How fascinating.

[Genessia's newest angel is levitating their device in front of them - as they levitate over the Genessia Commonspace building. Their robes are in simple earth tones, and their armour in white and muted gold. There is no face beneath their hood, though it moves as if there were as they watch the device. They hold a large scroll under one arm.]

[But what stands out most of all are their wings: a pair of pauldrons float above their shoulders, from which tendrils of blue-white light shift and sway.]

[After a moment of observation, they continue to speak. Their voice is slow and steady. If a little monotone.]

Greetings. I am Itherael, Aspect of Fate, and Archangel of the High Heavens. It is my understanding that this device allows me to access a communication network for others who have been brought here. Whatever force did this to us must indeed be powerful to have breached Heaven. Has their purpose in these abductions been determined yet?

Also...[Itherael holds up the wad of cash given to new arrivals.] I do not require money, food, or lodgings. If employment is required to attain these things, then I do not require employment.

I have observed your...conversation on the matter. [For the most part, anyway.] You doubt the explanation given by these so-called spirits, and believe their motives to be mischievous, if not malicious, correct?

["Mischievous" is as close to "fucking with us" as Itherael's going to say.]

And it is unknown if the spirits are our abductors or not. Hm, not knowing is...concerning.

Strikes me more as some sort of reality chamber. Messing with people for schadenfreude, or they'd just stick to the native population.

I understand your suspicions, though I am unfamiliar with the term "schadenfreude." If there is an opportunity for me to do so, I intend to aid the others here in finding the truth of this place.

They can infer whatever they want with regard to motive. The evidence speaks for itself. Implying benevolence based on culprits' words alone is, at best, naive, and with new people, downright dangerous.

His wording was explicit, yes. But after watching over your discourse, I have a better understanding of both of your perspectives. It seems there is still much uncertainty about Genessia.

Though I, too, have pondered life outside of Heaven and Hell, I would not think to abduct those lifeforms from their place in existence.

That's the hell of it, even claiming abduction at all is rash. The method's mysterious too. None of us can definitively fill the gap between then and now. "Kidnapping" is emotionally satisfying, but there's no telling just yet. I don't know how much an archangel puts stock in first impressions--

--but it's important to remain in doubt until more becomes clear. Don't worry; we're all, myself included, striving towards that very thing.

I am well enough. It has been said of angels that we do no do well with change...we will see how true that is.

As you are not an angel or demon, your fate would not be written in the Scroll. Humans and...other beings such as yourself exist outside of the order of the Eternal Conflict. As such, your fate is yours to decide.

I do not know what a "car" is. Also, you have used the word "cool" several times, but not in reference to climate or temperature. Is this a local colloquialism?

[Itherael tenses] So there are demons here...If she is from the same Burning Hells that was made opposite of the High Heavens I hail from, then it is likely she is in Talus'ar, the Scroll of Fate. Though I caution you that demons are prone to deceit, chaos, and wickedness. You should not keep acquaintance with one.

[They take a moment to think, before turning their levitating device to look down at the streets in front of the Genessia Commonspace. Various cars drive by, including a few shiny red ones.] Are these transportation machines the "cars" you speak of? [The device turns back to Itherael] They are doubtless fascinating machines, but we angels have transportation methods of our own. [They fluff their wings, the light tendrils swishing in unison.] As for my face, I do not have one. [No big deal]

"Cool"...[They think on this, again taking a second. They get a little stuck on the "justice" part though.] "The Sword of Justice is cool." [It meets most of those criteria...]

I have not heard of Sornieth, nor the clan you speak of. However, you say you are aligned with the forces of Light? Then you and I are allies; we angels are beings of light, who maintain and protect its order against the evils of demons and the realms they spawn from.

Archangels are the highest-ranking angels of our kind. We guide and protect the rest of our kin and the High Heavens.

I have heard of dragons before, but I have not encountered one myself. What more can you tell me of your kind?

So, Itherael. This is a standard warning, but I'm giving you the polite version, because manners beget manners. We're not looking for a new supreme overlord, ruler, god, or ultimate being, benevolent or otherwise. Thank you for not, y'know, trying to claim such a position. To answer your question about currency, it's required to buy pretty much anything - so unless you can will things into existence, and I'm not betting against that at the Archangel level, you'd need it if you ever, say, wanted to give someone a gift.

Also, you may want to avoid Everglade. Just your presence there would be seen as a threat by a lot of people, and some of them are probably at least on equal footing with you.

[They're a little more calm as they continue.] The angels of the High Heavens do not aim to rule other realms, but to hold back the evil and corruption of demons in the Eternal Conflict. My role is one of observation and support, and I intend to maintain this. [With that out of the way, concern enters their voice.] Have my kin appeared here and made such threats in the past?

[They'll come back to cash and Everglade later. Really, they're taken aback by the unexpected warning, and the implication of previous hostility on the part of other angels.]

More like self-professed divinities and would-be conquerors. No offense intended, but when someone shows up here claiming to be such-and-such from Somewhere Important-sounding, they tend to be of the impression that their connections from their world make them somehow better than everyone else here.

[The mention of demons makes him wince a bit. Yeah... this could be problematic.] Gods, monsters, demons, men, and angels are expected to lay aside their conflicts while here. That's the generally accepted rule. So, if you hear someone casually admit to being a demon? I would recommend not immediately reaching for the holy shotgun, or whatever it is you use to fight them with. Odds are better than even that they have friends who would take exception.

My..."deal" is that the High Heavens do not run on currency. It is used by mortals, and coveted by the greedy.

And used by Death as a measure of a soul's repentance of their sins in life, and thus the only way a soul is reincarnated, saving that soul from an eternity of servitude. Man, for an angel you kinda suck at knowing how things work.
