[His arrival a few days ago had been less than unsightly considering one minute he was holding a bloody and injured Kaito and the next he was transported to a place like this. He'd searched for hours for his injured teammate and it wasn't until dawn had arrived that he slowly came to terms with his new circumstances. He sensed them - Purebloods. It wasn't until he got a better grasp of this place that Zero decided to use the small communication device.

The recording turned on showing a stiff looking hunter whose lips thinned into a grim line.]

The rules of the Association still apply.

[And with that simple sentence, the Hunter cemented his stance.]

[He raised a brow. Of course, he'd felt the other Pureblood and even guessed they were rather weak but he'd assumed it was his fiancee. It had felt like her only different but considering all the strange things about this place he hadn't put much thought to it.]

[He had seen his fiancee hours before he was transported here and the thought that that little girl had one of her own.... It wasn't any of his business.]

[Kaname nodded elegantly. For a moment, he just gazed silently at Zero. He was musing about Kimiko's situation and Yuuki's lack of memories. He simply had to ask the next question.]

What was the last thing you remember?

[By now, he was used to Purebloods and their play with words. He had little tolerance for it.]

[Sometimes, he wished for nothing else but to strangle the hunter, but he had to remind himself that Zero had his uses.]

This place has its way of bringing people here from varying periods of time. In fact, I won't be surprised if you showed up here with a body and memory of yourself as a five year old kid.

Essentially, I'll need the information to brief you.

[He'd heard of this occurrence from the other residents and struggled to believe such a thing could happen. Even here, in this strange place, how could they... it was like playing with time and memories. How disgusting.]

We were assigned to protect the Kuran Mansion. It was attacked by Purebloods - Kaito got hurt.

[Kaname clearly had no memory of this. As far as he remembered, the mansion was the last place he'd have Zero guard. It was an acceptable arrangement however if Yuuki was in danger.]

What do you remember about my Yuuki?

[leashed_hunter]

She is the youngest of the Purebloods. Kuran Kaname is her brother and fiancee.

[He answered matter-of-factly.]

[At least Zero knew that Yuuki was his fiancee. But something seemed off.]

Nothing else?

[leashed_hunter]

What else is there.

[He was fishing and Zero had enough of it. There was nothing else that mattered. The girl had been concerned over him after his coma something he quickly put a stop to with Bloody Rose aimed at her. It was probably why she always fidgeted around him. She probably didn't like him around, not that he cared.]

[Curious case indeed. Why was he unaware of everything else surrounding Yuuki. But his pulse told Kaname that Zero wasn't lying. This was weird, if anything.]

It doesn't matter. As you know there are other vampires here which you are familiar with but a greater number which you've never felt back in our world.

Hence, I urged caution. [He said urging Zero to walk with him.]

What makes you think I haven't considered that?

[He stayed in place making no move to join him.]

For a Pureblood, you missed a lot.

I am simply keeping you informed.

[He continues to walk.]

Like I said, the association is not here to back you up. Neither would I so willingly endanger my family if you act so indecisively.

[He stands still.]

[For a moment Kaname turns around and looked at Zero with no emotions in his dark eyes. They narrow briefly before they soon return to their usual lifeless demeanor.]

You're aware that the Association cannot exist without the Vampire Council's approval. So this little parade of yours cannot subsist on your will alone.

So without anyone's support, I would like to see you succeed in putting the rest of the vampires in control. Because the nobles are under my care.

The Association exists because of that noble woman who gave her life to stop your kinds reach. I don't need some corrupt council or Pureblood King to approve how a Hunter conducts the duty we were born with.

[primumsanguis]

[A tart hint of emotion revealed itself for a brief moment: love and sadness hidden behind anger. That was his first love. The woman he had loved for over 10,000 years. For Zero to talk about it so lightly was annoying to say the least.]

A Pureblood. She was a pureblood. Remember that if I will it, Bloody Rose won't be anything else but a normal gun.

We know that better than anyone.

[She lived on in their weapons, her heart the core of who they were. Among the Hunters she was revered for her great sacrifice, while the vampires dismissed her as that Pureblood who went against them. To Hunters she wasn't simply some Pureblood. She was the the beginning of their existence, the very reason most vampires loathed to even hear her name.]

You don't. All of you see her as only a weapon. Don't speak as if you revere her or know everything about her, Hunter.

[This was the most emotional he's ever been outside of protecting Yuuki.

Was this his dream so long ago? He thought it would have been over in a year or two. And yet, ten thousand years later, nothing has changed. The power struggle still remained and humans still died needlessly. In the end, all the purebloods should die with the help of a pureblood couple. And when everything was safe, one would sacrifice his life to turn the other into a human. Only then would vampires cease to exist. Only then will everything in the world be put to peace.]

Now. I urge you to keep her by your side. You know where to find me when you finally realize your idiotic ideals is getting you no where, and is getting all your contacts killed.

[He turned around then having had enough of his Pureblood arrogance.]

Don't pretend to know the duties of a Hunter.

[He walked away.]

[He said as he disappeared. He still had lots of ways to monitor the hunter's movements. More than just familiars. But for now, he let the hunter be. There were more pressing matters to attend to.]
