For the record, let me state that not only do I not own a yacht, I also do not live in Nova City, for that matter. And as far as the yacht goes, I have neither the funds nor the personal inclination to purchase one anyhow.

And I have yet to meet anyone here named either 'Newt' or 'Thor', so I doubt that I hate them so much as to ban them for personal property I don't actually own.

Mm, my apologies, but I have no talent for either boats or parties.

The gossip is amusing, isn't it? A yacht wouldn't serve you for much other than bragging rights.

It might be amusing if I had any idea what was going on. And I've no need or want for a boat of any kind, anyway, given that I'm no sailor.

You should expect odd rumors. I wouldn't pay them any mind unless an angry mob is at your door.

Oh, I don't. And it would not be my first time dealing with an angry mob, so I imagine I can handle things even if it goes so far.

You sound interesting! We should get to know one another. My name is Gellert Grindelwald.

[There's a pause where he seems to be trying to gauge Gellert's sincerity. After a few seconds, he seems to decide he seems to be earnest enough, and he answers:]

My name is Dr. Jezebel Disraeli.

[He is genuine and quite earnest. He likes people that make waves and march forward regardless of others disagreeing or hating them.]

Well met, Doctor. Do you like tea?

[Gellert's enthusiasm is surprising to him, since, well...he's not used to people liking him, not right away. Even Cassian had had to take time to warm up to him.]

Yes, I enjoy a cup of tea.

[Well he's unhinged too, so like calls to like?]

I make a fine cup of tea and hot chocolate if that is what you prefer. You should come over when you are free.

...if you like, I can. [IS THIS HOW PEOPLE MAKE FRIENDS :O] I don't know where you live, though.

[He gives directions to his home. Get ready for a place of Dark Magic, Jezebel!]

[Jezebel hesitates for a moment, clearly still cautious -- though, really, what's the worst Gellert can do? Kill him again?]

I can come over now if you wish.

[Where's the fun in having tea with a corpse?]

The door is open. Be careful in the Everglade.

[He lets out a small laugh.]

Ah, never fear -- I live in the Everglade. I will be there soon, then.

[And it's not too long before there is a polite, slightly hesitant knock on the door.]

I thought you might like the atmosphere. [Gellert answers the door with a flick of his wand, smiling in welcome at Jezebel.] Come in, make yourself comfortable! I must warn you, I am a Wizard, so if you see anything strange, it's normal...for the most part.

[Jezebel blinks, almost as surprised by Gellert's bubbliness as the casual mention of wizardry. Still, he does walk in and glance about, taking in the sight of his home with an easy curiosity, looking for any such signs of magic.]

Ah, thank you. I'll have to keep that in mind, then.

[He notices the wand and asks:] I assume that's a magical wand, then?

[Wizardry is casual for him; he can't imagine living without Magic. How do Muggles stand it? Oh right, because they live in perpetual ignorance.

Inside, there are potion vials, books opened to various spells in old, archaic texts and of course interesting potion ingredients.]

Yes. [The Elder Wand is so much more than a mere wand.] Every Witch or Wizard in my world has one.

[Jezebel keeps his hands to himself, but his eyes do wander over towards the archaic texts and the potion vials, parsing them out and making note of them silently. It strikes him that the magic of Gellert's world must be wholly different than that he's seen in his own, where magic is done with rituals instead of spells. And more expansive, too, since it can be used for much more benign ends than he'd seen in London.]

I've never seen one before. But then, I don't think I've met any wizards before, either.

[Which is not the same as never having seen magic, but he doubts anyone in Delilah would have dubbed themselves wizards.]

Aw, that's a shame. I was curious to know how much would be considered a mega-nerd to be blacklisted for it.

I'm sure there are all sorts of behaviors I could conceivably be irritated with enough to ban someone if I did own a boat, but that is a very large 'if'.

A very large if, huh? What is the number one irritable behaviour for you? I am admittedly curious.

That seems like unwise ammunition to be handing out.

Though I suppose if I did own a boat, damaging it would earn a very quick dismissal.

That much is obvious and ammo it could be, but at the same time, it would cause me to know what not to do.

Just basic logic.

I don't have a list of particular things that irritate me beyond general rudeness and obnoxiousness.

Then I should be good then at least. I will keep the trolling to the minimum as well... maybe.

But on a serious note. Any rumours you might hear in the future. Ignore them. It happens so often it's just best to do that instead of trying to clarify that it's not true.

Unless of course someone actually brings it up.

I thought it better to get ahead of it, in the situation where someone was expecting me to allow someone on a boat. Better to deal with it head-on than in person.

Usually, people who are pendent wearers don't seem to really talk much about the rumours unless it's about them and they are saying it's not true. It's the natives that do and they don't have this device like we do.

I'll nail a sign to my front door saying 'I don't own a boat', then. That should get the point across.

Just need to do it for a week, then you should be fine. You could of messed with people about it though if you had been the type.

I'm not the type -- if I did, people would assume they'd be justified in doing something similar in turn and I'd rather not.

Sadly, that is usually the fun of it. That or some just don't. Just depends on the person really.

Not really. I wasn't allowed to as a child. [Unspoken: because he was always sick.] And there was never much reason to learn as an adult.

[He can guess the many reasons, but none of the matter as long as Cassian can keep a mental catalog of all the ways to make sure Jezebel doesn't die.]

Maybe I should show you how sometime. Just in case you suddenly do want a yacht.

I promise, I was not planning to.

[He smiles slightly at that offer, though.]

If you like. I do not need a yacht, but it would not be a bad skill to have.

I hear it prevents drowning.

[He wasn't the joking sort, but Jezebel's smile was worth the attempt.]

When it warms up, then.

[And in turn, he even earns a tiny chuckle.]
