01: Open to All!
[Action]
If someone had been standing in the small cave filled with the glowing water and a single silver cocoon, their first inclination that the occupant had awoken would have been the very loud BANG, followed by the muffled shout of pain that came from inside. When the Doctor woke up, at least in this body, she tended to do so immediately. Doing so while contained within a small, metal egg without first looking to make sure your head wasn't aimed directly for the lid was a quick way to give yourself one hell of a rude awakening.
She groaned, more in frustration then any actual pain, nursing her forehead for a moment before she looked up with bleary eyes, confusion worming it's way into her gaze as her surroundings became clear.
Alright, first thing; not the TARDIS. She couldn't feel the familiar vibrations, nor could she feel the telepathic connection that told her she was home. That was, obviously, her most immediate concern, but not the only one. Second thing; Ryan, Yaz, and Graham certainly couldn't fit into this tiny pod with her. Their own pods? Still on the TARDIS?
"Hullo? Guys?" She waited, listening, fifteen breaths, but no answer came. So, either not within earshot or able to hear her from outside the pod. She shifted where she lay, first noticing the soft silks that lined the thing. Meant for comfort? Or as decoration. The fact that the thing resembled some sort of coffin didn't go unnoticed, but she certainly didn't remember dying, not that her memory could be depended on 100% of the time. There had been enough times in the past when the Doctor had been caught unawares and not been able to remember it afterward.
The next thing, or things, she noticed were the items that tumbled from her chest as she moved, dropping onto the cushion beneath her. She frowned, shifting to reach for them and press against the top with her other arm, finding it easy enough to open, when one weren't bearing all of their weight and momentum into their forehead as they sat up abruptly. The lid of the thing removed, she clambered out, landing in ankle deep water, her nose curling as she felt it sinking into her boots and soaking her socks all the way through.
"Oh, lovely. The least you could have done would be to leave me a pair of wellies." She snatched the items from inside, tucking them under her arm as she turned to stare at the area around her, eyes dazzled as they adjusted to the dim light and the bright lights coming from the water itself. Huffing out indignantly at the realization that there were no other signs of her friends inside the small inlet she'd found herself in, she turned back to the pod, looking it over curiously, studying it for any markings or features that would indicate just who or what had created it. Nothing.
Not even a scan with the sonic was able to give her an inkling of its origin, and she sighed, tucking the tool back into her coat's breast pocket and wading through the water toward the nearby shore. Once she were somewhere dry, she could take a few minutes to survey the items that had been left for her in her metal, watery life-coffin.
[The Doctor smiled brightly into the camera on the phone that she'd been so graciously left by who only knew, looking much happier then she felt, her head tilted curiously to the side.]
Hullo, Genessia! [She repeated the word a few times, testing different pronunciations. Hard G's, soft G's, long and short vowels. Eventually shook her head as if to clear it of the wayward thought.] Nevermind, I'm distracting myself, not important! I seem to have found myself on your lovely, glowing beach, missing my friends and my ship! I don't suppose any of you have seen any new, out of place blue police boxes out and about, by any chance? I'd be most appreciative if you could direct me there, if so.
Also, if any of you have seen three humans going by the names Ryan, Yasmine, or Graham, I'd be happy to know that they were safe and sound. They're under my protection, and I promised to get them home, safe and sound.
[She let the unspoken warning in her tone linger for a moment before grinning widely and waving.]
Anyway! Nice to meet you all! I'm the Doctor!

Koishi shoved the entire brown bag full of tacos into 13's hands. "Here. You can have all of these." Her smile was so bright.
"You're kind of right. Kami feed on faith though. Youkai need humans to a acknowledge their existence through fear. Though usually sis and I can consume fear clinging to flesh rather than indirectly. We still need humans to believe we exist though."

[She looked rather shocked when the entire bag of tacos got dropped in her arms, looking at it and then back up at her with a wide, grateful smile.]
Well thank you, dear. Would you like a cup of tea? If you know of a cafe, I'd be happy to pay in return for the tacos! Apparently, whoever kidnapped me decided to leave me a small pile of cash. [And the Doctor usually ended up busking and thieving whatever money they needed, if they had no other way to acquire what they were after. Money was little use for her.
Her eyes narrowed thoughtfully at the explanation, though there was no judgement in the expression.]
Is that so. You know, that reminds me of a creature I once met. A Minotaur, or what humans mistakenly believed to be one. Alien, really. His kind fed on faith, too, though I had initially thought it fed on fear. [putting too much thought into that creature's life, however, brought back sad memories, and her gaze drifted just a little in thought, before she forced the look away and forced a little smirk to take it's place.]
You feed on fear? That's hard to believe! I'd say you're the cutest fear-feeder I've ever encountered! [It wasn't said in a hurtful way, only stating the facts. Maybe she had seen too many horrible things in her long, long life, but this small girl and her large, floating eye looked more at home eating cupcakes and playing with dolls then an actual creature that needed to draw out a person's terror to survive.]

She did a little twirl in the air. "And I'm cute because I'm good at hiding my teeth and claws. If I wanted to be scary I'm really good at it. But still I don't have to try very hard to look scary since I can manipulate the subconscious. I'm really good at it too!" Now there was a frightening ability. Though it did explain a lot.
"Tea?" She tilted her head. "I like tea. There are lots of tea places. There used to be one called Teanie Teas that was good but I dunno if its still there since Luke isn't around anymore. But we could go to the cat-eye place." It would be a rather quick search to find out she was talking about the Cat's Eye Cafe. "I like the tea there. It's hot and good and goes well with all sorts of little cakes."

The thought that Koishi had ended up forcing her own powers to behave differently then they were meant to made a sympathetic look cross her face. She chose to focus on what she could do, however, focus on the positive.
"I see, so part of your telepathic abilities, then. Telepathic shape-shifting, as it were? Do you project the form you want others to see into our heads, or is it physical as well?"
She perked up when Koishi expressed interest in tea, smiling at her as she clutched the bag to her chest to make it easier to casually carry.
"Sounds delightful! Why don't we go, then? It'll help me get my bearings around this place, too. Give me a chance to see the sights, maybe find my TARDIS on the way there, yeah?"
no subject
"Well, no. Not really. My powers aren't supposed to do that. It was kind of an accident." She tilted her head. "I dunno how it works though. It mostly just happens. I can do psychic things physically though. I can even crack stone!"
Those were some potent psychic abilities.
"Yeah! We should go now! Tea is best when it's hot and-" She stopped mid-ramble, pausing in air. Kind of sideways. "TARDIS! Oh! That's the nice box lady. Sometimes I want to give her a hug but I can't find her. And then I thought maybe a button would find her but I got scolded a lot. So instead I hug the glowing thing or the railing or the doorway instead. I know where she is! We should go and visit her! Maybe she wants tea too!"

"Telekinesis! That's very powerful, not everyone can manipulate physical mattter like that! It's even more rare then telepathy!"
And then the grin shifted sharply, confusion followed by realization that shifted into vibrant, gleeful surprise. Oh, Koishi, if only you knew! The fact that the TARDIS had taken enough of a shining to Koishi, that the girl was seeking out her consciousness to show her affection, was a strong enough sign of the type of person Koishi was. Even if she hadn't already warmed to her, the Doctor would have instantly taken a shining to her because of that!
"Yes, the TARDIS, big blue box! She doesn't have a physical body, not like you an' me. She is the box! She has a telepathic interface, that's why you can feel her there, but if you talk to her, she can hear you, and she likes any sort of affection you want to give 'er. She may not say much where you can hear 'er, but if you give 'er hugs, even if it's the railing, she knows." Oh, she looks so pleased at the thought that Koishi is so nice to the TARDIS, all bubbly grins and affection in her eyes. Anyone who was so kind to the TARDIS went up greatly in her eyes. "She doesn't drink tea, but if you take me to 'er, I can show you the kitchen! She's my oldest friend, we take care of each other, an' she always tries her best to give you what you need. She'll have lots of tea, an' cakes an' biscuits an' all sorts of other foods!"
She didn't seem to notice, in all her excitement and relief, that Koishi was talking about her as if she'd been there for a long time already. If she had given it any thought, she would have realized that that meant the ship had been here longer then the Doctor had.

Koishi was practically vibrating at this point. Clearly she really liked the TARDIS. "Why can't she drink tea? You should make it so she can drink tea. Tea is wonderful and she's missing out if she can't drink it!" Just wait until she found out about the cookies.
"I know about the tea. She has lots of all sorts of things. And there's a cabinet full of western alcohol too. I didn't bother with it because human alcohol doesn't really work on me. I need oni sake instead."
Already she had taken 13 by the hand and was starting to tug her along. Presumably toward the TARDIS.
