[Action at and around the Bay]

[It was a relatively calm and normal day, but that wouldn't last past noon as an explosion echoed throughout the area surrounding The Bay. A certain eight foot tall man had woken up, crammed in one of the pods and immediately blasted his way out. The effect on the surrounding area was minimal, more sound than damage. Of course anyone with the ability to sense Ki levels would probably TASTE the spike in Ki following said explosive sound. But aside from the actual pod, the only casualties of the explosion were the items in the pod with him.]

[A few moments after the explosion, a large shirtless man, scars adorning his chest, face, and arms would stand at the entrance of the bay, looking out on the citywith a look in his eyes reminiscent of a wild and scared beast, uncertain if they should leave the relative safety of the cave.]

[Normally, Talking would be good. ...If Broly didn't have a couple friends that couldn't fight their way out of a wet paper bag that - as far as he knew - were alone on a planet of giant tick beetle things.]

I can't stay here. I have to get back to Vampa.

[Unfortunately for Trunks, Broly is no longer interested in taking the answers Trunks is giving him. The idea that Trunks is stranded here too hasn't even crossed his mind, so he's just going to draw himself up to his full height and take a few steps to close the distance between him and Trunks, looking as intimidating as possible.]

Take me to whoever is in charge. Now.

That's harder to do than you think.

[Good thing Trunks isn't the kind who's intimidated easily. Taking a moment to look the taller man over, and making a wild guess.]

If you're not a saiyan, you're from a universe that has a race almost identical to them I'm guessing. You're also probably used to some kind of militaristic chain of command too, if that's the case.

[Taking a breath, mostly to help keep himself calm.]

Unfortunately there is no real 'leader' or anyone central in charge. The best I can do, is call the guardian for this city, or one of the deputies. They're responsible for helping people and keeping the peace, and are the closest to a central figure you might be looking for. At least the one for Genessia City is, as Kuroneko-san's been here a while and very involved in things.

[Waiting to see how that is taken.]

[Suddenly all of Broly's imposing demeanor melts away to confusion.]

...Wait, you know of Saiyans? There should only be three other Saiyans left...

[Frieza's people either didn't know of Goten and Vegeta's kids, or simply not told Broly. Either way, Broly is confused as to how there could be more Saiyans...]

A meteor killed the rest of our race...

[Well, that was a good sign? Maybe? Trunks's smile is sad, but understanding.]

I do, because a few have been here before, along with some half-saiyans. I'm familiar with the very basics of how the race worked for Frieza, and how it died.

[Careful of his words; if there are only supposed to be three saiyans left, then who's the third that this guy means? Or does he mean other saiyans besides Vegeta and Goku? Or Nappa?]

I'm one of those half-saiyans, actually. From Earth originally, and raised by my mother most of my life. My father died when I was a baby. It's kind of a long story, but he was one of the very very few survivors.

[Maybe this will help form at least the beginnings of a friendly bond. Of course, Trunks is also bracing himself for any obvious questions this might bring up.]

[Broly just cocks his head further. This kid feels like Vegeta, but Kakarot was the one with a kid, right?]

...So you're... Gohan?

[All the confusion.]

[Blink. Blinkblinkblink.]

No, although he was my main teacher and like a big brother to me. That means you know of Goku right?

[Head-tilting, trying to recover from the awkwardness of a moment before.]

Kakkarot, if you go by what his saiyan name was? I know him as Son Goku.

[Relaxing a bit more, and taking a step back only to offer a polite half-bow.]

My name is Trunks--my mother's influence. I know this is all a lot to take in, and I wish I could give you better answers. Believe me, I really do.

[Some heartfelt exasperation there with the situation.]

[He nods.]

I was told there were only three other Saiyans that survived the destruction of Planet Vegeta outside my father and myself; Kakarot, Prince Vegeta, and Gohan, apparently Kakarot's son?

[He shakes his head, still very confused.]

...but that doesn't explain... you.

Gohan is Kakarot's son, yes. It took a lot, but Vegeta ended up on Earth too after a while. I'm his son, not that he really seemed to want anything to do with me.

[Okay, maybe letting a hint of old bitterness into that. They may be on good terms now, and his timeline's version of Vegeta had the excuse of being dead. But the Vegeta of the other timeline HADN'T wanted anything to do with Trunks really, not until they were fighting Cell, and especially not until after Trunks had died.

Of course, now that it's been pointed out, taking out the hair and eye-color, Broly might be able to see the resemblance between Vegeta and Trunks. Except Trunks is friendlier and more open. Get him to scowl or smirk, and it'd be more obvious.]

As I said, it's a long story, and complicated. I don't have all the answers--I'm not sure anyone here does, but I can call someone who might have more than I do. Would that help?

Oh. That... actually explains a lot.

[Broly can actually sympathize with Trunks about the whole dad thing. Paragus was far from a good father after all.]

I just... need to get back to Vampa. My friends won't survive there without me.

[And that makes Trunks relax a further, relaxing his shoulders and stance.]

I understand that feeling and need, very very well. I just don't have an answer or way to do that, and I'm not sure anyone does. I AM going to call in someone who has been here longer than I have though, and might have more information.

[Still keeping things obvious, Trunks will pull out his communicator and look up Satou.]

Kuroneko-san? If you could come to the bay in Genessia? I have a new arrival here, who you might be better able to help than I can with information.

Ah, Trunks-san!

[Satou is pretty cheerful in her reply,]

I'll be right over! Thank you for the tip. Can you hold on for a moment, please?

[Satou will just see the head of a very large man peek over Trunks, giving the device a look extremely reminiscent of a confused puppy.]

[Trunks will move the device more so Satou can see the screen, as can Broly.]

This is Satou Kuroneko, the guardian for Genessia city. She's been here longer than I have, and knows more about what goes on than I do.

[A brief look at Broly.]

I figured, since you've had a confusing wake-up and arrival, having her involved will also help.

Aha, so you're a new arrival!

[Satou gives a friendly wave, and a matching giggle.]

Yes, hello! I've been here for nearly a year now. Is there a specific question that you have in mind, sir?

[Broly gives Trunks a confused look before addressing the tiny child in the tiny machine. Technology is weird.]

I need to get back to Vampa.

[Guess communicators like this are a new thing.]

I know she looks young, but Kuroneko-san really is capable.

[Then back to Satou.]

Unfortunately, he's very insistent on needing to get home. Which, I can understand--but I also don't have nearly all the answers to help in this case. Hence part of why I'm calling you.
