[Well, that sucked, waking up in a new place for the umpteenth millionth time. But this time it wasn't some planet to be conquered or waking up in what was essentially Hell. Given the information presented to him, as despite the appearance he was still keen to learn what the hell was going on in his surroundings, this wasn't... some new brand of Hell for him. Huh.

Which might be why that screen is flicking on with the appearance of this man probably being a little more intimidating than most. Even if he's merely got his arms crossed and leaning against a wall of a building not far from the Bay.]

Useful information to have right out of the gate, appreciated. But two questions extra.

One: Anyone know the logistics of being, what I can only assume, alive again? I seem to have the whole flesh and blood and breathing thing again but I'd rather not press that luck in case there's a catch to it.

Two: Nearest clothing store, this weather is garbage and clearly this isn't doing anything to help with the temperature.

You just get here, and the first thing you do is complain that it's cold?

[ For someone who had gone through a similar situation not long ago, Vegeta has little to no empathy. ]

What's the last thing you remember before getting here? I'm curious. [ For reasons obvious to the two of them. Just to be sure that this Nappa was his Nappa, and not one from an alternate timeline or universe. ]

[Of course the first thing upon seeing him is his expression falling just a small bit, should be more than enough to confirm that question.]

I already stick out enough among the ants without the armor adding to it. [It's still absolutely fucking freezing, but when you're disgustingly tall compared to most normal humans, trying to somewhat blend in is a priority.

The question proper has his attention flicking to the side before he's on the move to somewhere less crowded.]

I think the first question I asked should clue you into that enough, Vegeta. [Even if he looks older than Nappa first remembers, to be expected if he's been dead for as long as he's suspecting he was.]

[ It was so long ago for him that the memory almost makes him want to laugh, but instead he just doesn't try to hide his shit-eating grin. ]

What can I say? I was a little rash in my younger years. It is unexpected to see you here, but I should learn not to be surprised anymore about what happens here.

[ Vegeta must look so much older than he once was. Of course his hair was the same, but his clothes. He wore that same pink badman dress shirt that Bulma liked so much, but with long sleeves underneath to keep out the cold. Seeing the old Saiyan armor was quite nostalgic. ]

You'll be pleased to know that I've grown even more powerful than you could possibly imagine, so don't even think about revenge.

[ A pause. ]

I suppose I could help you buy some clothes.

[About the same as he expected, really, that attitude having not changed in the slightest. He's remaining silent through the whole thing, taking in the video and taking note of the changes to get an idea in his head of about how much older he is than what Nappa remembers. Of course that shirt gets a slow raise of a brow, though he's not saying a word about it, not yet. That'd be ammunition in the future.]

Revenge? What would the point in that be? I've seen who else has ended up on the other side and I know damn well the stories I've heard from them. I'm not as out of the loop as it might seem. [Seeing Frieza strung up around singing stuffed animals and the like was probably one of the best days of his afterlife, quite frankly.]

I wouldn't be opposed to the idea, I'd be curious as to how much stronger you've gotten, if what I've heard is right.

[ He wouldn't want to have to kill Nappa again after he'd just gotten there, so it's a relief he doesn't want to fight for now. Vegeta wasn't sure when setting a good example for his children became a thing, but it was, even if the children he had here were practically adults. Which was something else he probably wasn't going to bring up right away. ]

I remember hell. I figured out pretty fast that this place isn't it.

[ The scenery behind him changes as he heads toward Nappa's location. It was hard to forget where The Bay was, but his energy signature was easy enough to discern. ]

I'll show you. Train with me, and maybe you can catch up some day. [ Flying was the quickest way to get there, but it would still take some time. ]

[Knowing his luck this place would find some way to make his life... second life? More miserable than it had already been, so he wasn't terrible keen on the idea in the first place, that and even the most prideful of sorts could figure out when and who to pick fights with. This was neither the time, place, or the person he wanted to do any of that mess with.

Of course he's catching that energy signal easy enough, something that he'd sort of figured out in his time being dead. It's more interesting to use for someone he actually knows and discerning easily enough just how much the difference was between their power.

Well, this was certainly more interesting than it was going to be in the beginning.]

I'm not sure whether to be flattered or annoyed. [Of course there's the vaguest hint of amusement in his tone, nowhere near serious.]

[ Unless sensationalized elections were as bad as Frieza's reign over what was left of the Saiyan race, he was sure Nappa would be able to adjust just fine. Probably faster than he had, all things considered. ]

The fact that you feel both proves it's you and not someone inhabiting your body. Which is refreshing.

[ He's already on the way when it occurs to him that he has no knowledge about fashion, and this endeavor is more along the lines of Bulla's expertise, but it's too late to turn back now. They'd manage. ]

There are other Saiyans here, as well. Kakarot, and my...offspring. [He clears his throat, almost daring Nappa to say something about it.]

[They're Saiyans, they'll probably at least get something functional instead of... ridiculous. But that's something to figure out later.]

I doubt anyone would bother with that. [What they would gain taking over his body versus someone else, who knows. He's not going to dwell on it for too long given the comment about offspring, completely ignoring the Kakarot comment.]

Offspring?

[ Functionality is always better. They'd probably agree on most things. ]

It's a long story, Nappa, but I have a son. And a daughter. [ And a wife, but he's not sure he wants to go down that road. ]

I'm nearly there. [ Vegeta ends the video feed once he's close enough to spot the giant cueballed head of his friend. He lands steps away from him, looking him up and down to size him up as he would a stranger. ]

I see why you're freezing. I forgot how ridiculous and impractical these things were.

[And Vegeta's still as short as he remembers, but he certainly has changed and he's not quite sure how to feel about it. At least he's alive, he guesses.]

Not like we went to a lot of cold planets for it to matter. [He's never been a big fan of anything cool weather-wise to begin with so this cold and snow bullshit is further sparking his temper, but it'll take more than this to really set him off.]

Not to rub it in, but I vaguely recall mentioning something about half-breeds and that being an advantage. Pretty sure. [No, Nappa, don't.]

[ Nappa's height is still as unnecessary as ever, but he doesn't ever go through the trouble of trying to look up at him. Instead he gestures for his companion to follow as he picks up a map on his way to the closest shopping area for newcomers. ]

The cold ones were usually uninhabited. [ Vegeta shrugs, not missing the amount of different worlds they were forced to "investigate"]

What the hell are you on about, Nappa? Quit wasting time unless you want to freeze your ass off.

It's surprising how many people end up in vorlds like zhis after dying. My suggestion? Don't question it und just go vith it.

As for clothing, vell.. zhat's easy enough. Zhere are plenty of stories to find vat you need around.

[He's tilting his head a little at her, he's heard some weird languages and accents before, but this one is new. But he's pretty sure he has the words he needs in there.]

As for the second part, he's shrugging a little. He's really not that fussed about the weather, it's more the sticking out like a sore thumb aspect that gets to him.]

Stores. [When was the last time he actually paid for anything? ... Before his planet was destroyed, probably. Huh.]

[She just sits and watches the entire public video conversation between her father and Nappa before even bothering to flip on the video feed to reply.

Also, while the video feed sometimes makes it hard to fully judge height, based on what she can see in the background behind Nappa holy shit is he ever tall. She had no idea Saiyans could get that tall.]

There's a shopping mall with plenty of clothing stores not too far from where you are. I think one of the men's clothing stores has a big and tall section. Get yourself a tracksuit there, plus some jeans, a shirt and a hoodie. They're comfortable and will be a lot warmer than what you're wearing.

What's a mall? [Have to be blunt with this, Bulla, alien planets are usually kind of garbage tier compared to Earth. The rest of that he understood, mostly. Kind of.]

For that matter, what's... any of the rest of that other than a shirt? [... The armor mess really is the standard for Saiyans and this is going to be a long conversation. But he's shifting the camera around a little and she might catch sight of a brown tail flicking off to the side in the background.]

A mall is a building that contains multiple stores inside of it. It's nice in colder weather or when it's raining, because you can get all of your shopping done without having to go outside until you're done.

[She's willing to be patient for the sake of educating someone about fashion.]

Jeans are a kind of pants. A track suit is a matching shirt and pants designed for freedom of movement. Human athletes wear them when training outside in colder months. A hoodie is a type of long sleeved shirt with some warm and fuzzy lining inside, a hood at the top of it, and a pocket in the front around the stomach area.

[The tail will require some modifications, but if he gets clothes with a relaxed fit, these will mostly work until he can get those alterations done.]

[It actually all sounds a bit ridiculous to him, why would there be a need for shopping spaces like that? Only necessities are... necessary and that seems a waste of a building to him. But he's going to let that go for now while he listens to the whole... fashion... thing.

Some of it sounds nice, some of it sounds more tedious work than it really needs to be.] And I take it the latter of them is a colder weather type of thing? And why would someone that's being active want to cover their body? That detracts from freedom of movement instead of adding to it. [Says the man wearing armor and what is essentially a speedo, he's a work in progress, really. At least Vegeta had proper pants.

As for his tail, it'll be fine, the damn thing is usually wrapped around his midsection ninety percent of the time to begin with.]

[It's on the tip of her tongue to point out that he's in no position to be commenting about the practicality of clothing when he's prancing around in that outside in this weather. But she's trying to be helpful, so she persists.]

Someone who wants to be active outside in colder weather will cover their body to stay warm.

[And it's also good for not looking like you're prancing about in your underwear and armor.]

[Hey, he was a general at one point, he kind of has to think about the practicality of clothing. Not that it matters much anymore outside of the standard issue wear he was familiar with by this point.]

... Mm, I guess. How a fabric can be as flexible as without, I don't know. [But the weather part at least makes sense to him. And he'd have a nice comeback on that last part if she had the nerve to say it.]

It's made to stretch a bit. Especially the tracksuits. For the jeans, make sure you get a relaxed fit.

[This still sounds fake to him, but he'll at least keep that in the back of his mind to see if she's messing with him or not.]

I... suppose I should thank you for the information, Earth clothing is a foreign concept when it comes to something not really meant for fighting.

If you get the right materials it doesn't affect your freedom of movement too much. Not to mention most clothing is made for humans and beings who aren't as resistant to extremes in weather-temperature as Saiyans.

Right materials? Hadn't thought about it too much outside of what we normally tend to wear. It's not even a Saiyan thing that much anymore, the whole damn Frieza army starting using the design not too long after discovering it. [Explains a lot, probably. But the question of how he knows what a Saiyan is is getting his attention far easier.]

How do you know of what a Saiyan is, boy? [Boy is good, not meant to be condescending. Mostly.]

Wasn't a Frieza army thing to begin with, started with the Saiyans and he took it from us. Along with various other things, but how much do you know about what happened with that mess? [At this point he's taking a good guess as to who this kid might possibly be, so might as well be a bit more forthcoming about information than most, right?]

[The information is appreciated, as Trunks did only have part of the story and history. Not like Vegeta had ever been that forthcoming, and Bulma had only had so many details--at least in his timeline. There's an eyebrow quirked up.]

I know basically he enslaved the race, had you all function as space pirates and exterminators, destroyed the planet, and got his butt kicked finally. Then got better, came back, and got it kicked again more soundly along with his father. Last I heard of him he was in Hell, and I hope he stays there this time. He's worse than a cockroach.

Back to the topic at hand though, you can find active-wear that'll provide good cover from the elements and allow you decent freedom of movement. Look for military-style as a descriptor--it's not the most fashionable, but it stands up pretty well. Also you might want to learn how to lock and filter your device, unless you want the whole world to see every video you post.

More than most know. He destroyed the entire planet after taking a few of us from there, I'm sure you can take a wild guess as to the reason why. [Saiyans were terrifying just on their base strengths, so he's not surprised that someone was terrified of them just for that.]

I heard. We've all seen the personal hell that they gave him, rather fitting and amusing to watch. [Of course he'd get a kick out of that, but that's another story for another time and he'll sort of change subjects back to the topic.]

Military-style, got it. And fashion was never a big thing anyway, as long as it's functional I don't really care what it looks like. [What does get him to pause is the last sentence.]

Some people care, and don't realize. This place brings all kinds of people who are familiar with all different kinds of technology levels. Wasn't sure if you were aware or not so figured I'd warn you.

I'm guessing you're one of the offspring Vegeta was talking about? If your only interaction with Saiyans is him and Kakarot, then that would... explain a lot Kakarot's not like any of the rest of us and Vegeta... [He trails off for a moment, not quite sure how to word what he wants to word it.]

Is rougher around the edges, I guess. We were a war-type people, sure, but it was never to the levels of what Frieza was doing and those of us that had to deal with him were mostly tempered to seeing what kind of bullshit it all was. Just cogs in the wheel of his army unless we wanted to meet the same fate the vast majority of the rest of our race had.

Good guess--I got my Mother's coloring for hair and eyes.

Well, if what he said was true about the amount of Saiyans around here, I'd be the best bet on knowing any history on the planet or species in general, I'm far older than Kakarot or Vegeta. [Fucking clearly, Nappa.]

I have no intentions on trying to fight anyone here unless it's necessary or some sort of sparring, already died once, not keen on going through it again. But if you want to know more about that without any bias, that'd be more of a question for your father or Kakarot, either one.

I don't think there's any catch to it. I've been brought back to life twice with no problems!

...Have we met before? You look sorta familiar. [To be fair to Goku, he only met Nappa for about five minutes several decades ago before Nappa was blown up.]

As far as I can tell, the only catch is that the dead are truly alive again, meaning we can die again and have all the normally physical requirements of a living person -- eating, sleeping, that sort of thing. Though as I understand it, if we die again, this place can bring us back again after a few days.

I suppose the only 'catch' is that this place could discard of us and send us away at any moment, and who even knows what that might entail.

It's a time thing.

We're outside of any proper universe, there's gateways to lots of different universes, and inherent to that is that time flows improperly. Or doesn't even flow necessarily. It drives my best mates absolutely mad though. They're time-sensitive.
