thing. Fairy Tail, our mage guild, is a rather rowdy bunch, so bar fights are a bit of a norm around here. Now when you say biscuits... you're British so you mean those crumbly pastries you have with tea right? Or do you mean the ones that are more like oven rolls?
MOOSEY YOU STOLE MY TURN
[BASICALLY PREENS AT HEARING THAT THOUGH. HEEEEE.]
[And then... just laughs.] Chips and tea would be perfect, ta. And biscuits apparently.
[Takes one of the Doctor's hands and gives it a squeeze.] Fairy Haven is not shabby. It's my guild hall too, I'll have you know! [Shows off her guild mark again.] And Jack works here still!
[And apologetically to Mirajane:] Sorry, you know how the Doctor is. I promise, she's the nicest of him so far. After Guitarist. Bit of a relief, innit? [TROLLFACE.]
Basically she just drops into a place like a tiny bomb. BOOM. WHAT? WHY THIS THING NOW?
Oh! Hand-built, like good, old-fashioned construction! 17th-century style? No, 18th. Maybe. I dunno, they all tend to get built the same way when it's done by hand, don't they? And as far as I can tell, I'm the oldest. At least, that is to say if by "old and grumpy" you mean "white-haired and Scottish," and that he is the eldest here before me. [She goes to point at her own head to emphasize "white-haired," and ends up jamming her finger against the helmet, reminding herself that it's on and fumbling with it for a moment before it's off, her hair mussed and sticking out in strange directions around her face now that it's free.
And then she's pointing at Mirajane energetically, bouncing between thoughts as if she hadn't even thought the previous ones.]
Quaint, yes, brilliant! [But then she looks confused for all of the blink of an eye. Crumbly??? Rolls?] OH! No, like a cookie, if you're American! Wafers? Confectionaries! Custard Cremes are my favorite, at least in this body.
[She looks so pleased at the thought of one of those tiny, tan-colored sandwiches of pure sugar that, with her energy, one might think she subsided on a diet of nothing but. But then she was looking back at Rose, as if insulted.]
And I beg your pardon, do you mean I'm the nicest after him??? I would most certainly beg to differ! Or wait, do you mean I'm the Doctor that comes after him? [All offense is gone again, replaced by confusion. And then her head whips back around to look at Mirajane again.] Hold on, wait, you just said Mage's Guild, didn't you? Like...Actual, proper magic! [And back to Rose, pointing at her, now, and marching over to her again. It seems as if the information overload has reached its peak, and now she's just spilling the information right back out as she takes it in, cataloguing it in her brain and making sense of it all. Manic and hyper and definitely in investigation mode.]
You said it was your guild, too? And Jack! Do you two do magic, now!?! That's amazin'!
1/2 Welp, Mirajane is just... going to answer all the raving questions cause that's how she do.
Yes we didn't use the kind of construction you might see in the more technologically advanced cities, we used hammers, nails, saws, axes, paint, the works! Yes, I meant the white haired Scottish one when I said old and grumpy. Cookies is a term I'm a bit more familiar with, but I don't think we have any custard right this moment. I'll have to ask one of our local pastry shops if they might be able to whip up something special for you, or maybe I'll try my hand at it if I go shop for the ingredients.
[That was quite a bit she explained all at once, wasn't it? She was just watching her all bemused as she started getting their bowl of chips ready and pouring their tea.]
Hmmhmmhmm~! You're actually the first doctor to ask me nicely about magic, so perhaps I'll give you a quick lesson. You two can eat and drink while I explain. Rose, you might want to pay attention too in case you'd like to tell the rest of your Doctors and friends, because I don't do seminars on magic every day, but since the bar is pretty empty today...
[She placed their bowl of chips right in the center of the table, two cups of steaming tea, a tea pot with more, and assorted sugars, creams, and yes even some tea cookies ranging from jammy dodgers, to chocolate chip.]
