Back to school, anyone?

Betelgeuse's video feed turned on, revealing a gym and some bleachers. Betelgeuse floated just in front of the bleachers, grinning smugly.

"YO, GENESSIA. So, here's the thing. This pretty cool kid, Koishi, introduced me to a thing called danmaku. It's kind of a game, kind of a duel, and kind of a sport. In other words, IT'S EXCITING AND FUN AND YOU SHOULD WANT IN ON IT. This is, eventually, gonna be Genessia's hottest new spectator sport. Only thing is we're a bit lacking in players, know what I mean?

Pay attention, 'cause this is where you come in! I'm opening an official danmaku training course! We'll train you how to play danmaku for a teeny, tiny fee that will go, at least in part, to helping me pay for this gymnasium!

This is an opportunity you don't want to miss! The top danmaku players will eventually earn lots of money and prizes! So, get on your phones and give me a ring!"

"Shopping?" She blinked. "Money? I gave my money to sis. She's making some money right now by exchanging electricity for sake in the ancient city. So we have some money. And we have lots of money saved up so I could ask her for some of that. I bet she would love to help Mister."

"Uh...wait. Is she providing the electricity or the sake? Would she give us some sake?" Betelgeuse asked, fully aware that he was getting off topic. Right. Shopping. "Well, I got a little cash, but unless you don't mind me stealing some stuff, we're gonna need money."

"Sis provides electricity and gets various things out of it. She can sell some of the sake for money. But I can bring some if you want. We have quite a bit." A smile. "It's good sake too. Oni made it. But She'll give us some money too. I can bring it to you."

"Good, good, that'll help a lot. So, since you're the main teacher, babes, when do you want to hold classes? We should probably advertise, like in the papers and such, too."

"Umm... I don't have a good sense of time. When is a good time for me to teach?" A pause. "I should ask Miss White about this. I bet she could help with something like that. She talks sometimes about a school where she's-"

The camera shook. "Scribbles...! Scribbles no! That's a button. That's not food." A raccoon could be glimpsed several times on the camera. Koishi probably had the creature in her lap. "Shhh... Calm down. Greedy thing."

"Well, whenever you're not busy doing something else. I suggest afternoons," Betelgeuse explained. "Who's yer friend?"

She scooped up the raccoon with one hand, holding him up to the camera. He was very fluffy and very chubby. "This is scribbles. He's really greedy because he nabs food he's not supposed to have and will bother you until you pet him." He leaned in, sniffing at the phone before losing interest, squirming. Koishi set him back down, stroking his head.

"What time during the afternoon? And what days? I'm not good with days... I'll need to get sis to poke me."

"I never blame anyone for grabbing food, when they can, not even fluff balls," Betelgeuse told her, shrugging.

"Yeah, get your sis to help. I don't know your schedule. My advice though is to do it during the work week. Don't try and screw around with people's weekends."

"But we already feed him. It's not right that he nibbles on food that was meant for someone else. Sis has dozens of animals and all of them need to eat."

A pause. "What days are the work week? And should it be once a week? Or twice a week?"

"Heh. Okay, but you still gotta admire his gumption. I do," Betelgeuse insisted. "Work days are usually every day but Saturday and Sunday. Usually. I'd go for those, at least twice a week."

Betelgeuse wondered if he should talk to Koishi's sister about this stuff himself, but he didn't know her or what she thought of their plans.

"Oh. Ok!" She perked up. "Would you like to talk to Miss White? She opened a school too. I bet she would have lots of good ideas. And she's interested in Danmaku!

"Uh, yeah, talking to Miss White would be good," Betelgeuse agreed, shrugging. "Though, I really need to meet your sis, I think."

"You'll meet Sis soon, okay? You can come down to the Fayren waterways and find the sub archway if you want. Sis is always at home. Just be careful if you see any hellfire. It's snowy here right now though so don't worry too much. I'll call Miss White so she can talk to you, okay?"

She began fiddling with the phone again, frowning deeply as she tried to do something... "Stupid thing... Stupid stupid. How do I work this thi-" and the video abruptly clicked off.

"Okay, fair enough," Betelgeuse agreed, shrugging. Things were going quite well, so far, and he was content to let things fall into place. He chuckled, when the phone clicked off. Well, she'd other come back or this White would. He hoped.

[And roughly ten minutes later, Satsuki appears in the feed.]

Mister Beteleuse. Komeiji has informed me of your situation, and it sounds like it has professional potential.

What is your end goal? To create a league?

[She recognizes the man from the beauty pageant. It was certainly a.. Unique performance.]
