1st Twin Roar [Action/Video]
[Action – Closed to Sting]
[It's an uncharacteristic kind of weariness that Rogue wakens to, one that just barely allows him to open his eyes and cut through the haze that has settled on his mind as he tries to figure out his surrounding. The last thing he can recall is traveling alongside Sting for their self-appointed mission to bring the Young Lady home. And then it all starts rushing back in flashes – their last-second arrival, the looming threat of Face, fighting Marde Guille, the struggle that fight has been so far, ducking away just so to dodge a punch–
It's instinct that has him move, pushing himself off his back, but the sudden collision with the cocoon walls that halts his attempt to roll himself up to his feet leaves him blinking dazed at said walls for a second (more out of surprise than of anything else), especially when he finally notices the welcoming package that's taken to sliding off his chest.
Okay, yeah, that didn't quite work out like he'd expected.
His second attempt to climb out and up to his feet is much more successful – even if he's still suffering faintly from the disorientation of that sudden dimensional displacement – and Rogue doesn't even think about it when he calls out for his partner.]
Sting?
[Because even though he has no clue what's going on yet, there is no way that Sting isn't here with him. Or is there?]
[Video]
[There is no video when the feed jumps on; rather than that there's a short muffled argument.]
So, is it working yet?
No. Are you a kid? You are too old to ask the same question over and over.
Well, you are taking forever. I thought you said this thing works like a communication lacrima.
'Like' doesn't make it 'same as'. And I'll take less of forever, if you stop breathing down my neck already.
[There's a quiet huff, a shuffling sound and a moment later the video feed activates properly, revealing Rogue sitting on the ground as he sets up the angle and Sting rocking on his heels just a pace or two behind him, glancing into the camera with a faint frown. They both very much look like they've just gotten out of a fight – there's scratches and scrapes and faint tears in their cloths all over them – but all in all neither of them seems actually injured.
A second later, Sting already leans forward to address... well, whoever is willing to listen.]
So, we got the gist of this whole alternate-dimension-mumbo-jumbo from that ever helpful welcoming pamphlet, but humor us anyway. Has anyone here ever heard of Earthland? Or that whatchamacallit-dimension? Edolas?
[That's be something to start with at least. He reaches up to comb his hand through his hair.]
Anyway, whoever's got the controls of this really got their inconvenient timing down. We have this mess we promised to take care of. Any chance we'll get to return to that any time soon?
[Rogue meanwhile frowns thoughtfully at that, noting more quietly – more to himself and Sting than to the general audience.]
Actually, that mess might have followed us.
[Sting blinks as he turns to his partner – for that moment they've both definitely forgotten that they are on live-feed.]
You think?
[Rogue shrugs faintly.]
We are both here, aren't we? If this is the kind of thing that targets areas...
[And they have been spending most of that battle fighting close quarters.]
...Point taken. [Sting turns back to the camera.] If anyone comes across a human-hating jerk that talks in third person and calls himself Marde Guille... uh.
[They share a glance – this sentence may or may not have been suffering from a lack of being thought out to the end and for a second neither of them is actually sure what kind of advice to give on this.It's not like there's a rulebook for how to deal with possibly century old demon bastards, okay?]
Don't engage unless you know you can keep pace with two Dragon Slayers at the same time.
[There is another small moment of pause, just the barest glance passing between them – an unanimous decision made without any need to say a single word.]
Actually, even if you can, we'd prefer if you'd left that guy to us.
We have a score to settle.
[And a guild mate to escort home, but well... that will have to wait.]

video;
Sting-san, Rogue-san. You're both safe.
[ She perked up a bit when she spoke. She only remembered the fight with Ezel and nothing after that. ]
video;
...Wendy. [Perhaps they should have expected this – her and others from her guild being here already... Fairy Tail is known to be found in the middle of trouble after all.] We are fine. What about you?
[Has she been stuck here for long? Is she the only other one from their world or are there more?]
video;
If you both need any healing, please let me know. A-Ah, I've been well for the most part. There are many people from Earthland here.
[ Just a few days ago their guild master made his appearance. She has been, but Wendy won't touch it unless the subject is brought up. ]
Rogue-san and Sting-san have just arrived here, then?
video; Again, Tarei xD Threadjacking this
Is Natsu and the others here too?
video; you sersly love threadjacking me
[ She nodded her head. ]
Yes, Natsu-san is here. As well as many others from Earthland. I haven't seen Gajeel-san in a while, though.
video; because you two called him out. sob.
[ Yes, the person you called out Twin Dragon Slayers, is sitting right there seemingly amused with your appearance. He didn't seem to show anything more than amusement as he greeted them-- well addressed them, rudely. ]
video;
That's a matter of opinion.
[Sting has been rather tame in his choice of words, if you ask Rogue.]
video; threadjack!
It saves us the trouble of hunting you down.
[They still owe him for the on-going fight, and then some.]
video; naturally!
[ his expression doesn't change ]
Are you searching for death, Twin Dragon Slayers?
[ He mused propping his hand. ]
Oh--?
video!
Only yours.
[Action]
The fellow dragonslayer was found standing next to Rogue's cocoon, staring, as if willing him to wake up faster.]
Right here. I was about to wake you up.
[He really was. This was no time to be catching up on sleep.]
I read the note, but it doesn't make sense.
[Even though Rogue had his own copy, Sting had already tossed his onto his partner's to be read. They were expected to get jobs and find a place to live. It could have been a trap of all things.]
[Action]
His eyes flicker over to Sting once he's done reading.]
...This is ridiculous.
[Maybe not quite the 'alternate dimension' part of it – the existence of Edolas is an open secret within the mage community after all – but the expectations of however had dragged them here and left them with just some papers. Just accepting to live on within this place – with their friends waiting back at the guild, the battle they had just been caught up in on-going, why would they ever accept something like that?
...Or, as circumstances seem to be, are they really being given a choice? What are they supposed to do?]
[Action]
They sound serious. [He replied abruptly, folding his arms.]
We even start out with money from this place.
[Rogue will find that in the box too.]
[ audio ]
{ He recognizes them from the Grand Magic Games. Dragon Slayers that, frankly, were humiliated by Fairy Tail. Zeref supposed it was inevitable that other guilds would get involved in fighting Tartarus, if Marde Guille's master plan was indeed to activate Face. The King of Hades didn't say much about them when last they spoke. They must not have been faring too well. }
no subject
[Well, they've been having trouble putting a proper scratch on him so far, but it's not like they've been going all out yet either.]
no subject
{ And he was tempted to intervene himself when Future Rogue showed up, but resisted the urge. Anything he could have done would only do more harm than good, plus Zeref thought he was severely underestimating Acnologia. Those seven dragons were the type he ate for breakfast even before becoming a dragon himself. Not to mention, Crime Sorciére and the Magic Council were present. It would have made a bad situation worse. }
Was Sabertooth the only guild other than Fairy Tail to begin fighting Tartarus?
[Video]
Dragon Slayers? Hmm. Are you a part of the Fairy Tail guild as well?
[Video]
[Or allied as of right now, with all the trouble with Tartarus. Given history it's kinda complicated, so 'acquainted' is probably a good word for it?]
[Video]
You will find their guild hall in Fayren, should you wish to make contact.
