[At first the video shows Link tilting and examining the phone, seeming to try and evaluate it even though he is clearly aware that the feed is running. After a moment he finally fixes the view more on his face to show a serious-looking young man with blonde hair tied back in a neat braid.]
I can't say that I've ever been held captive somewhere with captors who were so upfront about the fact that I was even kidnapped in the first place. Or where they spent so much time and effort on appearing... Accommodating.
[He pauses a beat before frowning.]
But it's clear to me that they are also trying to keep us complacent. Has anyone done any serious investigating into who exactly brought us here or why? I have no intention of trusting the local government obviously, but I've heard about these "Guardians". Are they more reliable?
[Action]
[Link is taking his time explore the layout of Genessia City, attempting to do some investigating on his own and become accustomed to the layout of the place. It's important to understand this new setting as thoroughly as possible if he has any hope of escaping after all, so he is coming at this from the same angle he would any other investigation or mission. He tries to explore both side-streets and major roads when possible, although he does try to appear nondescript and not draw too much attention to himself as much as possible.
... Wait, is that a pastry shop?
The blonde freezes in front of Cake Town, staring almost longingly at the displays in the window before shaking his head hard. No! Now is not the time to give into temptation! But it's been a long time since he had any sweets... In the end Link just ends up standing there looking inside almost pitifully.]

action;
Today's task. Food and Allen had managed to grab a few bags and had been planning on heading back to Fayren. With his little companion Minccino by his side and Timcampy flying on ahead, he was going over what he was going to do for the rest of the day.
Maybe a bit of training would be possible. Maybe with someone else. But if he did that with who? Bulla maybe? He hasn't really trained with her much so it would be interesting. With the thoughts and ideas going through his head Tim had managed to go further away, hovering in front of Cake Town. Soon spotting a familiar face and before Allen would come around the corner Tim had decided to simply fly around.
Hello. Nice to see you.]
no subject
Timcampy?!
[Instantly the Crow was on high alert, eyes darting up and down the street nearby. Part of him considered fleeing and attempting to watch from the shadows and see if anyone came for Tim, knowing that there was only one person who was likely to be accompanying it. But would it be the Fourteenth? Or would it be... Link decided it didn't matter. Regardless of who it was he had been given a duty, and he shouldn't allow something as silly as captivity to keep him from at least gathering information and attempting to fulfill his mission. So he looked back to Tim, tilting his head.]
Are you here alone?
no subject
[At least he couldn't get lost anymore after having been here for a few months now. But he really didn't want to have to deal with chasing a cat because he got eaten or something. As he turned the corner, he found himself freezing on the spot, his Pokemon companion hitting hid leg in the process before looking from Allen to the other where Tim still currently was.
Allen really hadn't been expecting his day to turn into seeing someone from his world for more importantly someone hadn't ever really expected to see. It was at least enough of a surprise for him to drop the bags, causing food to fall and roll away.
After a brief moment Allen was finally able to get words out.]
When did... I mean...How?
[Considering the last thing he remembered and all, he had a lot of questions, but he didn't know where to start, at least until he remembered he had dropped food.]
Ah...I hope nothing broke or I might be in trouble. [He moved to kneel down as he started to pick up, Miccino already using his tail to sweep some toward him.]
Are you okay? I... guess I should start. [Because he didn't exactly know what happened all things considering.]
no subject
I'm fine. And what about you, Walker?
[A glance at the younger man, now that he's closer.]
no subject
I-I'm fine. Just... wasn't expecting to see anyone from my world here, especially you considering what I last remember now.
[With the whole incident that lead to him leaving the Order thing. Good times.]

Video
Ah, as for investigating. We've started putting our best foot forward. You can visit the GSRF for more information!
Video
And is there any information you've found as of yet regarding who's in charge here?
no subject
I don't know who our captor is exactly, but what I've learned so far implies something is beyond that barrier... One sec. [She slowly pans the camera skyward,] There's a barrier around the city that keeps us in, but it's also keeping something out.
no subject
[He peers a little closer to the video before looking up himself, then back down.] Interesting. And do you have any guesses on what that something is?

[That's Ted's way of saying: "don't buy it"]
Well, welcome to the world. I'm Ted. Once I've got a name to work with, I can furnish your other inquiries.
Video
[He looks wary but concedes.] Howard Link.
Re: Video
Huh! Never had a Howard before. Welcome again. As for the Guardians, it depends, but on the whole I'd say "no". Political ambition usually doesn't pair with honesty. On the whole they prefer peace and quiet over all else. They're not the type to know or nurture virtuous noise.
no subject
So Guardians are a politically-supported position as opposed to a protective force? And I'm not looking to make any "virtuous noise", I'm simply looking for information that could be pertinent in leaving this place.

action / god bless you link
It's precarious at best, honestly.
...but once she makes it out of the door she notices Link, and does her best to peek around the boxes in her arms. It's a ridiculous sight, really.] Oh, were you thinking about making a purchase?
no subject
For all his concerns about work and dubious loyalties he still has common courtesy, so even before he answers he steps forward and holds the door for her so she at least isn't trying to multitask. He considered grabbing a box to steady it but thought better of it; suddenly taking something from a woman is decidedly bad decorum.]
More importantly- do you need help carrying those?
no subject
The offer of help draws her out of her thoughts and she smiles, just faintly.] If you could spare the time, I would appreciate it. It's a bit of a walk from here to Fayren. I'd be happy to repay you with one of the cupcakes if you'd like.
[she was going to offer one anyway, to be honest.]
no subject
Once Azura is safely through the door he closes it before taking one of the boxes from her with a polite nod.]
Lead the way.

voice
Been here for a week and not much of a complaint to be seen on the network about much of anything at all, unless you count the odd argument against the old rumor mill.
[The voice on the communicator sounds... tinny, static vaguely lacing each word, as if filtered through an old radio]
I think you might be hard pressed to find any substantial amount of people digging for the truth around here, friend.
no subject
Does that go for yourself as well, then?
no subject
Heck, even if you don't find many more Nosy Nellies around here, I'd be willing to snoop around.

[He raises an eyebrow.]
I take it that you aren't as complacent, then? Or you at least see the problem.
no subject
I just got here, too. But even if ya set aside that barrier there's still somethin' very wrong going on here.
I want ta find out what that is.
