[Action at and around the Bay]

[It was a relatively calm and normal day, but that wouldn't last past noon as an explosion echoed throughout the area surrounding The Bay. A certain eight foot tall man had woken up, crammed in one of the pods and immediately blasted his way out. The effect on the surrounding area was minimal, more sound than damage. Of course anyone with the ability to sense Ki levels would probably TASTE the spike in Ki following said explosive sound. But aside from the actual pod, the only casualties of the explosion were the items in the pod with him.]

[A few moments after the explosion, a large shirtless man, scars adorning his chest, face, and arms would stand at the entrance of the bay, looking out on the citywith a look in his eyes reminiscent of a wild and scared beast, uncertain if they should leave the relative safety of the cave.]

[Goku had been heading to one of the restaurants in Genessia City when he felt a wave of ki rush over him. It was a large amount of energy by any standard, even his own, but it was unfamiliar and it wasn't the sort of skin-crawling evil energy that someone like Freeza would put out.

Most people would wait to sense what was going on, or give this newcomer time to get used to their surroundings, but Goku... has already used Instant Transmission to go directly to the source. He appears right behind Broly, which probably isn't the best place to show up unexpectedly.]

Hi! You must be new here, huh?

[Popping in behind Broly isn't a good idea, Goku. His first instinct at feeling the presence behind him is to send a mountain crushing backhand as he spins around. Regardless of whether or not he connects, he's going to blink a bit before lowering his guard.]

K-Kakarot?

Whoa!

[Goku manages to get his arms up in time to block, though the backhand still sends him flying back into the cave wall, embedding him in it momentarily. He doesn't seem to mind, though - if anything, he's impressed!]

Well, most people call me Goku, but yeah, that's me! So are you a friend of Vegeta's? [After all, Vegeta's the only person who calls him that.]

[He just looks at Goku, cocking his head like a confused puppy.]

N-no... that's what you told me to call you. Though to be honest, I do not really know Vegeta... only what Father told me about his father.

Oh, okay! It must be one of those time things. They're pretty confusing - I knew someone who was a baby back home, but she was a lot older when she showed up here! [Hopefully Broly's not expecting a clearer explanation, because that's about as good as Goku can do.]

Well, if I told you to call me Kakarot, then you must be all right! Nice to meet you! ...again.

To be honest, I don't remember much of what happened when Frieza brought us to Earth.

[He scratches his head head a bit.]

Last thing I really remember is father telling me to kill Vegeta... and seeing him die.... and then waking up on Vampa...

[Goku doesn't seem too worried about Frieza coming back to Earth; he figured something like that might happen eventually. He'd like to think that Frieza would be grateful for them bringing him back to life, but Frieza can be a bit of a jerk.] Yeah, Frieza's always tryin' crazy stuff like that.

[He frowns when he hears that this guy's father died; while he never saw it happen to his own father figure, he knows what it's like.]

Don't worry - whenever we get back home, I'm sure we can bring him back with the Dragon Balls! It shouldn't be too much trouble.

Dragon... balls?

[There's a moment before what Lemo and Cheelai told him of why Frieza was going to Earth in the first place.]

Those gems Frieza wanted? Do they really have that kind of power?

Yep! We use 'em for all sorts of things, but bringin' people back to life with 'em is something that we do all the time!

...Frieza didn't get 'em, did he? He'd probably use 'em to become immortal. Though he did find out what it would be like to be stuck somewhere for all eternity, so maybe he's changed his mind 'bout that.

[That takes him aback a bit. The idea that such a thing is not only real, but has the power to undo even death is kinda mind boggling. It also brings up the rather complicated relationship with Paragus.]

He... he got them, but... I don't really remember much after that...

Really? Aw man... Well, hopefully he doesn't use 'em for immortality - dunno what else he'd use 'em for, though. Maybe a way to seal Lord Beerus, or wishin' to become a little taller? [He is pretty short...]

But enough about that! You know I'm Kakarot, but what should I call you?

[All this was giving the giant Saiyan a bit of a headache.]

I'm... Broly.

[Goku would probably get a headache if he took a few moments to think about this... Though him not thinking about it is probably what's making it so confusing.]

All right! So do you wanna get something to eat? There are some pretty good restaurants 'round here - we can go to any one 'cept for Oodles of Noodles. [He won a gift card to eat there one month for free - given how much he took advantage of that, they did not want him coming back there again.]

[He just nods, still very much unsure of Goku and his motivations. Gogeta did sorta almost kill him and all. Still, no saiyan would ever turn down a free meal.]

Great! ...You can fly, right? I mean, we can probably walk there, but that'd be much faster.

[All of this confusion is really motivating Goku to look into the Dream Docks that he had heard about. He hadn't been too concerned about it before, since the universe wasn't destroyed twenty minutes after he arrived, but between Frieza being up to his old tricks and this new friend that he hadn't met yet, things definitely sounded like they were pretty interesting back home.]

[Broly just blinks a bit before nodding. Flying was one of the first things Paragus taught him. Mobility was the key to combat after all.]
