[Ace is sitting and staring, brows furrowed a little. This whole situation has really gotten him frustrated. He went from either dying, or being damn close to it, to this. And while he's absolutely fine with not having his life ended, there's no amount of questions that are unanswered and he's worried for the people left behind. He really did screw up, there was so much he could have done differently, so much trouble he could have saved for those who had to suffer because of his choices and convictions. He's not even sure that his attempt to save his brother worked, and he's not certain he can handle not knowing if those left behind will be okay or not.

It's easier to live without regrets when death is actually the end and you don't have to experience any further consequences.

And now, he's got this second chance but it's overwhelming somehow. He's not going to take for granted a round two at life, but where to go from here when everything is so new and different is exhausting to think about. And somehow exciting too. He's got an idea of what he needs to do, but he's still a little in shock about the whole situation.

After about a minute, he realizes that he's been filming himself, and actually decides to speak.]

Okay, so I'm-[Ace stops mid-sentence, and his head rolls back at an awkward angle. And he starts to snore, while the camera just keeps recording. This goes on for quite a while, unfortunately. And then as suddenly as he passed out, he jerks upright again and blinks. It's a confusing day as is, and narcolepsy doesn't help with that.] Damn. Happened again. Anyway, I'm Ace. If you've got any good information that might help a guy out, I might make it worth your while. [He probably won't.]

Wow. I guess I'm more adventurous than I thought. I never took myself for the sleeping with the enemy kinda guy.

[Namur nods and shrugs, it was what it was. Then shrugs and leans to the side with a cringe because ehhhhhhhhh. It wasn't just screwing. But.]

[This is gonna be bouncing around in his brain for a while, so he decides the best way to deal with it is to just let it go. For now, at least. This is kind of horrific, and absolutely fun teasing material. And now that he's gotten a taste of how easy it is to harass the Marine is he's not gonna let up.]

So I got a room, kinda? They provided a place, but I guess I need to get on the job hunt and find a real place to stay. [Ace sighs.] This is gonna take some getting used to.

[Namur didn't expect he'd want to talk about it with him much anyway. But if Ace is aware, then... Well, does it make much difference if he lived it or not? Namur considers himself most likely dead too, though going to the dream docks had given him a side life more than any appreciable advance in his home life. In the end, the mindset is the same. That life is done and gone. All he can do now is forge ahead here. Such as he can.

[Ace is overwhelmed, but also kind of excited about second chances. He's got a lot to work with here, and he's already starting up this new life. He's not sure where he'll go with it, what he'll do, but he feels more free here already than he ever did back home.

Good. 'Cause if it wasn't you were gonna have to bribe me to get information. [He grins cheekily.] I've gotten an invitation to go out for drinks, but I can probably come along after that. It shouldn't take me too long.

Don't think I won't, if somethin's buggin' y' but yer bein' a shit. If I can't slug it outta y' maybe I can slosh it outta y', sheheheh!

Gimme a call when yer done. 'Specially if yer havin' a hard time gettin' yerself 'round. 'S what I do for a livin' now anyway so it ain't outta the ordinary.

[Ace can hang out with whoever he wants. Namur did say it wasn't the worst idea. It just also wasn't the best. He thinks Ace deserves someone more open, instead of having to fight tooth and nail for every shred of affection. But in the end, that's just his opinion. And while he wishes people would listen to him more often, he is admittedly a dumbass, so he can hardly blame smarter folk for not doing so.]

[Ace can, and does do what he wants. Which is why he's off making poor life choices, because it suits him, but it doesn't sound right in his mind to be going off with the enemy just a day after arriving.]
