[As the video comes to life, it shows a petite girl with short, messily cut red hair and startling golden eyes. She seems to be fiddling with the device until the last minute, causing it to shake and the camera to move all over the place.]

How- Does- This- Woooork? Is it magic? I'm not picking up any magical auras. [She begins tapping it with her finger.] Hellooo? Are you alive? My name is Silicon. I know this is troublesome of me, little box friend, but might you assist me? Are you my friend, or my enemy-- [She must have been waking while she played with the device, because Weiss' welcoming message can suddenly be heard in the background.

Silicon shrieks and throws the device against a wall.]

GHOOOOST!

[action]
[This is followed by Silicon tearing out of the Bay as fast as her legs can carry her. A big thank you to everyone who tried to make the Bay a calm and informative experience. But you missed the mark on this girl.]

Ghooost! Waaah-haaa I don't know any holy arts! What do I do, what do I do--- Ha! [She skids to a stop, still in a panic. Realizing she's surrounded by civilians and afraid she's led the ghost into this ?town? It looks funky. Silicon spins her long wand and turns to face the "ghost."] I-I can't let it hurt these people--- eh?

Where'd it go? Why's it not following me? H-Hey, I'm worthy prey, aren't I?

[And now she's back! Having returned to the Bay to pick up her device, after someone hopefully told her what it is. She's poking at it again, but this time she's not shaking it or anything.]

H-Hello? Is it true I can talk to people in this box? Is anyone there? May I speak to someone, please?

[Totori was currently exploring mostly as a means to figure out where she could get what she needs to have some comforting thing that's similar to home, but as she turned the corner what she hadn't been expecting was someone screaming ghost.]

A ghost? Where? Unless you are saying all these people are... But that would be silly.

[She just seemed confused as she walked on over.]

You seem a little lost like I am.

[Totori's attire is something familiar to Silicon: Out of all of the people standing around Genessia, this girl looks the most like someone who travels and fights monsters. So she hops over, reaching for Totori's hands.

Serious as can be.]

There is a ghost hiding in the cave... Stranger. We must unite and defeat it, before it drains the souls from everyone in this town...!

[Totori couldn't help but be surprised. She seemed friendly enough so taking her hands while surprising wasn't that bad.]

A ghost... I don't remember there being a ghost when I arrived there. Did you see what it looked like?

[Because knowing is always the best first thing to do.]

But don't worry we will find the ghost.

She had white hair and very pale skin, and she wore a strange outfit... She was at the exit, like she was guarding it.

[Silicon remains tense, even with the promise of Totori's help.]

You don't suppose she haunts this town, do you?

Oh, that thing... I don't think she actually leaves that spot.

[When she moved she vanished and she hasn't seen her around since so maybe it was just always stuck there.]

We are safe in that aspect at least, but she seemed like a very helpful ghost.

She doesn't? Wait, then--- [Silly gasps,] That's so horribly rude of me! I thought she was haunting the town... But perhaps she's just stuck here?

We have to free her!

I mean I haven't seen her since, so either she's invisible or she is just forever stuck there. Which... is kind of sad really.

[She nods slightly. Of course that should be something they need to do.]

We should, but... how?

Hm.

A holy item? A prayer? Beating her up?

There are so many ways to do it that it's a bit overwhelming... [But Silly is calming down.] Sorry. I shouldn't drag other people into my adventures, huh?

But I don't have my alchemy to make items that are holy.

[Downside to being in a new world she figured, she found herself frowning slightly at the thought before shaking her head, the frown having gone.]

It's fine. You were scared and needed help to deal with it.

[Hello, panicking girl.]

It's not a ghost. It's a hologram. A recording.

[Silicon holds her stance, only briefly looking over her shoulder.

That man doesn't look like someone who fights monsters. He looks like nobility, actually! She has to protect him, for the sanity of his people..!]

A hoolagrom? Got it. [Obviously does not "got it." the idea that it's a recording, like a book, is so absurd that Silicon passes the thought off.] Has it plagued this town for long?

[47 repeats himself, enunciating loudly and slowly.]

It was here before I was, but it's harmless. Come look.

[If she'll follow, he'll lead the way back to the hologram and approach it. When it starts its spiel again, he waves an arm through the hologram, and looks back at her.]

[Silicon is still horribly uneasy, even when they approach the hologram again. She stands with her staff at the ready, her legs shaking with fright.]

... That's weeeird! Is it an illusion? A trap?

[He steps back away from the hologram.]

Oh, um...

[Silicon only looks at the hologram briefly. It's kind of creepy and still making her uncomfortable. That, and it confuses her right from the get-go.]

What is... "another world?" Is that what you call cities--- er, places you live? We call them cities where I'm from... [She shakes her head.] Which district is this?

[Silicon has yet to notice the video, but she does hear a voice. She loosens her grip on her device, which is now warm and seems to be humming... breathing? It must be alive after all!]

Ah, yes. Hello. My name is Silicon, and uh... Sorry. I've never met a talking box before. How do I hold you? Does this hurt?

I'm not actually the box or in the box.

[And then she catches on to the fact that this girl might not be from a very technologically advanced world.]

Imagine that the device in your hand is like...a magic mirror or book. So I'm a normal sized person and you're a normal sized person, and we can talk to each other through these devices and we both look tiny to each other while using them.

[ She happened to witness the first video, but before she could say anything the girl was frightened off she she was a little relieved to see her appear once more later. She gives her a gentle smile. ]

[She sets the device down on the ground, which gives Kyrie a view of the ceiling. Silicon doesn't realize how the camera works yet.]

Sorry for putting my hands all over you. That was pretty rude of me. Are you okay?

[ A-ah... that is the sweetest response! This girl must not be used to technology like this. Kyrie couldn't really blame her, she felt similarly when she first arrived here. ]

[Silicon is sitting on the floor, legs tucked under her, and looking at the device.]

I was told something like... I can use this to ask questions? The truth is, I think I’m more confused than I realized. Apparently I’m in another “world,” but... What is that? Is that your word for cities... uh, City is what my people call the place they live.

The way I like to understand it is.. well do you know about different planets back home? I like to think we all somehow got pulled into another planet different from our own.

It's about as real as you and me I believe haha... But I can't really explain it any better than that I'm afraid.

I don't see any ghosts here. I cannot say that I have seen any, not in my world, and outside of a shivery tale of terror, certainly not the sort that would give one cause for alarm.

No way... Sir, there's definitely a ghost in that wet cave over there!

[Silicon points towards the cave. This man, well looking to be from her idea of the upperclass, at least looks like someone from her world.

She isn't sure if he's someone who would have left the city walls for exploring, though.]

She's got white hair and fancy clothes, and her eyes look like death!

[He'll look past her as if to determine there's nothing out of the ordinary, then looks back to her.]

That? Ah, that feminine person was a fabrication, a kind of... captured moving image. It can't harm you, though I doubt that ghosts - if they exist at all - could affect us, much less harm us.

[He's trying to be reassuring, but we wonder how he's succeeded.]

Because I'm worth the hunt! I'll put up a fight, and I'll give that ghost a real run for their dead-person money!

Well... No! Not particularly brave, but I am a ranged fighter and-- [Silicon pats her giant coat pockets. She doesn't have any potions with her.]

Yes, there is. A peculiar girl with long white hair and icy eyes. Do you know anything about her?
