Well, for example... Going on a picnic date isn't very luxurious, but you can learn a lot about the other person. But if you go to a movie or expensive theater production, you'll impress them without having much chance to talk.

If nothing else, you could test a few places yourself. Valentines Day is coming up, so it's a great time to ask a friend out on a date.

Most of my friends have gone home, or wherever they go when they're not here. The girl I went to the bar with is gone.

Ahhh, and then. There's an ocean themed spa, I think... Oh, or an aquarium, maybe?

[He nods slowly,] And I'm okay. I can't believe it's almost been a year since I came here.

I don't think so, it's not like I'd be going on her date. If she's even doing that. I don't know what she's doing. I didn't ask.

[He hums.]

I don't know. I like the ocean like you said. The beach. Atlantica.

[He nods.] I've been here ages I think? Time's hard to keep track of.

That's right, you were here before me... Maybe when you're done helping Ms Rose, you could go to a beach somewhere with your friends?

Yeah, it's been awhile. I guess? Most of my friends went home, but I could still go to the beach, I guess. When it's warmer.

I like to play with the water, but I'm not a big fan of freezing.

[He grins, manifesting a ball of water in his hand.]

Depends on who the person is. If they are someone who doesn't mind where they go it's much easier than if they are picky.

It's not really about someone specific, so I can't answer that. More like a general thing.

Then extremely general is just going for dinner.

That's helpful I guess. Is there anywhere they shouldn't go for dinner?

Places where the rating is below I'd say a 3 because then you might end up in a really dirty and rat-infested place.

Ugh, rats. Gross.

[He makes a face, definitely not. No eating at places with rats, definitely understands that.]

I mean you wouldn't want them in your food. But really it's easy enough to spot a place that is like that at least.

I will trust your judgment on that one.

Go to a picnic. Go to an aquarium, zoo, amusement park, event or whatever else place that interestest both or go shopping together. Make food or bake together where one of you lives, or go to a cafe, or take your date out to eat something or go see a movie. Maybe combine those two by going watch a movie before or after taking your date to a dinner. [Okay, enough eating there, moving on to something else...] Take a walk anywhere together -- nature, beach, tour around one or more of these cities and try something fun either one of you or both of you haven't tried before... Go try some sports together, play some games together, stay where one of you lives and watch some movies there or go to a concert together.

I can report that, but I'm not sure the subarchways are very helpful with those ideas. Books huh. Like a library? Sounds boring.
